Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 731: Chapter 730: What Are You Fighting Over? What You Say Doesn’t Matter

”Minatomo, you guys shouldn’t be so greedy. Why do you want to monopolize?”

”We never intended to monopolize. Those were just some young people speaking rashly. Wasn’t it you who started the fight first? Urashima, you’re being too much!”

Minatomo, a very short old man in appearance, but he is the most outstanding building craftsman in Wano Kuni, and the leader of the entire industry. Wano Kuni is already closed off and internally places a lot of importance on seniority and status.

If you offend Minatomo, unless under duress from powerful forces, ordinary people can forget about finding someone willing to help build houses.

Urashima, on the other hand, is a big guy, the Yokozuna of Wano Kuni. Yokozuna is the highest rank for sumo wrestlers, and in a sense, can be considered a lifetime honorary title. Urashima is the strongest among the Yokozuna of Wano Kuni and the leader of the sumo wrestlers.

With Urashima’s strength, Minatomo certainly can’t match him, but these two, despite their harsh tones, are sitting honestly on either side of the table. On the other side, Hyogoro sits with a serious look on his face, as he is here to mediate their conflict.

Hyogoro stepping in signifies a minor civil dispute. If the Hundred Beasts intervene, then it would become a legal issue. Although the Hundred Beasts are seen as a group of lawless maniacs by the World Government, they have their own laws in their territory.

Hyogoro’s retirement life is quite decent; the former gang members now have respectable jobs, significantly better than the past. Wano Kuni is very peaceful now, and even he doesn’t want this tranquility disturbed.

As someone who knows some truths of the past, Hyogoro often wonders if this is indeed the best future.

”You guys should stop. Continuing to cause trouble benefits no one. Do you want to be sent to Udon for reform? Don’t forget how Pokemon appeared; you don’t have the right to decide their identities.

Respect their wishes. If you fight, whatever, but if the Machokes start fighting too, that adult won’t be happy.”

Hyogoro earnestly advised them. Previously, Hotei had asked Kojiro to find Hyogoro, hoping he could mediate the matter so it wouldn’t escalate further. Otherwise, they would have had to report it further.

”But....”

They need to support each other within their respective industries, as they are all leaders in their fields. A step down is what they need.

”I’ll step up as your guarantor. This should work, right? Besides, you’re not children. In the future, there may be Pokemon that are more suited to your industries. Fighting now is useless; those unrelated are living well, aren’t they?”

”Hyogoro Big Brother, we’ll definitely give you face, so let’s leave it at that.”

They were well aware of the consequences Hyogoro laid out, handling it this way was naturally the best, plus Hyogoro had great prestige among the people of Wano Kuni, so there wouldn’t be much problem.

Just then, a room behind Hyogoro suddenly burst open, and a large amount of cotton surged out.

A Whimsicott lay on the pile of cotton, laughing heartily.

This cotton was indeed its handiwork, a standard prank of the Whimsicott, but Hyogoro didn’t seem surprised. Instead, he reached out his hand toward the Whimsicott with a smile.

”Look, you see, these Pokemon reciprocate human thoughts. Whether they prefer fitness, sumo, or carrying heavy things, you just have to respect them a bit more.”

Hyogoro’s wife loves these mischievous Whimsicott, which in turn makes him quite fond of them. Now, in her spare time, she even makes dolls.

And the raw material for the dolls comes from the cotton the Whimsicott creates, which has become their new daily life.

...

”That’s the situation, Sacred Beast Lord. Hyogoro seems to have resolved this issue, and it seems effective. But Sacred Beast Lord, you’re really not concerned about those Machokes?”

”Different personalities; it’s normal for the same tribe to have conflicts. It’s just minor skirmishes, no need to intervene with them, and it’s also their way of getting stronger.”

In Ghost Island, Shaina reported on the specific situation. Regarding Wano Kuni, the Hundred Beasts are quite familiar; such large-scale physical conflicts would already be considered a major event; it’s impossible not to know.

The Machoke issue Shaina inquired about refers to some of them having battles due to differences in personalities and preferences, something less common among other Pokemon.

However, this is also part of the daily life of Fighting-type Pokemon, as they are mostly restless, and it’s an important training method, nothing major.

”Isn’t there anything else?”

”Nothing particularly special. Since Mr. Kaidou made that big commotion, even our territories in the outside world have calmed down quite a bit.

But New Fishman Island has taken quite a hit. According to feedback from Mandfeish, the Trapinch have been fighting rather frequently lately.”

Even though the Navy beautified that raid, it did not change the nature of the event. Kaidou’s proactive attack on a Navy Branch was an extremely rare move on the sea.

Such wild actions amazed even the pirates, somewhat deterring those petty villains, allowing the territory of the Hundred Beasts to temporarily enter a stable period.

”The rest are trivial matters. Sacred Beast Lord, should we prepare for the next voyage?”

”Yes....”

”Father! I’m heading out first, I’ll be back in a bit!”

Just as Arceus finished speaking, Yamato’s head popped out from the door, and after saying this, she dashed off with her cloud bag, not stopping much.

Currently, she has the qualification and freedom to control her own path, and the reason for her rush is simply to ”escape.”

Based on her analysis of Kaidou’s personality and the speed calculation of the Eight-Headed Dragon, Kaidou is expected to return to Wano Kuni within the next two days.

From the newspapers, she knew that Kaidou wasn’t satisfied with just a few hours of playtime.

And since follow-up reports didn’t mention Kaidou battling elsewhere, it meant that Kaidou was likely to return full of fighting spirit.

A Kaidou full of fighting spirit wasn’t good news for her. Based on past experiences, the probability of her being dragged into the combat abyss was over 90%, hence she went out to lay low and return once Kaidou calmed down.

Regarding Kaidou, she had already triggered a maxed-out intelligence passive, taking her subordinates out of Wano Kuni, well stocked on logistics, avoiding the previously painful impoverished voyage again.

Yamato’s escape somewhat surprised Arceus; this girl had indeed gotten smarter this time. Meanwhile, he found the one Machoke in the group that loved sumo the most, planning to create something special to keep Kaidou occupied for a while.
