I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

103: Chapter 103 The First Protagonist Almost Choked to DeathZhang Yang clenched his fists tightly, ready to take the other man out at the slightest disagreement.

Anyway, he had already killed one Wang Hao, so he wouldn’t mind adding another life to his tally.

Just as things were at a critical juncture, the sound of footsteps rang out. A man dressed as a scholar emerged from the room, attempting to smooth things over.

”Just because you’re in a bad mood doesn’t mean you should make others take the blame.”

”It’s not easy for this young man to deliver food, so don’t make things difficult for him.”

A kindred spirit!

After all this time, Zhang Yang had finally found a kindred spirit.

His face filled with emotion, he almost shed tears of gratitude, nodding repeatedly. ”Thank you, thank you for understanding! Big brother, please, just let me go this time.”

Zhang Yang looked eagerly at the middle-aged man before him; as long as he didn’t give him a negative review, anything was negotiable.

”So, according to you, I’ve become the bad guy in all of this.”

”It’s simple enough not to give you a negative review. As long as you do something for me, let alone skipping the negative review, giving you a five-star rating would be a piece of cake.”

The man’s tone suddenly shifted.

Seeing the turn of events, Zhang Yang was overjoyed. ”What is it? As long as it’s something I can do, I will definitely give it my all.”

”It’s very simple. Because you delivered this takeout too early, it put me in a bad mood. You just need to eat all of this food, and we’ll call it even.”

Eat the takeout? Was that even a condition?

Zhang Yang stared at him, speechless, unable to fathom what the man was trying to achieve.

”If you can’t even handle such a simple condition, it seems you aren’t very sincere.”

”I actually felt sorry for you earlier and wasn’t going to give you a negative review, but it looks like a negative review is all you deserve.”

Zhang Yang’s hesitation and suspicion completely infuriated the middle-aged man. He picked up his phone, ready to tap that little star.

”Wait, don’t! I’ll eat it!”

It’s just eating some takeout; it’s not a big deal.

To avoid another one-star negative review and to get the man to fulfill his promise of a positive review, Zhang Yang was willing to make the sacrifice.

Without further hesitation, Zhang Yang picked up a portion of the takeout and began to gorge himself.

In no time at all, he had polished off the first portion.

He immediately followed it up with the second.

”Ugh!” Zhang Yang rubbed his slightly rounded belly and couldn’t help but let out a burp.

In less than twenty minutes, he had already polished off four portions.

His stomach was completely stuffed, and he was so full he could barely move.

Looking at the two remaining portions of takeout—especially the four bowls of steaming white rice—Zhang Yang’s hands and feet trembled uncontrollably.

This was six large dishes and eight servings of rice! He wasn’t a pig; managing to force down four portions had already required gritting his teeth and pushing through.

”Brother, I... I’m really too full. Can we just forget about the last two?”

Zhang Yang was on the verge of kneeling down to beg the man.

Eating this much was absolute torture.

The middle-aged man didn’t say a word; he simply took out his phone and waved it in front of Zhang Yang.

Zhang Yang clearly saw the review screen on the man’s phone.

The meaning was crystal clear: if he didn’t finish the last two portions, all his previous efforts would be in vain, and he, Zhang Yang, would still end up with that one-star rating.

For the sake of a positive review! I’ll endure it!

Once I get that positive review and end this transaction, I’ll make sure to pay you back for all this suffering ten, no, a hundred times over!

Zhang Yang gritted his teeth. To avoid another system punishment, he would accept being a pig for today.

Channeling the spirit of a true foodie, he continued to gorge himself on the remaining two portions.

It took a full half-hour for Zhang Yang to finish these last two portions.

The scene was a complete mess, but Zhang Yang couldn’t care less; he lay on the ground, utterly drained.

His belly was so round and swollen that even a ten-month pregnancy wouldn’t look as terrifying.

After a while, feeling slightly better, Zhang Yang turned his gaze to the middle-aged man. ”I’ve finished all the food. Happy now?”

”Since you’ve finished it all, I won’t go back on my word.”

”But haven’t you noticed something wrong with your body?”

The man wore a smug smile, staring at Zhang Yang with a mocking glint in his eyes.

Something wrong with his body? Zhang Yang hadn’t noticed much, other than his stomach feeling horribly bloated.

He had finished the meals meant for six people by himself; it was a miracle he hadn’t burst.

However, now that the middle-aged man mentioned it, Zhang Yang felt a wave of dizziness and an overwhelming urge to sleep.

As soon as this urge appeared, it quickly washed over his entire body.

The next moment, Zhang Yang was so sleepy he couldn’t keep his eyes open, and he drifted off into a deep sleep.

”Haha, this silly kid is almost adorably stupid. I thought it would take some effort to deal with him.”

”I didn’t expect him to have zero defenses and fall right into the trap.”

Seeing Zhang Yang pass out, the man let out a burst of wanton laughter.

The scholar who had helped smooth things over joined in with a cold laugh.

”Oh right, didn’t this kid beg me to give him a one-star rating earlier? I’m not a man who goes back on his word, so I’ll give it to him now.”

With that, the man tapped a single star on the review interface.

”Ding! The host has received another negative review. The system is initiating the punishment mechanism: deducting ten years of the host’s lifespan.”

”Friendly reminder to the host: due to the excessive number of negative reviews received recently, if another negative review is received within three days, this system will enter self-destruct mode and terminate the host.”

The notification from the God-level Food Delivery System rang out in Zhang Yang’s mind.

Unfortunately, Zhang Yang, who had completely passed out, did not hear this notification.

Otherwise, he might have gone completely insane, or even sought to perish together with the Food Delivery System.
