Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1084: Chapter 1073: You Think We’re Doing Charity?

The aftermath of Jack’s battles is significant; although it didn’t destroy the entire Hive Island, both Ginrummy and Sheepshead could sense the commotion from Jack’s fight.

As Jack’s main battleground quieted down, their fighting spirits grew even higher.

”Lord Jack has already dealt with the enemy! Move faster, don’t let Lord Jack look down on us!”

Neither Ginrummy nor Sheepshead considered the possibility of Jack being defeated.

The combat time was too short, making it impossible to directly overwhelm Jack within this duration. Even if there were Grand Admiral Level fighters on Hive Island, they couldn’t easily defeat a fully-strengthened Jack.

So the only reason the battle finished was that Jack had already won.

The most reckless individual among the Hundred Beasts is Ulti, but the most reckless group belongs to Jack’s team. With their leader’s battle already concluded, they also decided to accelerate their combat.

Like Jack, Sheepshead also performed a sliding tackle, but his attack method was vastly different from Jack’s; during the slide, Sheepshead’s body curled into a spherical shape.

He transformed into a mammoth ball with a diameter of several meters, and the exposed tusks were like the blades of a chariot, reaping the pirates in front of him with his high-speed Rollout.

The situation with Ginrummy was relatively more elegant. Her Human-Beast Form was not like Sheepshead’s mammoth man, but similar to Maria, having undergone Queen’s potion modifications, possessing her unique structure like Elephant Cavalry.

The reason for this was simple: she found the Human-Beast Form of the Eleph-Eleph Fruit too ugly.

Those who shared her viewpoint weren’t few, considering the Zoan Fruit has numerous varieties, and some Human-Beast Forms have indeed peculiar appearances. This is also the reason why Queen has a group of female fans within the Hundred Beasts Pirates.

His inventions prove useful in certain situations.

Pirates belonging to the Hundred Beasts took advantage of Jack’s victory, advancing continuously, converging toward Jack’s location.

But the pirates belonging to Hive Island thought differently; they had to consider what to do next.

”Boss Gust is dead....”

”What should we do? Shall we avenge our boss?”

”Revenge? What nonsense are you talking about? If you’re willing to provoke that monster, go ahead. Anyway, I’m running away.”

The call for revenge was not acknowledged; they came together due to Gust’s force threat. Had it not been for fear of his Drunk-Drunk Fruit ability, they’d have fled when Jack began the destruction.

But they were equally no match for Gust, and the fear of being ravaged by his Drunk-Drunk Fruit stopped them from fleeing.

Now Gust is dead, and they certainly wouldn’t fight against someone even Gust couldn’t handle.

Seeing that Jack had no intention of attacking them, they were all set to flee, choosing escape over revenge.

”Shiryu was right; this guy is not someone we can provoke. There are still many ships at Loki Port; everyone, until we meet again.”

Without Gust’s leadership, these pirates turned into a scattered mess; many even eyed the treasures left by Gust, which were hard-earned wealth over the years on this Sea.

Even though there are other pirate group leaders on this island apart from Gust, those people are also facing significant troubles now.

...

”Chaotic Space!”

In the southwest of Hive Island, Law’s ability again enveloped a small area, and the pirates within became chaotic under his attack.

”Damn it! Give me back my body!”

”Don’t move! What are you doing to my body?!”

”Stop touching me! Get your hands off! He’s not your Captain; I’m your Captain!!”

More than a dozen pirates were in disarray, behaving strangely with one another.

”Calm down! It’s that guy’s doing! Let’s deal with him first!”

Their bodies weren’t injured, but their personalities swapped; now their souls occupied others’ bodies.

People are only accustomed to their own bodies; this ability often proves highly effective.

A strong person using a weak person’s body can’t exert the original strength, and the weak can’t draw the true power within the strong person’s body.

It’s a handy tool for group battles, significantly weakening enemy forces. These pirates hadn’t grown strong enough to use Haki against the Op-Op Fruit’s ability, becoming chaotic under Law’s surprise attack.

”Hey chiefs, how does the new body feel? Uncomfortable? Well, there’s no way around it; this is a surgery not to be refused, ROOM!”

Surgical Space unfolded, and as Law swung Kikoku, several cube-shaped hearts materialized in his hand, which he promptly tossed into the bag behind him.

Judging by the bag’s swelling, he had already harvested numerous pirate hearts, and some were forced to fight for him under duress.

As for joint resistance...

They tried it before, but Law could crush their hearts before they reached him.

Although there were many of them, Law still had the time to destroy a portion of the hearts.

Nobody would willingly die for others, not desiring to sacrifice their lives for another’s freedom.

...

Law was harvesting Hive Island’s pirates, Jack was clearing the core area pirates, Drake was arranging the next actions with his team, and the Hundred Beasts mercenary squad reached the hostage location.

”Hey there Panda, culprit card... it must be that guy; you few, go exchange codes with him.”

By using the stylish word ”Queen,” they successfully pinpointed the rescue target, then pried open the cell chains. At first, they didn’t understand why these pirates were picking locks instead of breaking them, but their actions soon explained everything.

”Who let you out? Get back in there!”

”Aren’t you here to rescue us?”

”We’re Pirate Mercenaries; do you think this is free rescue? Those who pay are clients; you’re not our employers, thus not within the rescue range. You can get out, but it’ll cost five million Belly per person.

Just five million, and I can take all of you away.

Or you can choose to stay here and wait; perhaps someone else will come to rescue you.”

The developments are always intriguing; those imprisoned here didn’t expect the plot to unfold like this.

”Do we look like we have money... those Hive Island pirates already took everything valuable!”

”That doesn’t concern me, but let me remind you of one thing: Hive Island’s people are pirates, and we’re pirates too. Don’t think our rules allow you to talk to me with such attitude!”
