Chapter 2291: The Past

”That’s still not a question, Iandra. That’s just a declaration that I will ignore. I don’t care if you will become the enemy, but I will kill the people who want me dead. If you are on the way, then I will get rid of you just like the others. Your declaration means nothing unless you are him!”

Tang Shaoyang pointed at Orve at the end, ”Even him, that only makes me hesitate. I will still get rid of the people who want me and my empire dead eventually, whether now or later. Whether it’s you, or the Dragon Realm, or even the Administrator. I will get rid of everyone who is a threat to me and my empire.”

Iandra locked her gaze on Tang Shaoyang, and she could feel his aura. She had the Dragon Sense that could detect the opposite party’s feelings and emotions. That Declaration was not a joke or a bluff.

”And don’t you dare to pretend you don’t know what your descendant is doing outside the Dragon Realm, Iandra. I will come for them. If you want to stop me from killing them, you can stop me now!”

”That’s enough! I will not let you both fight in front of me!” Orve could no longer stay quiet. He could also feel that Tang Shaoyang was serious, and Iandra was the nonsense-type. She might try to kill Tang Shaoyang here and now.

Zonaras and Nirdarth would join if Iandra decided to fight Tang Shaoyang. It would become a big mess. Because he could feel that they were being watched.

Orve could not tell who watched them, but he had a guess. The Administrator was currently watching them. The Administrator would not allow one of their Executive Administrators to get ganged up, even if it was in the Dragon Realm.

It would indeed become a big mess if they fought now. He had no choice but to intervene, and that would give the Administrator a reason to take part as well.

Everything would be a mess, and he didn’t want it. It would be the start of another war, an unending war that he had avoided. He was tired of war and no longer wanted to be involved in any of that.

That was the reason why he wanted to talk with Tang Shaoyang, the last Kankara’Xeo’s descendant. He heard a rumor about the Ice Dragon Spirit contracted with Tang Shaoyang.

A new player who recently entered the God Realm and became the Executive Administrator so quickly. The news was on fire in the God Realm, something he must pay attention to considering how much authority an Executive Administrator had.

It was a status that could shake the Dragon Realm. That was why he paid attention to the news more. He started to investigate what kind of person Tang Shaoyang was and his background. He wanted as many details as possible about this person.

That was when he found out about the man’s class, and the fact that he had an Ice Dragon Spirit. There was nothing that alarmed him until he received more information about this ice dragon. It was female, and her name was Avyn. Another thing to pay attention to was the fact that she was not just a normal Ice Dragon.

The investigation went further until he figured out that the dragon was actually not a spirit, but a living being. However, the System considered her a spirit since she was literally isolated from the outside world. She was no different than a spirit.

Orve figured out that Tang Shaoyang should know about Avyn’s situation and might try to find a way to free her. The only way for her to be freed was through him. Even the System could not help Tang Shaoyang in this case.

He knew it too well that the System would not directly interfere as long as he didn’t break the System’s rules and balance. What he did didn’t violate the System. But it was just a matter of time until Tang Shaoyang found the clue. That was why he wanted to talk with Tang Shaoyang and Avyn.

The talk was more a question for Tang Shaoyang and Avyn. He wanted to know what Avyn would do after being freed. If it was vengeance against the Dragon Realm, then he would not tell Tang Shaoyang how to free Avyn. He wanted peace, and he would not free a dangerous dragon with a grudge against the Dragon Realm.

On top of that, Avyn was contracted to an Executive Administrator. Both were problematic combinations that would plunge the Dragon Realm into chaos. That was what he wanted to talk about with Tang Shaoyang and Avyn. More importantly, he wanted to know more about Tang Shaoyang. Would he help Avyn with her vengeance or would he stop Avyn?

He wanted to use Avyn’s freedom as leverage for the peaceful solution because he was confident that no one could free Avyn but him.

However, Tang Shaoyang didn’t fall for his bait. He was surprised that the human respected Avyn’s voice more. That reminded him of his friend who chose his contractor over the Dragon Realm. The conflict he wanted to forget.

Now it had long passed. Orve realized how silly and stupid it was. His pride was crushed because his friend, a Dragon Guardian, chose to abandon his status to follow a human. That was what made him decide to join the Nirvana Alliance’s crusade against that Spirit Contractor.

It was in the past now. There was nothing he could do, just regret what remained. Even the almighty System couldn’t turn back time. That was why he wanted to avoid another fight between his friend’s descendant and the Dragon Realm.

He could see it was slowly forming: the possibility of revenge for the Kankara’Xeo’s clan, and he needed to stop that, without bloodshed if possible.

”That’s what your Monarch said, Iandra. What are you going to do now?” Tang Shaoyang didn’t stop provoking Iandra. He had this excited grin as he said that, obviously provoking Iandra.

It was an obvious provocation, but Iandra could not help but fall for it. Tang Shaoyang might be the first one who dared to mock her like this.

”That’s enough, Tang Shaoyang. Don’t change my mind and cut you off from the Dragon Realm. Just so you know, even your Executive Administrator friend would not be able to help you if you want to free her!”

That threat was effective against Tang Shaoyang. That might be the case because he could not really find any information about Avyn’s world. He stopped provoking the Dragon Guardians.

”Then I will take my leave if you don’t have more questions for me, though you never really asked me anything.”
