Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5096 A Strange Reaction?

Epsila was a Soulforge Elevation Resonance Pill, a pill that is capable of raising oneʼs soul prowess and possesses similar effects of effectively raising the class of the sigil, as well as allowing one to store more soul force. Previously, she had been a Supreme Ebbing Sigil Pill, after all, so transplanting her consciousness to the new Soulforge Elevation Pill had become possible, although in the realm of probability, it was even less than one percent of success.

Hence, Epsila was a very special existence.

Even at her Level Nine Empyrean Stage cultivation, she was able to raise Davisʼs soul prowess ever so lightly. This was due to Davis not accepting her pill essence bestowal for a long time. Otherwise, it would be saturated and not be of help to him.

Regardless, Davis knew that if she could even help him, the aid she gave to Reaper Soul Legion and the others was extremely high.

The soul was always difficult to train. If it werenʼt for Epsila, most would be like the people he impersonated, having soul cultivation but lacking in soul prowess, or rather the ability to use the soul as he did, having greater perception and better innate defense. This would be true regardless of whether he had a reincarnation soul or not, since he had always been number one in soul cultivation other than Myria until he surpassed her.

His teachings had been passed down to the Reaper Soul Legion in his free time during the ten-year Covenant period, his wives and children, so with Epsila here, he wasnʼt worried that they would lack similar capability.

Nonetheless, Epsilaʼs specialty didnʼt end with her pill essence, granting an enormous increase in soul prowess.

She herself was an Exalted-Tier Spirit, capable of cultivation with a fleshly body similar to what spirits have. Her soul force was powerful. As a Level Nine Empyrean, she was comparable to a Level One Exalt, which meant her prowess was ten levels higher. She didnʼt have any particular Law that she is innate in, but she could learn. However, her neutral pill essence is what allowed her to increase everyoneʼs soul force regardless of their nature.

In essence, she was no different than heaven and earth energy specialized for the soul.

She was the manifestation of heaven and earth energy, like how Calypsea was the manifestation of apocalypse flames. However, it wasnʼt that literal on her part, but still, she could play that role very well, although it would be a waste to use her like that. After all, her function was to increase soul prowess and not be a reserve energy used to recharge oneʼs soul force.

But now that he had gotten to this point, Davis felt he might as well use her big capacity to siphon energy from the Ethereal Lumina Tree.

The Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill she consumed made sure that her energy reserves were vast as the sea for her cultivation base, making her energy capacity comparable to High-Level Exalts. Because of this, she was able to condense all this energy and convert it into pill essence faster and denser than before, allowing many in the Davis Family to gain benefits.

Back then, Epsila had said to him she felt a strange sensation of being able to control her Will. He hadnʼt thought much of it back then, but now, as he became more proficient in the realm of Will, he paid more attention to it, so when Epsila screamed in surprise, he quickly appeared by her side to guard her.

”Whatʼs wrong?”

He surged forth with his Will, startling Epsila again.

Epsila turned to look at Davis with a surprised look, ”I donʼt know. I suddenly felt ticklish.”

”Ticklish?”

Davis raised one of his brows. He cast a look at the roots stretching out like veins by the side, but didnʼt find anything strange. Then his gaze fell on Fairy Divinacia, who continued to absorb, so he felt like she couldnʼt be the culprit either. Even if she was just standing there, he didnʼt think she was the type to play pranks on a little spirit.

In fact, it was Epsila who was the type to play pranks.

However, he didnʼt think she would react like this just for fun.

In that case, he guessed it was a matter of someoneʼs Will brushing past another.

ʼIs it a friendly gesture or a warning…?ʼ Davis began to ponder.

After a few seconds, he patted Epsilaʼs head with his finger softly since she was still in her tiny form.

”The Ethereal Lumina Tree should also have a Will, considering it is a Tree Lifeform, but because it is a Realm Tree, it wouldnʼt be able to manifest itself even if it had a spirit. The difficulty is not only overbearing but also balance-breaking. But still, itʼs possible that it might try to communicate with a unique existence like you using its Will. Look, even Fairy Divinacia hadnʼt felt anything strange other than feeling honored and blessed to be here. But you- your Will shouldʼve intruded on its, causing it to react. If it feels like a warning, then step back. Thereʼs no need to force it.”

Davis slowly and sincerely advised Epsila, ”Your safety comes first.”

”Mhm, I understand.

Epsila cutely nodded. She didnʼt like to fight either.

Her initial reaction to fights were- flee! She began to absorb heaven and earth energy, even using Fairy Divinaciaʼs reverse seedʼs absorption force to bathe and easily absorb the flowing heaven and earth energy with little to no effort.

ʼThis naughty spirit…ʼ

Davis had the urge to laugh at her laziness. However, he didnʼt say much since this was also a method to stay hidden from whatever made her tickle.

He didnʼt disturb them and left the place.

He wasnʼt worried that anything would happen to them since Fairy Divinacia was a near-layer limit expert. Considering her true form was a massive tree, even Venerable Knights would be hard-pressed to defeat her unless they could find her weakness.
