Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5066 Leaving The Premises

”Where are we going?”

A group of people was traversing the streets, taking the center without regard for the vehicular traffic passing by. In fact, if the carriages or any other transportation constructs saw them, they would have to swerve and move around them or take another path altogether.

In front of the group was a handsome fatty.

He walked vigorously, the fat on his body quivering non-stop as though they were working overtime. Following him were a group of powerful experts who didnʼt seem like his subordinates as they maintained a distance and kept a refined outlook.

Nevertheless, his subordinates from the Handsome Giant Consortium were also there.

It was none other than the handsome fatty Davis had met when entering the Eighth Bastion City.

The handsome fatty turned to look at the group of people he was traveling with and said in a humorous tone.

”Yesterday, there was a mysterious group I met outside the city gates. I helped them settle down here, but I suspect they belong to an ancient hidden power.”

One of the experts behind him with red hair raised his brows, his lips curling mockingly.

”Like the Hayden Family that was hunted down to extermination and barely survived by locking themselves down in a mini-realm and only dared to reappear now?”

”Haha, the Hayden Family.” Another fat person, but not fatter than handsome fatty, smashed his stomach and laughed, ”I heard their Young Mistress was snatched as soon as they entered the city. Poor things. They could only endure the humiliation and enter the city to carve a path out for themselves in some corner.”

The handsome fatty shook his head, ”Unlike the fallen Hayden Family, I think this hidden power retains its strength.”

”If you say so.” The others behind didnʼt seem that interested.

The handsome fatty didnʼt bother about their disinterest and walked to the destination, enjoying the sight of the buildings and the maidens who ran away the moment they saw him.

”Handsome Fatty, I was waiting for you.”

”…?”

Abruptly, a voice made him look up as he neared the gates of the mansion he was headed to.

”You-”

The handsome fatty blinked at this white-haired, black-robed young man. He didnʼt wear a cloak or a hood, but appeared to be in some kind of sect attire that had the word ʼDragonʼ imprinted on it. He saw the young man jump down and flick his long white hair while still wearing a mask, but his body language was clearly ostentatious, as though he looked down on them. The young man then cast a look at them, panning his gaze.

”All members of your Handsome Giant Consortium?”

”You are that man… I canʼt believe youʼre just an Empyrean…”

The handsome fatty was speechless. The other party made him feel like he had been facing an Exalt, so how come the other party turned out to be a Level Three Empyrean? Had he ever been wrong when sizing up people?

The experts behind the handsome fatty shot him an unamused glance, unable to believe they wasted time on this mysterious group by coming this far.

”Canʼt say really. I might just be the little twin, his son, or even his father.”

The white-haired man laughed as he threw his head slightly up. His shoulders shook, visibly amused.

”I guess so…”

The handsome fatty responded softly. He was just momentarily taken aback before he asked, ”Have you settled down? Need anything else? Ah, these are all experts who are part of my Handsome Giant Consortium, but theyʼre heads of their powers and can act independently for most things. I hope you can also join my consortium, but itʼs not a requirement for me to interact with you since we could already be considered brothers.”

The white-haired man shot a glance at the red-haired man, ”I recognize you. You are Hermit Blackflame Pillar, arenʼt you?”

”And you,” He turned to look at the other fatso in the group, ”You are that Grand Mountain Crusher. Both Level Six Primarchs have a significant battle prowess of two levels higher. Amazing.”

”…”

The red-haired man and the fatso looked away disinterestedly as though they were unwilling to talk with a mere Empyrean. Their lips curled in pride, but their gaze was still filled with disapproval and ridicule.

”Handsome fatty, what is this? Did you bring us here to waste our time?”

”…”

The handsome fatty smiled helplessly. He knew this person before him was playing the sheep somehow, even if he had no evidence to back it up. Perhaps he was wrong, but there was no way he would be wrong about the other Exalts who accompanied this person that day.

All of them levied considerable pressure against him.

In fact, if he couldnʼt get any gifts at that time, he was about to turn and leave.

Nonetheless, he didnʼt expose it and said smilingly.

”Donʼt belittle our little friend over here. He might grow up to be a powerful expert. Besides, he could be a supreme genius worthy of our attention.”

”Who needs a supreme genius in an apocalypse? Those are reserved for peaceful times.” The Grand Mountain Crusher said disapprovingly.

”Alright, alright.”

The handsome fatty tried to smoothen things over before he looked at the white-haired person again.

”Uhm, for now, what should we call you?”

The white-haired person thought for a moment and said.

”Name aside, my cultivator title is Heavenly Dragon.”

The handsome fatty turned speechless.

This title was just too audacious! Too domineering! Was he trying to get killed by heavenly lightning or the dragon clans?

The others behind him also had strange looks, wondering if this person was alright in his head.

ʼBro, you canʼt make up a title like this just because you want to hide your name…ʼ

The handsome fatty thought before saying, ”You mightʼve gone by that title back in your hidden pocket realm, but here, Iʼll just call you Dragon for your own safety.”

”But I really do have such a title. It could be even my name when translated from an old language.”

”What old language? The only language I know is the Sky Word Language. Letʼs use that, alright?”

The handsome fatty said impatiently with some care in his eyes.

He knew this white-haired person before him was the person he had met yesterday. Although this person acted calm yesterday and acted ostentatious today, there was little to no doubt about it in his mind. The fact that he recognized the two people behind him made this point true since the list he gave contained the names of these two influential experts.

In that case, it could be highly possible that the other party had a physique that caused them heavy mood swings or even a split personality change. He had seen such people before and even interacted with them.

”Alright,” The white-haired man sighed as he drove his hands through the sides of his hair, ”Everythingʼs fine. Iʼm just bored to death. Do you have anything fun to do while showing me around the city?”

”I was just about to ask you myself if you wanted to come with us. Letʼs go.”

The handsome fatty didnʼt stand on ceremony and gestured to Davis, both of them leaving the area along with the Handsome Giant Consortium.

From the balcony, Evelynn watched them leave.

After having breakfast and returning to the mansion, Davis helped alleviate the sour mood and reassured them that everything would be fine. After that, he spent time with Evelynn, chatting away endlessly before finally spotting his cue to go out.

By this time, it was afternoon.

She wished him well in his endeavor to infiltrate the ranks of the cityʼs forces in order to steal heaven and earth energy from the formation that arrests and diverts the dense energy from the Ethereal Lumina Tree.
