I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

123: Chapter 123 It turns out he’s a mental patient.”As for what kind of nobody I am, I don’t even know myself.”

”I am Long Zaitian, leader of the Dragon Group. I am humbled to serve as the current leader of the Dragon Group.”

”I am willing to testify on behalf of Young Master Chu. Zhang Yang’s case has nothing to do with Young Master Chu.”

With that, Group Leader Long Zaitian pulled a golden medallion from his pocket.

On the medallion was a lifelike pattern of a soaring dragon, with four small characters engraved below: Dragon Group Leader.

This was the unique medallion symbolizing identity within the Dragon Group, and even more so, it symbolized the supreme power of the Dragon Group.

At this, not only Jiang Chen, but even Party Secretary Chu Yushan and the others looked somewhat puzzled.

It wasn’t that the official rank of this Dragon Group leader before them was incredibly terrifying.

Someone at Party Secretary Chu Yushan’s level still had some understanding of the Dragon Group.

The Dragon Group was the most secretive organization, a sharp sword of the Dragon Kingdom.

When did Chu Yuan get involved with the Dragon Group?

Party Secretary Chu Yushan had a face full of confusion.

Not to mention Party Secretary Chu Yushan, even Chu Yuan himself was a bit puzzled.

Seeing that the other party didn’t seem to harbor much ill intent, Chu Yuan didn’t bother to think too much about it.

Since everyone was here, he might as well play along with this little Protagonist.

”Everyone, the reason Jiang Chen went to such lengths to slander me was merely out of spite and retaliation.”

”As everyone knows, Jiang Chen has been frantically pursuing our Officer Lin Wanzhu.”

”As luck would have it, I had a casual dinner with Captain Lin a few days ago, and we watched a movie together.”

”Jiang Chen couldn’t swallow his anger, which is why he stirred up so much trouble.”

”Nonsense! I, Jiang Chen, only wanted to enforce the law impartially and arrest you, a murderer!”

”Don’t you dare slander my innocence here in an attempt to divert everyone’s attention and hide the truth of your murder!”

With his true motives exposed by Chu Yuan, Jiang Chen could no longer keep his composure.

”Nonsense?”

”Director Jiang, you can’t produce any evidence to defame me, yet I have ironclad proof of you stalking Captain Lin and me.”

As he spoke, Chu Yuan patted Jiang Chen on the shoulder.

Then, he pulled out a stack of photos and slapped them onto the table.

On them, the ironclad evidence of Jiang Chen stalking Chu Yuan was plain to see.

With the ironclad evidence right there, everything was now crystal clear.

It was all because of Jiang Chen’s relationship issues—he had acted out of jealousy and set up a frame-job.

Everyone’s eyes filled with mockery.

Of all the things this kid could have done, he just had to get jealous over Chu Yuan and even dare to frame him.

Now, he would either rot in prison or meet a violent end.

”Jiang Chen, the truth is out. You can give up now.”

Police Bureau Chief Jiang Haitian scolded angrily, ”Someone, arrest this frantic madman!”

”Framed! Chu Yuan is framing me!”

”What are you doing? Get away from me!”

Jiang Chen’s lung-splitting screams were met only with cold sneers and ridicule.

The gleaming handcuffs filled Jiang Chen with dread.

If he were really arrested, he would likely be tormented to death by Chu Yuan.

It seemed he had no choice but to use his final trump card.

Jiang Chen channeled his internal energy, pulled a white pill from his robe, and prepared to slip away.

In the next second, he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

”My internal energy?”

Jiang Chen panicked; he had actually been reduced to a useless cripple.

It turned out that the pat Chu Yuan gave him earlier had already used the Huayang Needle Technique to destroy Jiang Chen’s cultivation.

”Chu Yuan, how dare you destroy my cultivation! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!”

Jiang Chen screamed hysterically, but was pinned firmly to the ground by two police officers.

Having lost his cultivation, Jiang Chen was weaker than an ordinary person, leaving him with absolutely no room to resist.

”Secretary Chu, Young Master Chu, Jiang Chen has abused his public office to frame someone. This is a very serious matter.”

”In my opinion, we should first place him in solitary confinement, then launch a formal investigation. He’ll get at least life imprisonment.”

Police Bureau Chief Jiang Haitian said.

The Chu family’s foundation was already unshakable, and now Chu Yuan even had the assistance of the Dragon Group. Police Bureau Chief Jiang Haitian was a smart man; how could he not understand what he needed to do next?

Seeing this, Chu Yuan shook his head with a faint smile:

”Director Jiang, there’s actually no need to go through all that trouble.”

”The reason Jiang Chen did so many foolish things is, firstly, because excessive work pressure caused issues in his head, and secondly, because of his obsessive infatuation with Captain Lin.”

”With these two factors combined, he suffered a mental breakdown, which led to him doing all these foolish things.”

”I, Chu Yuan, am not a petty person, nor will I hold a grudge against a mental patient. Let’s just send him directly to a Mental Hospital for treatment.”

Send him to a Mental Hospital for treatment?

Everyone was stunned for a moment. Looking at the playful smile on Chu Yuan’s lips, they seemed to understand something.

”Young Master Chu, you are far too soft-hearted. Jiang Chen not only framed you but even wanted to put you to death. For Young Master Chu to return good for evil and even send him for treatment is simply letting him off too easily.”

”No wonder this guy has been running wild and biting everyone like a mad dog. Turns out he’s a mental patient.”

”Young Master Chu is indeed impressive, seeing through this guy’s mental issues at a single glance.”

Flattery never goes out of style.

If they didn’t seize this opportunity to cozy up to Chu Yuan and flatter him, when would they?

As for Jiang Chen, he was just a failed loser.

Whether they gave him life imprisonment to keep him locked up forever or treated him as a mental patient, it was all just a matter of a single word from them.

Hearing that Chu Yuan actually wanted to send him to a Mental Hospital, Jiang Chen felt his scalp go numb with fear.

He knew very well that Chu Yuan was definitely not being ”kind-hearted” or sending him there to ”recover.”

If he really went to a Mental Hospital, even if he wasn’t sick, he would be driven mad by the lunatics inside.

Once he entered and was ”diagnosed” as a mental patient, even if he got out, he would carry that label forever. Who would ever believe him in the future?

”I’m not sick! You’re the one who’s mentally ill, Chu Yuan!”

”Don’t you dare think of sending me to a Mental Hospital! I won’t let you manipulate me!”

Burning with rage, Jiang Chen raised his hands and resisted desperately.

Unfortunately, he had absolutely no room to resist, nor did he have any choice.

Hearing this idea, Party Secretary Chu Yushan also agreed to it.

The commotion Jiang Chen caused today was too big. If they declared to Xuancheng that he was ill, it would provide an explanation to everyone and minimize the impact of the incident.

”Chu Yuan is right. Jiang Chen only did these foolish things because of his high work intensity, paranoia, and mental instability.”

”Starting today, Jiang Chen is relieved of all his duties and will be sent to Qingshan immediately for treatment. All necessary expenses will be covered by the government.”

”No one is allowed to speak carelessly about today’s events to the outside world. Violators will be severely punished.”

”Yes!”

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Sending Jiang Chen to Qingshan for treatment was beneficial to everyone.

Since the big boss had already spoken, why wouldn’t they go along with it?
