I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 631, Will Sleep for Several Days

Su Bai went back to the Yong’an Building. Today’s two ceremonies had taken quite a long time. Although he did not feel particularly tired, he still very much wanted to sit down and have a cup of tea.

Yu Ying helped Su Bai change out of those heavy and cumbersome clothes, asking. “Shaman, you must be exhausted.”

After Yu Ying finished speaking, she wanted to help relax his shoulders, neck and arms, because he had suddenly carried such heavy things on his body.

Moreover, the two ceremonies had taken quite a long time to perform, and most importantly, awakening was very draining on Shaman Power.

Although she did not understand Shaman Power very well, she had heard some things about it.

She knew that if a Shaman exhausted all of their Shaman Power, it meant that Shaman was not far from death.

Shaman Power could be said to be a Shaman’s Life Force, which was also why many Shamans would enter a state of exhaustion when casting consecutive Shaman Techniques.

Previously, the Old Shaman had used large amounts of Shaman Power in order to resist the Black Snake Tribe and help the people of the Flame Dragon Tribe escape. So the Old Shaman had been very exhausted, to the point of becoming ill and eventually needing to find a Successor.

Additionally, the people of the Tribe would more or less chat about these things, for instance when she was helping her own Uncle Cang Shi with some matters. Those in her Family would occasionally discuss these things, so Yu Ying had naturally heard some things.

“I am a bit tired, but overall, still fine. Not tired to the point of collapse.” Su Bai picked up a tea cup.

He naturally also knew about these matters, but his Shaman Power had been quite abundant recently.

Apart from making some Shaman Bone Tablets at night and casting Growth Acceleration Shaman Technique on the crops during the day, there had not been much else that required him to use his Shaman Power.

So recently he had accumulated quite a lot of Shaman Power. Of course, it was not that having accumulated more meant he had more to spare next time.

Rather, each person had a threshold, and when they reached that threshold, they would feel exhausted.

If they exceeded this threshold, it could very likely endanger their life. It was just that Su Bai’s Shaman Power had been continuously increasing. So, his own threshold would also gradually expand, no longer limited to what it was before.

Due to his inherent Physique and continuously obtaining many Skills from the System, his Shaman Power was much higher than ordinary Shamans.

“Shaman, are you really alright? Let me help you relax.” Yu Ying was still very worried. After all, conducting two Totem Awakening Ceremonies consecutively was no joke.

Moreover, the two awakenings had also consumed a very long time, and most importantly, this time the proportion of those that awakened was very high.

She believes that it was because the Shaman expended large amounts of Shaman Power that caused the result to be so good, which made her quite worried about the Shaman’s personal safety.

“I’m fine. No need to massage me. Let the maids do it instead, you should rest.” Su Bai said.

Today’s Totem Awakening Ceremony had also tired Yu Ying out, she looked exhausted.

“I previously saw the Old Shaman being very exhausted every time after conducting the Totem Awakening Ceremonies, sometimes sleeping for several days.” Yu Ying said in confusion.

Yu Ying saw that he was indeed in high spirits, just slightly tired. It did not seem like he was pretending. But if this was the case, it was too strange. Previously when she watched the Old Shaman, it was not like this.

“I am the Successor personally chosen by the Old Shaman, and I’ve been training recently. So, I won’t easily feel tired.” Su Bai made up a white lie. He could not possibly say that he had Transmigrated, and his Physique was better than anyone else.

“So that’s how it is. I was still worried you were too tired, I had already prepared for the next few days.” Yu Ying could not help but breathe out a sigh of relief.

Yu Ying had been worried that the Shaman would experience the same situation as the Old Shaman before, so she had prepared to arrange the upcoming matters.

This way the Shaman could rest properly. She had not expected that she was worrying too much.

“Oh? What did you prepare?” Su Bai asked curiously, not expecting that she would worry so much.

He had been completely unaware, but based on the memories in his mind, it seemed most Shamans of this era were like this.

Every time they conducted Totem Awakening Ceremonies, they would consume large amounts of Shaman Power, and the Shaman would also sleep for several days.

This was also when the Tribe needed to protect the Shaman, because many Tribes would choose to attack at this time.

Because the Shaman was already exhausted and resting, many Tribes would take this opportunity to attack other Tribes, occupy that Tribe as their own, and kill that Shaman in the process.

The Flame Dragon Tribe had originally prepared for this as well, but just now Yan Jiao had seen Su Bai’s condition was exceptionally good. So, his heart had also settled down. Even so, if the Shaman needed to sleep for several days, he wouldn’t need to worry too much.

The Flame Dragon Tribe’s weapons could now be said to be very advanced, and they knew how to use these weapons.

Combined with daily training, dealing with those foreign invading Tribes would be quite easy.

“I planned to boil more hot water every day, then help you wipe your body, feed you some wheat porridge to replenish your Strength, and then…” Yu Ying kept her head down, counting on her fingers.

These were matters she had worried about for a long time, and she had been concerned for several days without being able to sleep well.

“You silly girl. You’ve prepared so much but I’m afraid this will disappoint you.” Su Bai laughed heartily.

However, he felt touched, knowing that Yu Ying’s heart was entirely focused on him.

“No, no, no, Shaman, as long as you’re fine, that’s better than anything. Doing these things is what I should do.” Yu Ying shook her head without hesitation.

Yu Ying felt that as a Shaman Priestess, these matters were what she should worry about and do, otherwise she would not be qualified to be a Shaman Priestess.

“Go sleep. Look, your dark circles are already quite heavy.” Su Bai rubbed Yu Ying’s head.

“Shaman, I’m not tired. Let me cook you some wheat porridge, it will be easier on the stomach.” Yu Ying immediately said.

She did not want to rest so quickly. She wanted to look after the Shaman a bit more, in case something might happen.

“Then rest a bit first before going. I’m not hungry yet.” Su Bai said softly.

“Yes, let me brew you some tea.” Yu Ying said with a smile.
