Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1087: Chapter 1075: The Exploitation Plan and Sirfetch’d in the Gym_2

Although she was searching for the Plates, it was more like a journey through the nations.

The two of them had enough deterrent power, but they couldn’t guarantee they’d appear on time where they were needed. Luckily, the Hundred Beasts now had enough manpower to handle the situation within their territory.

King was currently on his way to suppress some pirates. After Whitebeard’s death, the Hundred Beasts had become the forefront force in the New World, drawing many eyes to them.

With the continuous influx of new pirates, the territory of the Hundred Beasts faced wave after wave of impact.

It wasn’t just King; both Zeraora and Shaina started carrying out similar tasks, and Misu, along with Tiger, was upholding the sect’s reputation. Almost everyone available had started their own actions.

Only Queen stuck to guarding the homeland in this environment, planning to avoid the limelight outside until it subsided.

Compared to the unrest on the sea outside, Wano Kuni was like a peaceful haven.

...

Tap.. tap.. tap..

A Velociraptor ran through the streets of Wano Kuni, with a local child riding on its back. These Velociraptors were not introduced by the Hundred Beasts but were native species of Wano Kuni.

The secluded Wano Kuni housed many magical creatures, making Velociraptors and Mountain God Wild Boars seem quite normal in comparison.

On their side hung two pouches filled with newspapers published by the Hundred Beasts. The person on their back was a paperboy, selling newspapers on the streets.

The Velociraptors were quite intelligent, already tamed by the people of Wano Kuni, and became even more compliant after the Hundred Beasts arrived.

Those who did not submit had long become history’s meals, with only the domesticated lineage continuing to this day.

”Your newspaper, half silver please.”

When the boy handed over the newspaper, the Velociraptor also raised the money box, only looking away after confirming the half Silver Coin was placed inside.

The value of half silver was equivalent to fifty Belly in the outside world, making it quite cheap for the current Wano Kuni.

”Hmm, outside is still so dangerous; it’s much better here.”

The newspaper’s content was simple; they took Morgans’ paper, reprinted it, and supplemented it with Wano Kuni-appropriate content before issuing it internally.

Attacks on merchant ships, assaults on islands, kidnappings—such news was countless on the sea. Morgans’ newspaper featured eye-catching malicious events.

Occasionally, even more shocking news, such as the downfall of a nation, would appear.

Everything needed comparison; the current quality of life in Wano Kuni was very advantageous, making the misfortune of the outside world further highlight the beauty within Wano Kuni.

Along with the main theme that never changed on the newspapers.

[The Enlightened King protects the safety of Wano Kuni; as long as the King remains, Wano Kuni will be a paradise.]

This saying had become a truth in Wano Kuni; even if some people didn’t believe it, reality left them speechless.

The person in charge of the newspapers did not modify the content. Reality was often more magical than stories; what happened outside required no embellishment, as it was already heart-stopping.

Take, for instance, an island that faced drought-induced crop failure, unable to deliver tribute to the BIG MOM Pirates and ultimately faced destruction. Compared to that, Wano Kuni, which only required some tax, was much more merciful.

Though some speeches regarding the Navy and promotions of the World Government were deleted, what Wano Kuni could understand of the outside was under the control of the Hundred Beasts, with a heavy filter that had already greatly shifted the national perception.

After browsing through some overseas happenings, the newspaper’s style shifted; here the newspaper was divided into several segments.

The first half talked about recent events on the sea, while the latter part was reserved for religious journals, with content entirely decided by members of the Arceus Sect.

The Velociraptor ran down the streets of the Flower Capital, with the number of newspapers in its pouches gradually decreasing. After selling out all the newspapers, the boy arrived at a Gym in the Flower Capital.

Skillfully tying the Velociraptor’s rein outside the door, the boy picked up his wooden sword and intended to enter the Gym.

”Isn’t that Yuichi? Did you sell all the newspapers today?”

”Yes, they’re all sold. Uncle Kentaro, are you here to study at the Gym?”

”No, no, I’m just sending my Yuta here to study. He’s different from me; maybe he can become a Samurai.”

As time passed, Kentaro, who once helped Miltank milk, was now a father, and his child was of learning age.

After fortunately finding the Onyudo Fruit, Kentaro won a large prize and then became the owner of a recycling station, now also a wealthy household.

But he didn’t want his child to follow his old path; a merchant was always a merchant, and just relying on business wouldn’t allow one to stand out. Kojiro was a rare exception over the years in Wano Kuni, such ’dragon-following’ achievements weren’t common.

In Wano Kuni, the Samurai class signified class mobility, and if one could train hard to become a Samurai and successfully be selected by the Shinsengumi, they wouldn’t just be ordinary civilians anymore.

Young Kentaro didn’t have this ability, so he wanted to pave the way for his son.

”By the way, how’s your father? I heard he accidentally broke his leg before.”

”He’s almost recovered; he’ll be able to work again in a few days.”

”That’s good. If not, buy some Miltank milk as well; it’s good for recovering bone strength.”

Kentaro had met Yuichi’s father a few times; as Kentaro planned to inquire about the details of the Gym, a bell sounded in his ear.

”Ah, training is starting; goodbye, Uncle Kentaro.”

Hearing the assembly bell, Yuichi bowed farewell and walked into the Gym first, while Kentaro waited a while before someone led him and his son to the admissions area.

On the way, he didn’t see students practicing but rather ducks engaged in duels.

”Quack-kaa!”

Two Galar Farfetch’d were standing on either side of the Gym, bowing under the referee’s command, and then began their duel by raising their leeks.

The heavy leeks became very agile in their hands. Clearly just leeks, yet Kentaro saw something like Sword Qi being swung from the Farfetch’d.

”That move was Kasaya Slash... and this one... Iaido without a Sword Scabbard?”

Kentaro didn’t have the keen eyesight to determine what the techniques were, only thinking they were impressive, while more Farfetch’d seemed to be waiting for something around them.

By the time Kentaro arrived, the Farfetch’d battle was already reaching its end. As the leek sliced through the air, its opponent was knocked to the ground. It was at this moment the dazzling white light enveloped the Farfetch’d’s body.

The seemingly cumbersome leek was also engulfed in the white light and split into two parts. When the light faded, the leeks in their hands had become a One-Handed Sword and Shield, with their brown feathers mostly turning white.

Yellow-beaked Duck Pokemon - Sirfetch’d, the evolved form of Galar Farfetch’d.

In the game, for a Farfetch’d to evolve into a Sirfetch’d was very simple, needing only to land three critical hits to complete the evolution.

But here, it was more difficult; landing a critical wasn’t just a matter of luck in a game but required diligent training.

When a Galar Farfetch’d had experienced hundreds of battles, and its skills were exceptionally strong, its Power of Evolution would naturally awaken, which is why the Farfetch’d gathered in the Gym.

Armed with leeks, they were also learning Sword Dao, enhancing their strength to eventually evolve today.
