I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 636, The Central Market

Su Bai sat at his desk preparing new teaching materials, as during the snow season, those children had finished learning all that they were taught.

This was rather unexpected for him, because getting those children to sit quietly and study was truly difficult.

They either wanted to play here or cause trouble, and had no intention of studying properly at all.

But recently, they had been surprisingly well-behaved, all earnestly learning.

However, this was most likely related to the rewards given. As long as they completed all their homework and understood what was taught that day, they could receive food from the Yong’an Building.

When those children heard this, they instantly became much more obedient, completely different from their previous trouble making behaviour.

“Shaman, are you working on some new teaching materials again?” Yu Ying asked as she set down the tea in her hands.

Yu Ying had just gone to brew fruit tea, as there were still many fruits in the Tribe.

During the snow season, they had obtained many fruit seeds from the System, and had already planted grapes and oranges earlier.

With the daily application of his Growth Acceleration Skill, these fruits grew very quickly.

After applying Growth Acceleration Skill to them for more than ten consecutive days, the growth cycle of these fruits was greatly reduced.

Originally, the shortest growth cycle for these fruits was at least a year, but with the Growth Acceleration Skill, they very quickly ripened. Some plants only needed Growth Acceleration Skill applied once or twice, but because the growth cycle of fruits was particularly long, especially so for larger fruits like oranges and tangerines, they required several more applications.

“Yes, those children have been very enthusiastic about learning recently, so I’m taking this opportunity to prepare some teaching materials for them,” Su Bai said.

He felt that when those from other Tribes came, he would have less time to work on these things.

“Shaman, how has my teaching been recently? Are there any areas that need improvement?” Yu Ying asked nervously.

Since Yu Ying had taken on the role of teacher last time, she had been giving lessons to those children every day. Because she had already learned a lot of it in advance, teaching those children was just using what she had already learned. So teaching was not particularly difficult. She just needed to follow what she had learned before.

“You’ve done very well.” Su Bai praised. Although there was still room for improvement, encouragement was still necessary.

Moreover, Yu Ying was not a bad teacher, she was just a bit inexperienced because she was new to teaching.

However, the overall results were good, and those students were studying quite well.

Perhaps seeing that this time, the class was not taught by the Shaman, those children found learning more relaxed.

Previously, because when they saw him, they naturally felt a bit nervous and were more restrained in what they did.

“That’s good, I was worried I might make some mistakes.” Yu Ying breathed a sigh of relief.

She was very worried that her poor teaching might delay those children’s learning.

“Have Ah’Lan and the others come over?” Su Bai asked.

He had originally wanted Sha Lan to share her thoughts, but seeing that both their clothes were wet from sweat, he had told them to go back to their rooms to change first.

“They should be coming over soon.” Yu Ying replied, looking back towards the stairs.

*Step step step…*

Sha Lan came down from the third floor to the second floor with Yan Hua, saying, “Shaman, we’ve changed our clothes.”

“Great, after you finish training tomorrow, please help me with some things.” Su Bai instructed.

What he was planning was the matter of other Tribes coming to Flame Dragon Tribe. Their Tribe had to start preparing.

“Yes, we will definitely do what you ask of us well.” Sha Lan and the others immediately responded.

“To welcome the arrival of those from other Tribes, the most important thing is to transform our Tribe into a Market.” Su Bai said.

“Yes, and where should we start?” Yan Hua immediately straightened up, with the Spotted Deer Tribe appearing in her mind.

“We don’t need to set up stall areas outside the Tribe. We’ll directly establish a Central Market inside the Tribe, so they can all go to the market to trade.” Su Bai said word by word.

When he was planning the Tribe’s transformation, this Central Market was already in his mind.

There needed to be a dedicated place for people to trade goods, rather than setting up stalls everywhere like the Spotted Deer Tribe. That Market was not only difficult to manage, but also looked very irregular, and that could easily lead to problems.

“A Central Market? Shaman, what is a Central Market?” Sha Lan heard this unfamiliar term for the first time.

“Is this thing particularly big?” Yan Hua was only familiar with the word ‘central’.

“It means having everyone display their goods in a specific place, and then letting people from those Tribes go there to trade,” Su Bai explained.

With a Central Market, it would be easier to manage, and all items could be gathered and displayed together.

The exposure rate of those goods would also be higher. Some people might have initially only wanted to exchange for linen, but seeing ceramics, they might develop the urge to trade for some other items in the meantime.

The Central Market was actually a place to increase the frequency of trading. This way, when those powerful Large Tribes entered the Central Market, they would be able to easily see everything offered.

“You mean all our things need to be displayed in one place for trade?” Sha Lan understood immediately.

“I understand now. This way, we won’t need to display our goods all over the Tribe, and we can save a lot of space.” Yan Hua said.

“Exactly. This way, we can also save a lot of manpower.” Su Bai nodded.

Although the current Central Market did not have many things to display, this was just the beginning, was it not?

“Shaman, where should we establish the Central Market?” Sha Lan asked.

Sha Lan agreed with the idea, but looking around, she did not know where in the Tribe to establish it.

“Let’s establish it in the central area of the Tribe. This way, they can also see our Tribe while they move through the road.” Su Bai explained.

This way, those from other Tribes could see the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Many things in Flame Dragon Tribe, such as buildings, main roads, and street lamps, were all quite novel. They would definitely attract many people to stop and watch.

These novel items would also become topics of conversation after meals when those people returned to their respective Tribes after leaving the Flame Dragon Tribe.
