Chapter 2253: The Plan With the Divine Church

Tang Shaoyang went back to his office with more reports in his hand. First, they solved the population issue for Bahmes. Their vassal in the God Realm, their neighbor in the God Realm, would occupy Bahmes.

After the Tang Empire defeated the Auriga Kingdom, Alger Balaban, the former commander, took the throne with the Tang Empire’s assistance. However, the Royal Faction managed to return to their own world and cut their connection to the God Realm. That was why the Uzaborge Kingdom was bestowed upon the Auriga Kingdom, giving them a new home.

Second, they were currently preparing the army for the Hell and Heaven Dimensional Tower. The Empire didn’t take the tower for themselves. They allowed their vassal to enter if they wanted to, but the empire reminded them of the risk, telling them that the empire might not be able to protect them inside the tower.

The factions that would compete in the Hell and Heaven Dimensional Tower would be on another level compared to the Ancient Ranked Dimensional Tower.

The preparation was going smoothly, picking their elite Tarrior to lead the climb. Zhang Mengyao, Alton, and Kang Xue would lead the climb. Aside from them, the empire had prepared another eighty God Ranks to join as well.

His former spirits, Zaneos, Zowen, and Rosalie, would be joining as well. Lu An would be accompanied by Viona and Feng Zhan. The Thousand Vows Pavilion, which had tasted the benefit of the System, also sent its disciples along with a few Grandmasters.

There should not be an issue for the first ten floors. Their goal was to retake what belonged to the Varomaver Kingdom and the Uzaborge Kingdom.

Tang Shaoyang was satisfied with the progress, ”I might join as well before going for another mission. Reserve one God Rank spot for me.”

The mission he talked about was clearing the abandoned world. It was about time for him to clear another world, gathering the bodies for more sacrifices, to upgrade his skeleton army, and also increase his spirit army.

He put aside the dimensional tower’s expedition progress with a nod. Then he read the third report, which he considered the most important of the three.

The report was the details of Dinael’s communication with her family, the ruler of the Divine Church, one of the seven factions in the Nirvana Alliance.

Dinael was the daughter of the Divine Church’s ruler. He captured her when they attacked Earth and agreed to a truce with the condition of holding her as a hostage.

Tang Shaoyang thought of using the Divine Church to fight the Nirvana Alliance, but he changed his mind. He just wanted the information about the other six factions in the Nirvana Alliance, promising to spare the Divine Church if they complied.

The report showed him the significant progress of their project. Dinael managed to persuade her family to side with the Tang Empire.

”Where is she right now? Is she available? It’s better to speak in person. I have a few questions for her as well.”

He looked up at Li Shuang. The latter nodded, ”She enjoyed her time in Divine Tower because of her affinity to Light Elemental Tower. She is actually a teacher in the academy for the Divine Tower.”

That was a surprise, not expecting that she would teach his people. Considering their stance, he was her enemy with his conflict with the Nirvana Alliance.

Dinael was a God Rank, and it didn’t take much time for her to go back to the Smart Base. She entered the office after knocking on the door twice and mentioning her name. She knew it was unnecessary since Origin could inform the Emperor of her arrival. But it was the right thing to do.

Deep inside, she was quite nervous because of how sensitive the topic was. It was not an exaggeration to say the conversation might decide her fate as well as her family.

She met the Emperor’s eyes and bowed her head. She knew that the Emperor didn’t really like the royal formality, but she still did the bare minimum, showing her respect to the strongest man in the empire.

During the duel for the War of Worlds, she was reminded of her fight against him. She was a God Rank, and she had a companion, Divine Dragon, Eol. Eol was killed, and she was captured.

Watching the Emperor kill the other God Ranks at ease was astonishing. She knew there was a gap even between the God Ranks. But the fight was like an unranked against a God Rank. The duel convinced her that siding with the Tang Empire might be the best option for the long-term benefit.

Even now, she could not fathom how strong the Emperor was. What will the Emperor become in ten years? The realization was quite terrifying even for her, with her experience of meeting the powerhouses in the God Realm.

On top, the Emperor was an Executive Administrator. It was a certainty that Tang Shaoyang would get stronger and stronger. She could see that the Emperor and the Tang Empire would become one of the most fearful powerhouses in the God Realm.

She sat across from the Emperor, didn’t know what to say at first, as Prime Minister Li Shuang broke the silence.

”His Majesty summoned you to inquire about your reports. He has a few questions for you.”

Knowing her husband, Li Shuang didn’t waste the unnecessary chit-chat.

”There’s a change of plan regarding the Divine Church’s involvement in my war. I am not asking for your people’s direct involvement. I just want their coordinates and a way to reach their worlds, all of them, one by one!”

Tang Shaoyang had an idea of using the Divine Church to fight the Nirvana Alliance. That was the original plan, but he changed his mind. He had a trust issue after the Daenelis Clan’s assassination attempt on him. They pretended to be on his side just to kill him or people close to him.

Dinael was surprised to hear it, and so was Li Shuang. Her husband told her nothing about the change of plan. She knew better than her husband and didn’t interrupt the conversation. He must have his reason, and she would wait until the conversation was over.

Dinael was confused. The Emperor insisted, forcing her to persuade her family. When he succeeded in persuading her family, he decided not to use the Divine Church. There must be something that she wasn’t aware of.

”I can bring it up to my family, and I believe they will be happy to assist you in that regard.”

She answered positively and carefully. That was her family’s original idea in helping the Tang Empire: giving the Emperor the coordinates of the other six factions. But she persuaded them to join the fight.

She was not finished, ”I don’t mean to doubt your plan or your decision, Your Majesty. However, may I know why the sudden change of mind?”

”I don’t trust the Divine Church and your family!”

Tang Shaoyang didn’t sugarcoat his words, telling her straight about his concern.

Dinael’s mouth gaped, wanting to say that her family could be trusted. But then her family decided to betray the Nirvana Alliance. What would stop them from betraying the Tang Empire during the war against the Nirvana Alliance? The chance that her family ”persuaded” was a farce was quite high as well.

She wanted to speak for her family, but realized that no matter what she said, she would not be able to convince the Emperor.

”I see...” That was all she could say in return.

The conversation continued for another hour. The Emperor was asking her about the report she wrote. But it went further, asking her about the Nirvana Alliance’s allies and so on.
