Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1065: Chapter 1056: Entrusted Dreams and the Money-Making Power of Technical Talent

”Hmm, mixing these herbs with Berries and allowing Shuckle to ferment them results in a more potent medicinal liquid.”

In the laboratory of Ghost Island, Nightin, with the help of Shuckle, also created some new varieties of medicine and recorded the formulas and processes in detail.

Queen’s madness was not taken seriously; no one on Ghost Island believed he would have any issues.

In terms of valuing life, no one can surpass Queen, and only Yamato can rival his psychological resilience and stress tolerance. To other officers, Queen’s odd behavior is just his everyday routine. However, Nightin still prepared a calming potion.

She had already said her farewells, but after that, she received a temporary notice from her companions that the base had been discovered, and the meeting time was postponed, so she hasn’t left yet.

She was leaving because of a promise made with her companions years ago, but after nearly thirty years together, she also had feelings for the people here, so she wanted to do what she could before departing.

Nightin knew very well that the Hundred Beasts wouldn’t care about the combat power of an old lady like her, so the only thing useful was the knowledge she had in her mind.

Though due to a change in mind, she’s not as old as in the original timeline but rather maintains a middle-aged state similar to Shakky from the Shampodi Islands.

This is also a characteristic of this world, faith-driven. As long as the spirit within remains, strength, and appearance do not deteriorate significantly. But when one’s path diverges from the original dream, the body will age, and strength will become unstable.

”Auntie Nightin, are you leaving?”

”Yes, this time I am really leaving. Bingjack has sent new information. This is my summary of the prescriptions, and you can ask Queen about how to use them. He can figure out the dosage.

I’m really envious of your ability; after so many years, you still look so young.”

Looking at Olga at the door, Nightin sighed about her and Asie’s slow aging. After so many years, Olga still looked no older than eighteen, concealing the fact that she’s actually over two hundred years old.

”It’s actually a curse, isn’t it... But Auntie Nightin, are you really going to leave? There’s no force stronger than us on the Sea now. If you wanted to officially join, no one would oppose.”

”Olga, when you join a pirate crew, your dream is entrusted to the Captain, and the Captain’s goal becomes our new direction. Since Captain Wald is back... I must find him, wouldn’t you also be loyal to Mr. Kaidou?”

”Shall I escort you? The Sea is quite restless recently.”

”No need, Mr. Arceus lent me a Dragonite, so just traveling should be fine. Here’s my Radio Snail number, see you again if fate allows.”

Leaving the items exclusive to the Hundred Beasts in her room, Nightin picked up her luggage and left Ghost Island, gradually disappearing over the horizon accompanied by Dragonite’s wingbeats.

”Dad, stop looking. She’s already gone and you didn’t even see her off. Auntie Nightin asked where you’d gone earlier.”

”Ahem, some things are better left unseen...”

”After all these years, haven’t you realized it’s better to say what you mean? If you had explained back then, I wouldn’t have held a grudge against you all these years... Even now, silence won’t lead to results.”

”Alright, no matter what, I’m your father, so you don’t need to lecture me on these things. But now... Olga, come train me!”

”You haven’t fallen into some madness like Uncle Queen, have you...”

Looking at the suddenly awakened Asie, Olga was at a loss for words, seeing as her father’s combat ability was only slightly better than an average pirate grunt, still being classified as advanced cannon fodder at best.

”No, I’m serious. I think I can try to grasp some Haki.”

”You better be serious.”

Seeing Asie’s insistence, Olga didn’t refuse him, but Asie only managed to persist for 30 minutes.

”Can’t go on, my back... I better go and see if there’s some good equipment from old brother Queen...”

”You managed to last 30 minutes; it seems Dad isn’t without any progress at all. Let’s go, Elizabeth, time to head out and explore.”

Throwing down the wooden stick in her hand, Olga took her Elizabeth and left Ghost Island, starting her spontaneous hunt. The Sea is unstable now, even the slaver gangs have become more active.

Doflamingo gave up the population trade at the Shampodi Islands, but human trafficking did not disappear because of this. Other people soon took over, and it even became more excessive.

...

Sometime later, at Hive Island – Hachinosu, after being dropped off nearby by Dragonite, Nightin got a small boat and reached here.

This island holds a legendary status, being the biggest illegal site in the New World. Many years ago, this was Rocks’ territory, and after Rocks’ defeat at Divine Valley, Ochoku took over the island.

Latterly, Ochoku fell at the hands of Kaidou, and Hive Island once again became a land without a master, changing hands several times.

According to the original timeline, this would become Blackbeard’s territory, but Blackbeard has already been thoroughly defeated, so Hive Island has no proper owner, being jointly occupied by major pirates living in the gaps between Sea Emperors.

And here became the agreed meeting place for the Wald Pirates’ officers.

Old Bingjack, the blind fish-man and Giant Race hybrid Sebastian, Cube Fruit user Guyram, and the recently arrived Nightin, these are the remaining officers of the Wald Pirates.

”Everyone, it’s been almost 30 years, and we’re gathered again. It seems you’ve all fared quite well over the years.”

Holding the IV bottle in his hand, Bingjack stood on the table, as the strategist of the Wald Pirates, he was going to arrange the next plan.

”No doubt Wald has already escaped, but it seems he’s entangled with some trouble now. He will surely come to meet us.

Before that, we need a new pirate ship. Everyone must have had a hard time these years, probably not much savings, so...”

”Well, I do have some savings.”

Just as Bingjack was planning a scheme to earn money, Nightin interrupted.

”How much?”

”Well... about 1.5 billion Belly, these are gold cards from Du Feld, exchangeable on the Black Market...”

”One and a half billion?!!”

Nightin’s wealth left the other three officers stunned, which was despite her annual salary not having increased.

As she hadn’t officially joined, Nightin’s salary stayed at an annual 150 million.

Though the salary was high, compared to the profit she brought to the Hundred Beasts, this was just a small part.
