Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 1057: Chapter 1048: The Rebirth of Charizard Island, a Wild Kaidou Appears

While Drake was still taking detours, Hawkins had already entered the Hundred Beasts through special means and had garnered Queen’s favor.

It’s not that his abilities were particularly strong, but his fortune-telling ability matched Queen well, so he received some small gifts from Queen.

In terms of body techniques, Hawkins was indeed not a match for Drake, but the abilities of the Straw-Straw Fruit combined with what Queen gave him made Hawkins an extremely tough opponent against those who are not proficient in Haki.

From the moment Drake was ambushed by Hawkins with a Seastone Nail, his failure was already destined. If he could find a secluded spot, there might be a chance to remove the nail, but in battle, Hawkins didn’t give him the opportunity.

”Lord Scotch, the intruder has been defeated, what do you plan to do next?”

”Well done, I’ll report it truthfully to Lord Queen, you don’t need to worry about the next matters.”

Drake’s goal was half-achieved; he successfully entered Wano Kuni, but his identity upon entering was that of a prisoner.

This is a special treatment for Super Rookies from the Hundred Beasts. If troublesome Super Rookies stir up trouble, they will directly be given the opportunity to mine in the Udon Mine.

As for when they can come out... it depends on Kaidou’s mood.

When he remembers this, intending to recruit new members, the prisoners at Udon Mine might have their chance. However, currently, Kaidou is not on Ghost Island, and no one knows when he’ll return except for Kaidou.

...

While Super Rookies in the New World are striving for their futures, Yamato and Robin have already arrived at Charizard Island, conducting their research.

Accurately speaking, only Robin is conducting research, and Yamato is merely acting as a translator here.

The ability of humans and Pokemon to communicate is not perfect, except for Pokemon that are with humans day and night, it’s difficult to grasp the meanings of their words.

But Yamato is different, the Power of the Evergreen allows her to communicate with any Pokemon, including the Charizards on the island.

With Yamato’s assistance, Robin successfully reached the Dragon Cave on the island, seeing many newborn Charmanders and unhatched dragon eggs.

Without Yamato’s help, Robin could never have entered this area. Female Charizards are exceptionally aggressive when their offspring haven’t hatched, even male Charizards could get roughed up by them.

Even with Yamato leading the way, the Charizards cautiously watched Robin, occasionally sparks could be seen escaping from their mouths.

”How about it, I told you it was meaningful to wait for me those two weeks, you couldn’t have come here on your own.”

”Indeed, but are you really okay being so relaxed?”

”What’s not okay? Look, that egg over there is about to hatch.”

The two didn’t run around, they quietly watched from a corner. The Power of the Evergreen has its limits, letting them enter here is already the Charizards giving Yamato face. Under such circumstances, they naturally wouldn’t run around.

Besides the two of them, there was also a slightly timid little lizard.

Logically speaking, its attributes counter Charizards, but there are too many Charizards here. Water can put out fire, and fire can also evaporate water. If this group of Charizards gets really angry, its water might get evaporated directly.

If luck is bad, if there’s a Charizard with a water absorption ability among them, it would be even more unfortunate.

Just in case, it’s actively trying to minimize its presence, even activating invisibility mode.

A red patterned egg was enveloped in a white glow, and under the watchful eyes of several Charizards, a newly born Charmander entered this world. The blazing tail flame indicated its body was very healthy, and it soon began examining this mysterious world.

”The evolution and birth of Pokemon are always so magical, no matter how many times you see it, it never gets dull.”

”After all, it’s the life created by adoptive father, isn’t this very understandable?”

”Indeed, alright, let’s not disturb them any longer, let’s leave here.”

...

The two left the cave and arrived at the mountain top, looking at the Charizards flying in the sky, Robin took out a long scroll and, utilizing her ability, summoned several arms and began sketching.

Compared to recording images with a camera, sketching brings a completely different concept and helps her hone her abilities.

More than a dozen arms sketching different scenes simultaneously, this is much more complex than simple battle.

”Are you going to the Giant Country next?”

”Yes, I plan to go and see, the lifespan of giants can reach three hundred years, three times that of humans, they should have different studies on history and maybe new information can be discovered.”

”I see, I won’t go with you. Red Hair seems to have a good relationship over there, but he’s not really the combative type, and recently the sea has been restless, stay safe.”

”I have experience, you don’t have to worry about me, just consider yourself more, Lord Arceus wouldn’t arbitrarily warn you to be careful of acquaintances.”

Robin has been practicing multitasking, so while drawing, she continues chatting with Yamato.

Yamato indeed took that sentence to heart, just hasn’t had any leads.

Robin has some suspicions, but she dared not say directly. Since Arceus didn’t speak straightforwardly, it means he didn’t want to directly inform Yamato, in that case, she couldn’t give a direct answer either, only offering some hints.

”Is adoptive father being overly cautious, thinking there’s a traitor among my acquaintances?”

”Perhaps Lord Arceus means something else....”

”Something else...”

Yamato seemed to think of something, and in a slight panic, searched through her bag for a Life Card, seeing the Life Card’s violent twitching, a cloud of gloom suddenly appeared in her mind.

”Damn, I forgot him! That bastard dad is also an acquaintance! Robin, goodbye, I’m off.”

”Wait...”

The Life Card was Kaidou’s Life Card. Since Kaidou often went missing while drunk, to determine his state of being and find his whereabouts, the Hundred Beasts high command all had his Life Card.

The closer the target, the more violent the Life Card’s twitching, that degree just now was enough to indicate Kaidou was nearby.

Without saying another word, Yamato disappeared from Robin’s view.

”Running away like this... is actually more troublesome.”

Robin helplessly covered her face. If they stayed on Charizard Island, Kaidou might have considered the Charizard family on the island, controlling himself to avoid affecting their lives.

But Yamato chose to escape. If she can shake off Kaidou, it’s all good. If she can’t, and gets cornered in an open area, it means Kaidou could strike without any reservations.

Just as Robin anticipated, Yamato needed to leave to escape, but shortly after, Kaidou blocked her...
