Chapter 2287: A Clash

Tang Shaoyang’s figure blurred, appearing right in front of the two men. His sword flashed toward their neck. That was just a normal slash with no skill.

Nirdarth’s body turned into shadow as the sword pierced through. Meanwhile, Zonaras created an ice wall around him, but the sword pierced through the ice as his head flew up into the air and blood spurted out.

The body was still standing even without the head, and he didn’t hear the killing notification. It meant Zonaras was not dead yet.

He clutched his left hand into a fist as the black flame burst forth. He punched the headless body’s chest.

Swoosh!

The body disappeared, swallowed by the shadow from the ground. Then the headless body appeared at the other end of the village with Nirdarth. That was when the headless body regenerated a new head.

”Ah, right. Severing their heads didn’t kill them. I must destroy their hearts.”

He was disappointed when he managed to cut Zonaras’ head. It was too easy, and yeah, he expected more from the Dragon Guardian. The disappointment went away when he didn’t receive a notification. He remembered cutting the head was not enough to kill the dragon.

”Do you need their parts, Vandir? Are they worth something? It’s the body parts of a dragon, after all.”

Tang Shaoyang was mentioning the two lower torsos and one head. Only Vandir wanted to work on those body parts.

[Take them!]

The body parts disappeared into his inventory. It might look like he was looking away from the two dragons, but he had his Chaos Eyes on them all the time.

Nirdarth and Zonaras had become more cautious after their first exchange. Meanwhile, Krazon and the Elders were pale, and they didn’t know how to handle the situation. One of them was their lord, and the other one was the guest they invited, also an Executive Administrator.

Tang Shaoyang didn’t even look at them anymore. His attention was on the two Dragon Guardians. He didn’t even pay attention to the Stygian Wither Clan’s guards.

”Is that it? Are you not going to come at me anymore?” His voice echoed, clearly taunting the two dragons.

”I guess you two are a little bit smarter than just a beast, huh? You run when you meet someone stronger than you.”

Nirdarth could bear it, but not with Zonaras.

”I will make you regret humiliating me!”

Whoosh!

Zonaras released the cold aura in a wave in all directions. It froze everything, the village and outside. It even froze half of the Stygian Wither Clan’s people.

”I told you not to invite him!” Then an angry voice echoed. It was the voice of one of the Elders.

Tang Shaoyang didn’t remember the name of this elder, certainly not Kryndor, Eryndor, and Ignidarth. He merely glanced at the fire before looking at Zonaras. The look was the look of a dog barking at him and ignoring it.

He could not be bothered by this person when he had the Dragon Guardian in front of him. He was not going to waste his time on that Elder.

”Stygian Wither Clan’s Warrior! Why are you standing still? Capture the intruder! Attacking the Dragon Guardian is a capital crime that deserves a death penalty! Capture him! Kill him if he’s resisting!”

Tang Shaoyang looked down at the Elder, annoyed. He moved, appearing in front of the unknown Elder. He grabbed the Elder by the neck, using his Absolute Domination Energy on top.

The Elder tried to fight back, but he realized that he could not use his energy. That was when he felt it, the coldness spreading from his neck. Before he could tell what happened, his whole body was frozen.

Tang Shaoyang used Ethereal Frost, freezing the Elder, hanging it in the air like a statue. Then his figure appeared on top of the frozen Elder.

”I have gotten rid of the annoyance. Let’s continue...”

The Stygian Wither Clan’s people surrounded him, and three more Elders joined.

Tang Shaoyang snapped, looking at Elder Kryndor, whom he assumed held more authority than the other Elders in this clan.

”Is this your decision, Elder Kryndor?”

”It’s better for you to follow Lord Guardian, Sir. You don’t want to make an enemy of the Dragon Realm, Sir. Your status as the Executive Administrator means nothing in this realm. We can’t protect you even if we want to.”

Tang Shaoyang was about to say something until a figure appeared next to him. Zonaras took the distraction and delivered his fist toward the head. Little did he know that he never left his sight.

He tapped the hand with the back of his palm, redirecting the punch. The punch went past his cheek.

At the same time, his left palm was glowing in golden light. He opened the Heavenly Kun Peng Gate, manifesting the Kun Peng in his left palm. He executed the Heaven Shattering Palm, hitting Zonaras in the chest.

He could see Zonaras create an ice shield on his chest; the palm hit the ice and sent Zonaras flying. Zonaras bounced off the ground once before getting back on his feet once more. The ice shattered, and blood dripped from the corner of Zonaras’ mouth.

”Aren’t you embarrassed to launch a sneak attack? Is this how the Dragon Guardian fights?”

”I advise you to cease your offense, Sir Tang Shaoyang. This is not going to end well for you.” Elder Kryndor advised once more. His voice was calm, still gentle. It was as if a grandfather spoke to his grandchildren.

”Silence, Kryndor! I am here under your invitation, and I am not going to accept getting herded by your arrogant Dragon Guardian. If they are going to invite me to meet your Monarch, then he must treat me like a guest!”

Tang Shaoyang ignored Zonaras, jumped off the ice, and released his aura. The Elders took three steps back, and the Stygian Wither Clan’s warriors took ten steps back just from the aura.

”Don’t expect me to behave like you! I am asking you! Are you going to fight me or will you stay away? Make your decision!”

”Please remember, Sir. You can only return to the God Realm through our portal gate!” Kryndor remained firm. He was certainly not going to side with Tang Shaoyang to fight the Dragon Realm.

Not only would they not side with Tang Shaoyang, but they would side with the Dragon Guardian if Zonaras asked them to capture Tang Shaoyang. There was no need for him to consider his decision no matter how strong Tang Shaoyang was.

”I see... Then I am not going to hold back anymore, Kryndor. You have made the decision...”

Nirdarth showed up above Tang Shaoyang, and Zonaras came from behind him. Nirdarth released a gush of accursed shadow toward him, and hundreds of lances made of ice rained down on him from behind.

Tang Shaoyang’s figure turned ethereal. The gush of shadow and the lances made of ice passed through his body. His figure shot up toward the sky and materialized in the sky.

He raised his sword up and activated a skill, Azure Dragon Descent. A massive divine gate formed far above him and creaked open as two dragons perched on top of the gate. It was the Heavenly Azure Dragon and Golden Dragon.

While he activated the Azure Dragon Descent, Tang Shaoyang also used Nine Heavenly Gate, Heavenly Sword - Shimmer of Heaven. The sky split up as fifty meters of golden sword slowly descended from the split sky. It was not just one or two golden swords, but fifty of them.

The sky brightened with the gold radiance from the sword and the divine gate. Tang Shaoyang swung his sword down.

The two dragons roared, coiling together as they dove toward the Nirdarth and Zonaras. The golden swords buzzed, ringing through the sky as the fifty golden swords also came down after the dragons.

Zonaras and Nirdarth didn’t escape; they surprisingly stayed on the ground. The shadow covered the village as Zonaras created hundreds of layers of ice.

Those hundred layers of ice floors broke apart, disintegrated, and reached the layer of shadow. The swords and the dragons entered the shadow. It looked like the shadow swallowed the swords and the two coiling dragons, but the shadow also disintegrated, revealing twenty-four swords and the coiling dragons.

”ENOUGH!”

An angry voice echoed in the air as two more dragons appeared above the village. A white dragon and a blue dragon appeared. Both roared toward the incoming attack. With just roars, the two dragons managed to stop the swords, but the Azure Dragon Descent could not be stopped.

That seemed to catch the two dragons by surprise; they didn’t expect they would fail to stop the attack. That was when a figure in white and golden-clad appeared. The figure was a humanoid and raised his right hand toward the incoming coiled dragon.

It exploded upon contact and burned the figure’s sleeve and hand. The figure’s right arm charred from the contact, but he stopped the attack.
