Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 748: Chapter 747: Final Trap – G-Max Hydrosnipe

As a secret agent, Who’s-Who has some unusual habits, like having a pink sword scabbard full of girlish charm.

The oddities don’t stop there. When Who’s-Who draws his sword, even Sasaki’s charge slows down a bit.

”Are you kidding me?”

Who’s-Who is over three meters tall, a standard Admiral’s height, and the scabbard looks nearly two meters. However, when he draws the sword, the blade is actually shorter than the hilt.

He doesn’t have much interaction with Who’s-Who and hasn’t really fought alongside him. Seeing him always carrying that long sword, he thought it was some kind of hidden technique, but it turns out to be like a toy.

”Why don’t you try and find out? Fang Gun!”

Rokushiki is just the basic skill set; those who master it develop their own extended moves. Who’s-Who is very good at Finger Gun, integrating either the saber-toothed tiger’s fang or his dagger into it.

The seemingly tiny dagger unleashed a Flying Slash, drawing a semicircle in the air before slashing towards Sasaki’s back.

The head is a weak point for most creatures, but not for Bastiodon; not that they don’t have brains, but Bastiodon’s head defense is simply too strong.

Their Iron Defense, formidable like a city wall, gives Bastiodon its name. Breaking through it is no easy feat.

As an agent, Who’s-Who doesn’t resort to brute force unless necessary. If the wall can’t be smashed, then find a way to bypass it.

The penetration of the Fang Gun isn’t as good as his Finger Gun, but it’s more flexible. Sasaki shares not only Jack’s strengths but also his weaknesses.

But he also has a way to cope. Lacking agility, he decided to stop dodging. After another skirmish, Sasaki got back up, transforming into a Steel Dragon Man, a new weapon appearing in his palm.

Like Who’s-Who, his weapon is specially made, but instead of a short dagger like Who’s-Who’s, it’s a delicate Mechanical Spiral Blade.

Using the mechanism on his blade, he knocked away Who’s-Who’s weapon, and the fight returned to bare-fisted combat. The battle was very similar to the one between Jack and Elizabeth, with similar fighting styles, finding little difference between them.

Although they weren’t quite as entertaining, there was still a crowd eagerly watching their fight.

For example, in the Udon Mine.

Even those remaining in Wano Kuni could watch the situation there via Rotom Signal Broadcast. Not only the pirates staying on the main island, but even some prisoners in the mines had the right to watch the show.

For these prisoners, any program was better than working, offering a chance to relax.

This was also the Hundred Beasts’ psychological threat to these people, demonstrating the kind of opponents they would face through the cadres’ battles, showing them how ridiculous their actions were.

At this moment, the television screen here was broadcasting the battle between Sasaki and Who’s-Who. As to why it wasn’t showing others’ battles, you’d have to ask the Lairon holding the remote.

Babanuki and Daifugo were both out participating in ranking battles, and the head of the Udon Mine had temporarily been handed over to Lairon. Watching Sasaki and Who’s-Who on the screen, its face revealed a very human-like expression of satisfaction.

As if it felt that the little guy who practiced with it every day had finally grown up, its years of effort were not wasted.

Shh~!

A metal scraping sound like scratching glass rang out. With the interference of the metallic noise, Who’s-Who’s tiger claws gleamed with a metallic sheen. Who’s-Who slid in from below, striking Sasaki’s weak spot. Compared to the hard outer shell, this part was relatively more tender.

His steel claws had a better effect, but against Sasaki’s health bar, his strike didn’t achieve much. Sasaki endured the pain and pressed downwards, but his Body Slam only created a deep crater on the ground.

Even though he missed again, Sasaki wasn’t discouraged. Who’s-Who was more drained than he was; in terms of physique, he’d already won.

In the end, Who’s-Who couldn’t secure victory; instead, Sasaki won the battle of attrition, but Who’s-Who wasn’t quite convinced.

In terms of combat skills and experience, he was richer than Sasaki. In terms of attack accuracy, he exceeded Sasaki by far; Haki levels were nearly the same; their biggest gap was in abilities.

If he had the power of a Mythical Beast type, he certainly wouldn’t have lost to Sasaki. Because of this, Who’s-Who became more obsessed with obtaining the power granted by Arceus.

Their battle of attrition had ended, yet the fight between Jack and Elizabeth continued. By now, the urban battlefield had turned into a wasteland, with numerous buildings turned to rubble under Jack’s stamping. Elizabeth had very little room left to maneuver.

”Now, you can’t keep dodging, can you?”

Jack bore numerous scars, but they were just superficial wounds. Elizabeth’s attacks seemed ineffective against Jack’s defense. Even though she used the battlefield environment to continuously wear him down, Jack remained in good shape.

Elizabeth not only kept shifting her sniping position but also left numerous traps. Jack practically trampled over a minefield on his way through.

Clap, clap, clap.

A round of applause reached Jack’s ears, coming from Elizabeth.

”Not bad, very good. You’ve dealt with all my traps. If you can handle this last one, then you’ve won.”

The Elizabeth in front of Jack suddenly turned into a puddle of water. After fighting alongside Olga for so long, Elizabeth gained a better understanding of disguise and deception. This clone of hers, made with much effort, was meant to draw Jack’s attention.

Meanwhile, her real self had moved to the other end of the arena, undergoing a massive transformation.

Her tail behind her thickened considerably, coiling upwards into a sniping platform. Under her compression, water formed into a liquid sniper rifle.

Inteleon - Gigantamax state.

In this state, her sniping power and range were greatly improved. Water gathered at the muzzle, then aimed at Jack in the distance.

”G-Max Hydrosnipe.”

Before the words even finished, the bullet had already fired. The water stream tore through the air, accompanied by a massive sonic boom, finally hitting Jack’s body.

The compressed water exploded instantly, the resulting tidal wave engulfing Jack. It was Elizabeth’s strongest attack, and since finding Jack’s defense hard to penetrate, all her actions led up to this last blow as preparation.

If even this couldn’t break his defense, she’d resign herself to defeat.
