I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 611, Getting Carried Away

Su Bai returned to the Yong’an Building, preparing to continue the Tribe’s development plan, as the eternal night would end in just one more day after today.

He stretched and sat on the sofa, asking, “Xiao Yu, what do you think is the most inconvenient thing about the Tribe right now?”

Since he wanted the Tribe to gradually develop, he needed to listen to what the Tribe’s people thought. Sometimes, although he was constantly thinking of ways and arranging various matters, there were always things he overlooked. Such was the curse of tunnel vision. So, it was always good to ask for others’ opinions.

“What’s the most inconvenient thing about the Tribe?” Yu Ying fell into thought, her pink fox tail swaying back and forth. Her pair of beautiful willow-leaf eyebrows furrowed together, her expression quite serious. After thinking for a long time, she still shook her head.

“Shaman, I can’t think of it. I think the Tribe is quite good now.” Yu Ying’s soft voice came out. She tilted her head with an innocent expression, feeling that the Tribe was already very, very good now, with nothing left to criticise.

“You think the Tribe is already very good now?” Su Bai somewhat knew he would get this answer.

He had just wanted to see if there might be a different answer, but in the end it was still the same answer.

However, this was understandable. Before he had arrived, the Tribe’s life was very typical of a Primitive Tribe.

When eating meat, they would eat it with the fur still on. Most of the clothes they wore were Animal Hides or leaves.

The Tribe’s lighting was done by lighting bonfires, and food was also very insufficient, often having meals without knowing when the next would come.

They even had to worry daily about being attacked by Ferocious Beasts, or being attacked by other Tribes and such.

In short, life was extremely harsh, but since he had arrived, the Tribe had become different.

Food, clothing, housing and transportation had all greatly improved. These were things they would not have had for a very long time to come. So, it was perfectly reasonable for Yu Ying to think the Tribe was great as it was now, as she was already extremely, extremely happy with the current state of things.

“Yes, I think there’s nothing inconvenient about the Tribe right now.” Yu Ying nodded very seriously.

“Alright, I understand,” Su Bai smiled and stood up, clapping his hands, then continued, “Then let’s go see Ah’Hua.”

He had originally wanted to go to the sentry post to have a look, wanting to know what it was like when Ferocious Beasts attacked.

As well as how the Tribe’s Warriors dealt with the Ferocious Beasts’ invasions. Although he had taught them a ton, drilled into them the basics, he really wanted to see it with his own eyes.

“Shaman, it’s too dangerous there. Ah’Hua will definitely not let you go.” Yu Ying was rather worried about his safety.

“It’s fine. Haven’t they already dealt with so many waves of strange Ferocious Beasts? They have the ability to cope with it.” Su Bai said calmly.

He felt that those Warriors could definitely handle it, and him going there would not cause any issue.

“Okay,” Yu Ying immediately took clothes to help the Shaman change.

*Clip-clop clip-clop…*

After the two had changed clothes, they left the Yong’an Building and took a carriage towards the Tribe’s main gate.

Half an hour later, the two arrived at the Tribe’s entrance and saw the Chieftain who was directing orders.

“Shaman, why have you come? It’s too dangerous here, quickly return to the Yong’an Building.” Yan Jiao immediately said.

Seeing the Shaman appear, he immediately became nervous. What if Ferocious Beasts invaded at this time? If they could not hold them off and the Ferocious Beasts charged straight in, wouldn’t the Shaman be in danger?

“It’s fine. You’ve already dealt with so many Ferocious Beasts, and you’re using the weapons very skilfully, so there won’t be any issues.” Su Bai said calmly.

He wanted the Tribe’s people to understand the words ‘calm and composed’. They should not get too anxious when encountering different situations. They should also look at the current circumstances. Right now, things were stable, so there was no problem with him coming over.

“Yes,” Yan Jiao analysed.

If it were not truly quite stable now, it would be hard for him to allow the Shaman near the wooden wall.

“How are the Warriors’ condition?” Su Bai looked up at the Warriors in the sentry post and asked.

“All very good. They’re all full of confidence and definitely won’t have any problems continuing to hold the line.” Yan Jiao guaranteed.

He could tell from the previous few waves that when those Warriors faced those Ferocious Beasts, they were all calm and composed. Even when those Chimera Ferocious Beasts came, who were larger and stronger, the Warriors were still calm.

It was just that the Warriors would show confusion, since they had never seen this type of Ferocious Beast before. It was just the natural feeling when facing the unknown.

As for panic or being flustered, these were impossible to appear thanks to all the training they had gone through. Without it, they probably really would not have been able to be so calm and composed.

“That’s good! As long as we safely get through the eternal night, let all the Warriors and Tribe members celebrate wildly for three days and three nights.” Su Bai heartily said.

After this battle to defend the Tribe, they must properly reward the Warriors.

Letting them celebrate wildly for three days and three nights, giving them large amounts of meat to eat would undoubtedly be the best reward.

“They will definitely be very happy. Shaman, we shouldn’t have any problems in this eternal night.” Yan Jiao also felt very confident.

He had never seen the Tribe so stable to this degree, being able to be certain with victory when facing those strange new Ferocious Beasts.

This was all thanks to their new weapons. Thus, Yan Jiao was confident that the Flame Dragon Tribe would not face any issues.

“Don’t become complacent. Apart from today, there’s still one more day.” Su Bai reminded.

He did not want them to become complacent so early. Sometimes, failure exists in arrogance and complacency.

Moreover, this was nothing yet. The eternal night was only half over, and nobody knew what would happen in the remaining half.

The Chimera Ferocious Beasts that had appeared was already a warning, that this year’s eternal night was very different.

Anything could happen. If they became carried away at this time, they could easily suffer a catastrophic disaster.

“Yes,” Yan Jiao also felt he had celebrated too early.

“Take me up to the sentry post to have a look. Let me personally face a wave of Ferocious Beasts and see how you deal with them.” Su Bai said word by word.

“Understood.” Yan Jiao nodded.
