Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 706: Chapter 705: Devil Fruit Embodiment

The fur remained fluffy and orange-red, with flaxen mane covering its face. The eyes turned brown, and its body had black-orange stripes similar to those of a tiger.

If Growlithe was cute in its early stage, now it exuded a sense of majesty.

Arcanine has many legends in the world of Pokémon, the most classic being its tale of fighting alongside a certain general and ruling a nation together.

Because of so many legends, it is even called the ”Legendary Pokémon.”

The luxurious mane is mesmerizing, and in the history of the Pokémon world, Arcanine has many fans. It is also exceedingly fast-running Pokémon.

As a classic among Fire Type Pokémon, the blazing fire burning inside it is its energy, and its name comes from its speed.

According to legend, with full-speed running, Arcanine can even cover ten thousand miles in a day, running day and night without stopping, a thousand kilometers is no problem.

Of course, reality is not so exaggerated, legends always carry some degree of exaggeration.

Looking at the evolved little card, Kojiro sighed deeply, this was worlds apart from the little puppy it once was.

”Before you finish the battle, these Bisharp won’t obey your orders, but of course, they won’t cause trouble either. I personally suggest you finish the battle quickly.”

Having said everything, Shaina turned and left without any intention of staying. But when she departed, she noticed a few Tinkaton sneakily examining Kojiro’s mansion, seemingly plotting something.

With the addition of the Bisharp group, it was clear that Kojiro’s future life would not be peaceful, and the mansion might become bustling.

But inside the mansion, Kojiro was unaware of the happenings outside. At this moment, the little card had already transformed into a loyal dog, adapting to its new body while expressing its joy to Kojiro.

Its tongue left a lot of saliva on his face, and Kojiro used its chest mane as a towel.

”Looks like you’ll need to change your furniture; I didn’t expect your size to change this much.”

If an ordinary dog had undergone such a change, the whole kennel might need to be replaced. But with the little card, there was no need to change a doghouse the size of a villa; only the bedding would need to be upsized.

As for the original, it can only be given to the offspring of the little card.

”By the way, you’re not allowed to run around with those two little ones, understood?”

”Woof woof~”

”Even if they come looking for you, they can’t go too far, only stay nearby.”

The ”they” Kojiro referred to were Miaona and Wolf. Influenced by the Fur Race and Zeraora lineage, these two little ones got along well with other Pokémon, and those with Pokémon Abilities or lineage, whether human or beast.

Little card is a prime example; besides that, Misu’s Rapidash, the Corviknight and Altaria from Little Sky Island, the Gyarados and large Magikarp from the water, any creature that can serve as transportation has a familiar relationship with them.

As a result, Setsuna often had to round up the children. If not for timely creating Life Cards for them, Setsuna might not have been able to capture the two in time.

It was difficult to manage them in this regard, as these two little ones would always find opportunities to sneak away. Thus, Setsuna had to take another approach, advising others or Pokémon not to run around with them.

Kojiro instructed others to arrange accommodation for the Bisharp. Although Shaina advised him to act quickly, he did not plan to take immediate action. Meanwhile, on Ghost Island, a new experiment had begun.

After being transformed, Okuchi no Makami was given to Yamato, and Onyudo, after having its weaknesses removed, was given to Nereus. However, Yamata no Orochi had another arrangement.

As a legendary monster, Yamata no Orochi’s abilities were far from simple, but Kurozumi Orochi wasted the fruit’s capabilities. Besides having many lives, he failed to develop any abilities.

It was not even on par with ordinary Zoan types. An excellent Mythical Creature type had been turned into a punching bag, showcasing just a few of an Orochi’s eight ways of dying.

The abilities of Mythical Creature types have always seen broader applications, so the Yamato no Orochi Fruit underwent a new experiment by Arceus.

The content of the experiment was simple - to animate the Devil Fruit.

The most significant characteristic of Zoan types is that they have their own consciousness, with an animal soul existing inside the fruit. Arceus planned to utilize this aspect.

In the past, when transforming Pokémon, he often used animals, plants, steel, and other existing materials to reduce his consumption. The fruit’s already present abilities were frequently utilized, but this was a brand-new attempt.

By using the Devil Fruit itself as a carrier, a brand-new organism could emerge.

Thus, there would be no need for ability users, enabling the direct manifestation of the entity’s abilities, similar to the Seastone Pokémon, heralding a new form in the Pirate World.

Arceus had no use for the original ”demon” will. Influenced by Arceus’s powers, a new consciousness had taken over the Devil Fruit.

”Lord Arceus, is it over?”

As the sea’s most magical product, Queen had a certain curiosity about the Devil Fruit. When Shaina went to give Kojiro his reward, upon hearing Arceus’s plan, Queen stopped, wanting to see how Arceus would proceed.

However, the fruit now appeared unchanged, looking no different from the Yamato no Orochi Fruit before.

”Certainly not here. Let’s go, to the rooftop, and see this new result.”

This attempt was largely successful. The size was based on the fruit, as the Zoan type’s transformation size is influenced both by the host and the fruit type. The Dwarves Race and ordinary people’s expressiveness differ entirely.

There was no host now, so the size naturally followed Yamata no Orochi’s legend. Judging by the transformation effect from serpent, Yamata no Orochi wasn’t as enormous but still nearly 20 meters, comparable to large creatures of the Giant Beast Legion.

The room could accommodate it, but many things couldn’t be tried here, and it hadn’t been long since rebuilding completed. Arceus didn’t want to break it again.

.....

On Ghost Island’s rooftop training ground, the Yamata no Orochi Fruit lay on the surface. At this point, it began to take root and sprout like a seed in the right environment. The fruit gradually swelled into a sphere and started extending its limbs outward.

The main body was dark green, with purple markings on the chest and belly, covered with large areas of black. On the back, enormous black wings sprang forth.

There were three pairs in total, resembling neither bird feathers nor bat membrane wings, but were a very distinct new type of wing.

The strange wings carried the enormous body into the air, and then eight roars almost simultaneously echoed through the air...
