Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1071: Chapter 1061: The Most Difficult Task in the Fourth Calamity’s Life

The Fur Tribe utilizes static electricity to better master electromagnetic floating. Compared to other elemental skills, Electric-Type skills are more suited to the Fur Tribe, which, in turn, can fully utilize the power of Electric-Type abilities.

Ordinary members of the Fur Tribe use electromagnetic suspension more efficiently than other races. These two children, having inherited abilities from Zeraora, are even more exceptional.

After stowing away her diary, Setsuna tidied up the desk and headed outside, moving towards the direction of Ghost Island.

”You two should work harder, only by evolving into your final forms can you unleash Lord Arceus’s full potential.”

”But Lord Arceus says we’ve already made great progress.”

”That’s right, I heard Uncle Mandefish took ages to evolve back then. We’re already progressing quickly.”

In two years, Miaona and Wolf’s abilities evolved from Sprigatito and Litten into Floragato and Torracat. For ability users, this speed of evolution isn’t slow, but their comparison point is quite unique.

”Don’t compare with Mandefish, his evolution... how should I put it, it’s not about strength, but that opportunity. Though he himself can’t quite explain if that opportunity was Kojiro’s kick or the anger within.”

Being part of the same family, Mandefish shares more common topics with the couple, leading to greater mutual understanding.

”But Uncle Mandefish spends more time fighting outside.”

”We haven’t, maybe next time take us along for a mission. I’ve heard Zou is often harassed.”

The brother and sister share a strong sense of harmony, able to clearly express their thoughts with half a sentence each.

”Alright, next time let your dad take you. Experience what the cruelty of the world really means.”

The family talks about future plans as they move towards Ghost Island. Even though they can fly, they prefer to walk, like most people do. Even King and Shaina don’t choose to fly unless necessary.

Unlike some creatures that, lacking flying abilities, have no choice but to walk.

...

On Ghost Island, three Alcremie are playing flying chess together; they belong to Jack, Maria, and Yamato. When young, they always lived together, but as their owners grew, their reunion times decreased.

Maria and Yamato’s Alcremie mostly stay together, but Jack’s Alcremie often accompanies him on outings. Especially in the past two years, Jack has been out fighting often to train himself, leaving even less time for them together.

This is Alcremie’s own little game; the board is made of cream, and the pieces are sugar decorations from their bodies. As they play, they consume those pieces made of cookies and berries.

Right now, Jack’s Alcremie is particularly happy, as its partner has completed its goal.

But for Jack, there’s a problem at hand.

Alcremie has gone to gather with others of its kind, leaving Jack without its external brain, urgently needing a plan on how to comfort a young girl.

”You hit my dad; you’re a bad guy.”

”We were just sparring, and I got hurt too...”

Actually, Jack’s promotion battle was long concluded; the banquet was delayed for Jack, Mandefish, and Setsuna to heal.

No matter what, Jack’s advancement is beneficial for the Hundred Beasts; they certainly can’t have all participants injured.

They fought fiercely before; disaster demands sheer strength, and enemies won’t hold back at critical moments, thus both Mandefish and Setsuna fought at full power.

In such conditions, injuries are inevitable, especially with Arceus nearby preventing accidents; when they engage in battle, they spare no effort, using all techniques except sit-ups.

Though the Holy Mountain’s springwater has excellent healing effects, they still took time to recover.

Miaona and Wolf have long adapted to Ghost Island’s daily life, with Yamato sometimes playing with bandages, believing sparring injuries are normal.

But Melo is different, she grew up on Mandefish’s island and is younger.

”I don’t care, you hit my dad.”

Now, she’s at the stage where she believes her dad is invincible. This battle drastically changed her view of Jack, so when seeing Jack again, she wants to investigate.

”I...”

He’s skilled in fighting, but comforting kids is his blind spot; if it were ordinary people, he wouldn’t care, but Melo is Mandefish’s daughter.

Back when Ghost Island was female-dominated, Jack’s relationship with Mandefish was close, and it’s unchanged even now, hence his dilemma.

Luckily, Alcremie noticing Jack’s predicament, hopped over, and once it climbed back onto Jack’s head, it suggested a plan.

”How about this, you hit me, call it avenging Mandefish bro, I won’t retaliate.”

So Jack lowered his head.

Mandefish hadn’t raised his daughter as a combat talent, but due to this world’s harshness towards the weak, she’s continuously trained physically, a standout among peers.

Yet even so, the size disparity between Melo and Jack is immense; she can’t touch his knee even if jumping.

Not only won’t he strike back, but Jack must control his body; otherwise, just his muscle reflex could harm Melo’s tiny hand.

”Are you serious? I practice karate with Dad every day.”

”Yes, go ahead.”

Seeing Melo’s stance, Jack mimicked seriousness. Though looking formal, Jack could easily see Melo learnt only the stance.

”Ha!”

When Mandefish came over, he caught sight of his daughter punching; Jack cooperated by collapsing, and the resultant shock wave due to his weight bounced Melo up.

Disregarding facts, Melo gained exaggerated life achievements, like when Olga beat Red Hair twice. Now at a young age, she’d defeated the newly-promoted fourth disaster.

”Daddy, I avenged you!”

Looking at his daughter’s excited expression, Mandefish didn’t know whether to laugh or cry; he hadn’t expected Jack to cooperate this much. After soothing his daughter briefly, he sent her to Rushaka, then sought Jack out again.

”Jack, you’ve really... oh wait, now I must call you big bro.”

”Stop joking, Mandefish bro, you’ll always be my big bro.”
