Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 746: Chapter 745: Steam Overload, Age Gap

The colossal drawback of Scizor in battle is its heat dissipation. Due to its dissipation capability issues, Scizor is not suited for prolonged battles, and its body has continuously evolved towards quick resolution strategies.

After the Central Martial Arts Tournament in the New World, Iscariot and Drake both acquired what they desired. She too obtained her own Mega Power and gradually mastered this strength.

Post-Mega, a black cross star appeared on her forehead. Her body became more angular, and her large pincers became more menacing.

However, upon closer inspection, one could see the hands wrapped in the shell at the joints of her pincers, which is the biggest difference between the Human-Beast Form and the Beast Form.

Pokemon Ability Users inherit some traits of Pokemon, and some weaknesses are unavoidable but not insurmountable. Babanuki used form transformation to perform an alternative cut shot to overcome bodily stiffness.

In this regard, Iscariot excelled further. She utilized the rapid increase in Scizor’s body temperature to develop her own Overdrive Mode.

As her temperature rises, the blood flow within her body accelerates, enabling her to unleash greater strength and speed for a short time. Hearing this, Luffy next door exclaimed her expertise. Yet her opponent was quite special, not an old Numberer but Who’s-Who.

He is regarded alongside Rob Lucci as a genius within CP9, not just as a solo admiration, but an acknowledgment of his prowess and talent. His performance in the original timeline illustrates he ranks first among the Flying Six, under the Three Disasters.

He is special because he is the only non-Divine Favorer to rely on his Saber-toothed Tiger abilities and a few skills gifted by Arceus to reach this position.

The reason he lacks abilities is simple: since joining, he has made no significant contributions, merely being a regular defector. His accumulated merits don’t even match some veterans, merely reaching the standard for a bestowed.

Yet looking at Iscariot before him, his expression was not relaxed. At 31 years old, he has undergone CP Organization’s special training since childhood, continuously fighting on the front lines.

But the young girl before him is only 18. Although she is diligent, he has 13 more years than her, and with these 13 years, he still couldn’t overwhelmingly defeat this youth.

If they were the same age, he might not be a match for Iscariot. The source of all this lies in the disparity of abilities granted by Arceus.

The complete capability of Scizor coupled with Mega Evolution is far stronger than a few skills.

”Concede; your body is nearing its limit, and even if it can be treated, there’s no need to suffer this pain, right?”

years were not lived in vain. In Who’s-Who’s eyes, Iscariot had already hit her limit, while his state was much better, and the outcome of this battle was already clear.

”It’s not over yet.”

Iscariot performed a slightly peculiar act, stopping the flutter of her insect wings, indicating she had shut down her heat dissipation system.

Without reducing her speed, she wielded her large pincers to swiftly approach Who’s-Who. However, his body was like a piece of paper, uniquely folding to evade Iscariot’s attack.

Rokushiki - Kami-e, as a defector of CP9, Who’s-Who mastered Rokushiki. Kami-e lacks the awareness Trait to perceive the opponent’s moves but dodges using the body’s muscular reflexes via airflow sensing.

Inheriting within the World Government and Navy, these techniques hold their significance. However, Who’s-Who realized that Iscariot’s movements were gradually accelerating, and her body started emitting waves of heat.

The dual pincers enveloped in white light, with chained slashing, Iscariot’s attacks relentlessly smashed towards Who’s-Who. Scizor’s pincers weren’t best at clamping but smashing.

”Crazy...”

He couldn’t quite understand. Why fight to such an extent for merely an internal ranking battle? Even though the top ten had different privileges, it was limited. With restricted abilities, there was no need to fight desperately.

Although puzzled by Iscariot’s actions, his movements did not stall. A low growl echoed from his throat, a screeching metallic friction sound emanated from Who’s-Who’s mouth.

Metal Sound, a Steel Type skill that disturbs opponents with grating sound waves, thereby affecting their special defense. Under the sound waves’ influence, Iscariot’s movements faltered slightly, and Who’s-Who took the opportunity to widen the gap.

”Fang Gun!”

An alternative advanced version of the Finger Gun, a seasoned CP Agent could launch Flying Finger Guns remotely. Who’s-Who used teeth as the method of attack.

Tooth blade flew towards Iscariot; Who’s-Who’s attack was extremely penetrating. Even with a metal shell, Scizor wasn’t the defensive type, and too many hits would indeed be unbearable.

The flying tooth blade pierced through the deck beneath her feet. The biggest difference between the arena and the ocean arena lies in the footing, with the ocean arena being rocky, while this mimics a ship’s deck.

With her footing destroyed, Who’s-Who kicked out two Rankyaku, then assumed a crouched stance.

”Tekkai·Kibasen!”

Utilizing Tekkai to increase his hardness, using teeth as blades, the entire body as a weapon for a special attack; its power was decent but required charge-up. After all, Tekkai’s side effect is restricted movement.

Except for a few, others could not move when using Tekkai, and Who’s-Who’s attack approach was merely resourceful.

Clang!

The result was not as Who’s-Who expected. Iscariot’s two pincers forcibly clamped onto his teeth, entering a grappling state.

Brute force wasn’t Iscariot’s forte, and she had never used such a style in previous battles. He was puzzled by her intention until he saw the luminescence brewing within the pincers, yet when attempting to retreat, it was too late.

Boom!

A Hyper Beam was unleashed at close range, the explosion encompassing both. She had reached her limit, this being her final strike. After the explosion, her body involuntarily reversed transformation, exhausting her strength and rendering her unconscious.

”Cough...cough...”

In the midst of the smoke, Who’s-Who stood up again. He won but wasn’t elated, mindful that his victory was solely due to his seniority. At 18, he wouldn’t have been a match for an 18-year-old Iscariot.

In the medical station, Who’s-Who and Iscariot underwent treatment simultaneously, their consciousness fully restored.

”So young, what drives you to push so hard?”

”A higher position, greater strength, the means to fulfill my ’justice’.”

”That’s quite a joke, hearing the term ’justice’ from a pirate’s mouth.”

Listening to Iscariot’s response, Who’s-Who was momentarily taken aback. Before defecting, he occasionally believed in that term.

All CP members undergo brainwashing, with instructors most frequently reiterating that they were guardians in the darkness, representing the world’s dark justice.

However, after a failed mission, imprisonment, and witnessing disappearing prison guards over a mentioned word, he stopped believing in that term.

”Pirates are not justice, but Lord Arceus can make it happen. I want a higher position then to gain more strength from Lord Arceus. When Lord Arceus collects all of his power, the world will see its purification.

This world... will no longer see anyone burned by fierce flames.”

At this point, Who’s-Who noticed a scar on Iscariot’s hand, seemingly caused by fireburn.
