Chapter 2295: Avyn’s Confusion

Vandir was excited about the potential of going to war against the Dragon Realm. Avyn, who had a grudge, was hesitating, not even willing to divulge her past openly. Even Baccara relented, not forcing Tang Shaoyang to complete their contract right away. The Skeleton was the only one excited to fight the Dragon Realm.

There was no need for Tang Shaoyang to guess why Vandir was excited. It was obvious that Lich wanted the dragon’s body for his next experiment.

”I don’t think I have heard anything about the souls you get from the Sacred Realm, and here you are, wanting a new subject for an experiment.”

[I made some progress, but as expected. Those souls are quite different from what I have experimented with before. They are living souls, and my soul experiments are coming from the souls of the dead. They are more delicate and fragile than I thought.]

That was right, Tang Shaoyang gave Vandir the demonic cultivator’s souls he trapped inside his Soul Palace along with the soulless bodies of those seven cultivators. He hadn’t heard anything from him about that.

”We can get a different dragon if you want to work on a dragon body.”

Tang Shaoyang made a suggestion. He didn’t mind giving Vandir more bodies for him to experiment with. He became stronger if Vandir grew stronger with all those weird experiments. No matter how weird it was, Vandir was one of his main forces.

[I can’t be satisfied just with a normal dragon. I want those Primal Dragons. I am not asking for Orve’s body, but Iandra or Ammor’s body is good enough.]

”Then you have to wait longer. Who knows, we might get them in eight months, no?”

In eight months, the God Realm Champion started. There was a chance the Dragon Realm would make a move against him there, or maybe the Nirvana Alliance and the God Order altogether. That was neutral ground; even the Administrator could not interfere.

The Administrator could not dispute the Dragon Realm if an Executive Administrator was killed in the event. Because killing each other was part of the event itself. He was not surprised if Ammor and Nirdarth joined the event just to kill him.

[Do you mean the God Realm Champion?] Vandir was quick to catch on.

”That’s the perfect place to execute me, no? I can’t escape, so they could corner me. The Administrator could not interfere, meaning Arion and Clementine, whom people assume my parents would not be able to help me.”

Of course, Tang Shaoyang had heard all kinds of rumors about him being the bastard of Arion and Clementine. There was no way he would miss such a rumor about himself. It sounded funny that he didn’t bother to clear it up.

[They indeed might try to kill you there...] Vandir’s voice sounded excited yet amused at the same time. [But that also applies to them. Just like how they think you can’t escape from them, they also could not escape from us!]

[But I don’t think they would want to kill you or directly get involved unless you make your move first against their descendants. We could tell that from how Nirdarth treated the Stygian Wither Clan. The Dragon Monarch also warned them about it. The chance they would attack you is small.]

Zara doubted the Dragon Guardian would be involved in this matter.

”They will make a move in that event, without a doubt,” Tang Shaoyang was confident in his prediction. ”They might not get involved directly, but they will send their descendants just to kill me.”

[That would make things less exciting, but I can settle for some dragon’s descendants. That would make it a little bit busier.] Vandir agreed with Tang Shaoyang’s assessment.

The Dragon Guardians were too arrogant to move themselves. They were still thinking that Tang Shaoyang was beneath them. The Dragon Guardians would not make it unless they believed Tang Shaoyang was on the same level as them.

”Enough about them. We will take care of it when the time comes,” Tang Shaoyang remembered that he was initially discussing Avyn’s condition. Vandir distracted him.

”So, are you okay, Avyn? Do you need to vent your emotions? We can always make a trip to the abandoned world, and you can go crazy there. If that helps reduce your anger or hatred.”

That was how he handled his anger: to vent it out against the monster he had to kill. It was not as satisfying as fulfilling the vengeance of her ancestor, but that would ease out the frustration.

[I...]

Avyn didn’t know what to do with this feeling. This was genuinely the first time she felt so much hatred swirling in her heart. The hatred would awaken her ancestor’s memories when the battle happened.

The total destruction of both sides. A lot of dragons died, along with humans and other races. The invasion of her home was a large-scale battle, but it was several factions against one.

The reason she was reluctant to mention any other accomplices or the mastermind behind the war was that it might happen to the Tang Empire. The war that her ancestors went through might be repeated again.

The conditions were too similar. A rising force that would become a major powerhouse in the God Realm. The force was led by a Spirit Contractor. On top, the leader had a pact with a dragon, the Primal Dragon. Moreover, her ancestor was also the wife of that Spirit Contractor.

There were so many similarities that she was afraid that history might repeat itself. That was why she kept it silent, not willing to divulge anything that involved the fall of her clan.

Avyn was fond of her new life, even if it meant she was still locked up in that isolated world. She didn’t mind because she could always appear when he was summoned. That was enough.

The memories were too real, as if she experienced it herself. She didn’t want that to happen to Earth, to the Tang Empire, to her man.
