Chapter 2257: Doesn’t Know When to Give Up

Tang Shaoyang was surprised that Wise understood more than he expected. About him being the Executive Administrator and the authority that came with it. The dragon knew about the dwarves and his alchemy division. But that was not the end of it.

”Also asked your wife... Mistress Elinova. I want to know her skills, her recipes, and her ability to find the best ingredients. I will not only teach my people how to survive, how to fight, how to protect. I want them to enjoy life too. Food is one of them...”

Tang Shaoyang admired how the Wise seemed to care about his people, a good ruler, better than him by a mile. He admitted it in his heart that the Wise was a better ruler.

He was not shy to admit it because they both had different motives. Their inspiration in the Found Kingdom was totally different. He built his empire with a mind to build a safe haven for his family, his wives, and his children.

While he might not be a tyrant, he was not a magnanimous ruler. He would protect them as long as they followed his rule. He didn’t care whether they were satisfied or not under his leadership. Of course, he would not neglect his people. He would entrust to the people he trusted to govern the empire under his name.

It was totally different than Wise’s approach. He regarded the people as his kins, children to be guided, taken care of, and made happy. He would watch his people every day—taking notes of what they needed—and providing what they needed after careful consideration.

The dragon didn’t spoil his people, but was like a strict father. He would not spoon-feed them everything—showing them the path—the rest was in his children’s hands.

”I believe my soul and everything in it is in a great hand,” That was what he could say to the dragon.

The dragon took the compliment as a smug showing, ”I have been telling you since the first time we met.”

That was their goodbye as Tang Shaoyang exited his Soul Palace. The dragon had been telling him to trust it with the Soul Palace. It was not that he didn’t trust the dragon, but he was trying to find out what the dragon meant in his body.

He still could see and sense the dragon inside the dantian, swimming like a fish in the sea. It matured much quicker than his dragons, Wraths, and the hatchling.

He tried to understand the nature of the dragon, going through the codex, yet he found nothing about something this. He asked the keep-growing Thousand Vows Pavilion. They didn’t know anything about something like that.

They knew a Divine Constitution and other stuff, but not a creature that lived inside a dantian. Feng Zhang, who came from an ancient family, didn’t know anything. Tian Zhong, the former Sword Manor’s patriarch, also didn’t know anything about it.

Tang Shaoyang gave up a while back. Once, he asked Wise what he was, and the answer was simple, ”I am a dragon, the wisest dragon ever alive!”

Tang Shaoyang shook his head, getting back on his feet from the ground. It was almost time to clear another abandoned world. He was about to message Ira and Khaya to prepare for it until a notification rang in his head.

[Arnain issues a challenge against Earth for the War of Worlds!]

He paused for a moment, the gears in his head starting to move, counting since the last War of Worlds. It was about a year, maybe a little over a year, or maybe exactly one year.

Tang Shaoyang changed the recipient message, writing a different message to Feng Zhang, Lu An, and Viona. Three received the exact same message. Only then did he send a message to Ira and Khaya to arrange a mission to clear the abandoned world in three weeks.

TEID had fully absorbed the Feng Family’s information network. Lu An still held the Head of TEID, and Feng Zhan was appointed as the new Vice Head along with his wife, Viona.

The first challenge disturbed him, but he was calmer for the second challenge. He already had the names of those who were behind this. It was the same person, maybe more than one person, behind the scheme.

His guess hit the mark as TEID had found that Arnain was related to one of the Executive Administrators. It was a different name this, Ebbe Telines. He was loosely connected to the empire that ruled Arnain. Loosely because Arnain was his vassal’s vassal’s vassal.

From the information that TEID gathered, Arnain was smaller than the world, smaller than Earth, and Bahmes. It had a low population as well, less than a hundred million, and the numbers kept going down. The original number was around 1.5 billion people, but a massive migration hit the world exactly eight months ago.

The ruling force of Arnain, the Empire of Arnain, also had a change of throne. The successor was not related in any way to the former Royal Family. It was obvious that the world was sacrificed, and the weak also became part of the sacrifice.

Less than a hundred million had no way to migrate, leaving their fate to the people sent by Ebbe Telines to fight Tang Shaoyang. Or their fate was in his hand, or maybe the System’s hand. They were lucky if they were put in a peaceful prison, but if not, then it would lead to their doom.

The exact scenario a year ago was repeated. But this time the World Congress was held by the North Federation, yet it went exactly the same as the previous one. This time was different, though; the Tang Empire claimed the world for itself and didn’t plan to share it.

It faced great resistance from the other factions, but the Tang Empire cared. There was no negotiation, just a declaration that Arnain belonged to the Tang Empire. They didn’t intimidate the other factions; they didn’t explain, but the decision was made.

When an agreement could not be met, it came with a vote. Again, all small factions that still existed, and the majority of the medium factions voted for the Tang Empire, including the vassals; the Tang Empire won the vote by far.

The Tang Empire received eighty percent of the vote, so everything would be decided by the Tang Empire. It was the same method, same condition, and the same participants. The duel would be held five days after the World Congress was concluded.

On the same day, Earth received the same notification about the participants from Arnain. All five came from the same faction, but they were not part of the ruling faction of Arnain.
