Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1069: Chapter 1060: Money Ability, One Year of Time and the Future Drought Disaster

With Cavendish’s debut, the Hundred Beasts Fruit Performance Department filled in the gap for idol-type male stars.

Centered around Tesoro and Stella, with Uta and Snubbull as the new generation, plus Cavendish and Cindry, their lineup was gradually becoming formidable. But in this world, their group was too normal.

No overly exaggerated physiques, no outrageous personas on display. Though there might be stag beetles and horses participating in the performances, compared to those weirdoes on the sea, they were a bit too normal.

As for comedians, it’s not that they didn’t have any. If Queen were not a wanted criminal, Tesoro could have arranged for him to debut at any moment. With Queen’s personality, he’d probably be immersed in it.

But such a thing wasn’t realistic, as Queen’s bounty was practically impossible to clear. At least in today’s World Government, it was impossible to be cleared.

If one day his bounty really disappears, the only possibility is that he has already been held captive by the World Government.

So when Tesoro heard there was a very special skeleton here, he decided to set the new team-building site here.

”Are the people here... a bit weird?”

Looking at the gaze of the bystanders, Cavendish only felt all uncomfortable.

”This doesn’t seem like you. Don’t you love the feeling of being in the spotlight the most?”

”This is different. I like the sensation of being watched by everyone, but this group of people feels like they’re watching monkeys in a zoo. Is it really okay to choose such a place for team-building, Mr. Tesoro?”

The Tianakena Kingdom isn’t considered wealthy. Although the Long-armed Race hasn’t completely closed itself off, they have little contact with the outside world. Combined with their racial traits, everyone’s arms have two elbow joints.

Though the Long-armed Race is considered an oddity in the eyes of ordinary people in the outside world, in this country, having only one elbow joint is the oddity.

The reason Tesoro attracted attention wasn’t due to their fame, but because of his arms with only one elbow joint. That’s why Cavendish felt that way.

”Team-building is just part of it, and there’s another purpose this time.”

”Mr. Tesoro, are you referring to the skeleton in that cage over there?”

Uta had already seen the area where the Long-armed Race was gathered, and right in the center was a huge cage, where the moving skeleton was being watched by them.

”Come on, baby! Bone to be wild!”

”Wild bones? That’s a pretty good style, just what we were missing. Is your next target rock style, Mr. Tesoro?”

”Sort of. I hadn’t heard him sing before. Seeing it like this, I really underestimated him. His value is higher than I expected.”

Tesoro’s musical sense wasn’t as good as Uta’s, but it was still world-class. Just a few short lyrics had given him an idea.

”He seems to be imprisoned.”

”Let’s watch and see what happens. If he’s really imprisoned, it’ll be easier to resolve.”

This singing skeleton was none other than Brook, who was sent flying by Kuma back in the day.

Kuma had sent him to the ”Poverty Kingdom” of Harahetania. As imagined with the title of poverty, the condition of this country was predictable. When Brook was sent down, he landed in the array of a ritual held by the locals.

Because he was only left with bones and hair, the locals mistook him for a Satan Demon and fulfilled his long-cherished desire to see underwear.

Later, he learned that rampant Long-armed Race bandits caused hardship on the island, and after witnessing a certain girl being kidnapped by one of these bandits, Brook, in gratitude to the locals, agreed to ’curse’ the Long-armed Race bandits and began composing a tune.

Brook then used music to inspire the locals’ fighting spirit and courage, enabling them to successfully subdue the Long-armed Race bandits.

After receiving Luffy’s message, he planned to release the Long-armed Race bandits, but ended up being stabbed by these bandits in return, ultimately becoming the exhibit here and starting his life of being watched.

...

”I mean, is this skeleton really that valuable? I still think I’m more attractive, and aren’t we just wasting time here?”

Tesoro didn’t act immediately; instead, he lay out a picnic mat a little further away, looking like he planned to camp out.

While picnicking, they listened to Brook’s performance.

”Don’t be so impatient. Your audiences are different, he won’t steal your popularity.”

”That’s not what I mean. Even in direct competition, I wouldn’t lose to a bag of bones! I just feel like we’re wasting time, might as well just snatch that dude away. It’s not like you guys are a legitimate enterprise.”

”Watch your words. We are a World Government-certified legal enterprise. How could we do such illegal things?”

”Ha-ha... do you even believe that yourselves?”

”Why wouldn’t we believe it? Our combined bounty is zero, and even your identity has been cleared.”

An enterprise secretly run by pirates achieving this level was something Cavendish couldn’t understand, nor could he understand Tesoro’s way of doing things.

”Even if you say that, aren’t those guys still bad people?”

Though he chose to debut ”due to no choice,” preferring it over continuing to mine, he now started enjoying this feeling. His sole issue was not adapting to Tesoro’s way of handling things.

”How do you know they’re not good people?”

”Nonsense! Would normal people put others in cages? Would they write ’Thief’ on their chests?!”
