I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

107: Chapter 107 The First Protagonist to Be Sent Away by the SystemIntimidated by Zhang Yang and staring into his murderous gaze, the little girl became even more terrified; not only did she not stop crying, but she began to wail even louder, with no sign of stopping.

”You are courting death!”

Zhang Yang, driven by desperation and rage, completely disregarded the fact that the little girl in front of him was only seven or eight years old, swinging his hand and striking her fiercely.

A mere little girl could not withstand such force; she was knocked unconscious by the slap, her life hanging in the balance.

Zhang Yang had neither the heart nor the energy to care about the life or death of Zhang Qian and her daughter.

The events that had transpired over these past few days had left him mentally and physically exhausted.

His mother had been schemed against by Chu Yuan and beaten to death by a mob.

His only close friend, Cao Shuwen, had his entire family wiped out by his classmate, Wang Hao.

Returning home, he had expected to find comfort from this woman, but instead, he was met with betrayal.

Everyone in this world was targeting him; there was not a single person he could trust.

Just at that moment, an untimely voice rang out in Zhang Yang’s mind.

”A friendly reminder to the host: due to the excessive number of negative reviews received recently, this system has deducted twenty years of your lifespan.”

”If you fail to receive ten positive reviews within three days, or if you receive another negative review, this system will take mandatory measures to eliminate the host.”

What?

”You dog of a system, explain to me on what grounds you deducted twenty years of my lifespan! This is my life, what right do you have to deduct it?”

That was a full twenty years of life—how many twenty-year periods does a person even have? Yet, it had been ruthlessly swallowed by this dog of a system.

Hatred boiled in Zhang Yang’s heart; he wished he could strangle the system to death.

”You still want five-star reviews? Let me tell you, I, Zhang Yang, will never deliver food again in this lifetime. Whoever wants to go can go; let’s see what you can do to me.”

Zhang Yang vowed viciously that even if they killed him, he would never be a stifled food delivery worker again.

”Ding! A friendly reminder to the host once again: if the host stops delivering food, it is of no use to this system. This system will have no choice but to immediately take mandatory measures to eliminate the host.”

The God-level Food Delivery System did not indulge Zhang Yang at all; following its preset instructions, it issued a personal threat.

”Eliminate me? You want to send me away?”

”You dog of a system, when others possess a system, they marry beautiful, wealthy women and reach the pinnacle of their lives.”

”After I obtained you, I’ve faced endless misfortune. Being humiliated by others is one thing, but you, this dog of a system, even deducted twenty years of my life, and now you actually want to eliminate me.”

”Don’t you want to eliminate me? Come on then, destroy me! Let’s go down together.”

The system’s ”kicking him while he was down” became the final straw that broke Zhang Yang.

Completely frantic, Zhang Yang roared and screamed like a madman, smashing the tables and chairs in the room to pieces.

”Ding! Detected that the host strongly requests elimination. This system will comply with the host’s will and initiate the self-destruction sequence.”

”Ding! Self-destruction sequence successfully initiated.”

”What? Are you really going to self-destruct?”

”No... don’t!”

”System, please spare me. I won’t dare to disobey you again. I’ll go deliver food right now and get those five-star reviews. Please, you must not self-destruct.”

Hearing that the system was serious and truly intended to take him away, Zhang Yang panicked completely.

Although everything was going wrong, his reputation was ruined, and he had been swindled out of twenty years of his life by the system, he still preferred to live even in misery; Zhang Yang did not want to die young and be sent away by the system just like that.

Unfortunately, this low-level system operated entirely according to its programmed settings, so Zhang Yang’s pleas were like playing the lute to a cow.

Zhang Yang only heard the system’s prompt echo in his mind once again:

”System self-destruction countdown...”

”3!”

”2!”

”1!”

”System self-destruction successful.”

With a deafening boom, the entire floor shook.

When the police arrived at the scene, the entire room had been devastated by the explosion, with severed limbs scattered all around.

Officer Lin Wanzhu, wearing a bulletproof vest and a gas mask, rushed over in a hurry.

She had originally been leading a team investigating the case of Wang Hao’s murder when she learned that an explosion had occurred at this residential complex, resulting in casualties.

As the captain of the criminal police squad, she naturally had to come to investigate the situation.

”What is the situation at the scene? How many people are injured?”

While directing the maintenance of order at the scene, Officer Lin Wanzhu did not forget to keep an eye on the situation inside.

”Reporting to the captain: there are no survivors inside. The bodies have been blown to pieces, leaving nothing behind.”

”Preliminary assessment suggests there were two adults and one child. We will have to wait for the results of the on-site investigation for specific details.”

”Damn it, who is so ruthless that they wouldn’t even spare a child?”

Upon hearing that a child had also been blown to pieces, Officer Lin Wanzhu clenched her fists and cursed in indignation.

”This case is not that simple; it is very likely a premeditated serial murder case.”

An ordinary-looking man in a police uniform suddenly walked up to Officer Lin Wanzhu and began to analyze the situation.

”Director Jiang, you’re here.”

Seeing the man arrive, Officer Lin Wanzhu respectfully saluted him.

Because the man was none other than Jiang Chen, the newly appointed Executive Deputy Director of the Shanghai Police Station.

Coming from an ordinary small mountain village and only in his thirties, he had reached the position of Executive Deputy Director of the Shanghai Police Station and was a legend in the entire Long Kingdom police force.

Not only did he possess great courage and martial prowess, but he was also meticulous, earning him the title of ”Divine Detective.”

In just one year, he had solved twenty or thirty major cold cases. Even a serial murder case from twenty years ago that had no leads was solved by Jiang Chen after he peeled back the layers of the mystery.

Because of this, Jiang Chen was named one of the Top Ten Rising Stars of the Long Kingdom police force.

Furthermore, because he solved that headless murder case from twenty years ago, he became famous throughout the world and was promoted exceptionally, being transferred to Shanghai a month ago to serve as Deputy Director.

”Wanzhu, our relationship doesn’t need to be so distant.”

Jiang Chen smiled faintly, his gaze revealing a hint of tenderness as he looked at Officer Lin Wanzhu.

Jiang Chen did not shy away from his feelings for Officer Lin Wanzhu at all; in fact, it was something known to everyone in the entire Shanghai Police Station.

Unfortunately, the king has dreams, but the goddess has no heart.

Officer Lin Wanzhu was not interested in this superior at all; she had no interest in him, feeling only respect for his abilities and investigative methods.

Facing his tender offensive, Officer Lin Wanzhu frowned and retorted bluntly: ”Director Jiang, this is working hours. Please mind your position; you may address me by my title.”

”Alright, alright, that is my fault.”

”Let’s continue analyzing this case.”

Regarding Officer Lin Wanzhu’s attitude, Jiang Chen was not deterred; instead, it only added to his interest.

The harder a woman was to conquer, the more interested Jiang Chen became. The sense of achievement and conquest after conquering her would be all the greater.
