Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 714: Chapter 713: Machoke’s Belt, Kaidou in the Headlines

King clenched his fists, producing a crisp sound of bones colliding, but that was all there was. When it comes to the best anti-intoxication abilities, the Hundred Beasts are unparalleled in the New World.

Under the leadership of Kaidou, the drunkard, there are also a bunch of alcoholics within the Hundred Beasts, indirectly boosting the business of taverns in Wano Kuni. To cope with this situation, the versatile Queen, under friendly suggestions, successfully used Berry ingredients to create a rapid-acting sobering agent.

However, the usage of this thing is very low; those people drink to enjoy the feeling of being drunk.

If it weren’t for the fact that she had to meet someone later, and that she was currently a key contributor, he would definitely let Drake understand what it means to sober up physically.

”Big Brother King, I’m not drunk! You don’t believe me? Let me walk in a straight line for you to see...”

”Enough nonsense. If you dare to misbehave in front of Lord Arceus later, say goodbye to your easygoing lifestyle!”

In the kitchen of Ghost Island, King poured the usual sobering materials stored there into Drake. Only after ensuring she was sober did he take her back upstairs.

...

”Well done. You guys are not newcomers to the pirate crew anymore, so I won’t mince my words. Just say what you want.”

For those who retrieved the Plate, granting stronger power is a necessity, but they usually also get some other benefits. This is a rare opportunity to ask for rewards freely.

As long as it’s not something outrageous, most requests can be fulfilled.

”I... I want a swordsmanship teacher. If possible, I’d also like my own ship.”

Iscariot, following Drake’s advice these past few days, reflected on what she needed. Overall, she hoped to become stronger, and as for the ship, she desired a separate fleet. Her character was different from most pirates.

The most suitable ship for her might be the ship that Yamato takes, but she hadn’t thought that far yet.

”Alright, as for the ship, just wait a little while. Regarding the swordsmanship teacher... go find Kojiro and tell him it’s from me.”

There aren’t many serious swordsmen within the Hundred Beasts. King uses a sword, but unlike those Sword Masters, he merely uses it as a tool. His bold and open fighting style isn’t particularly suitable for Iscariot.

Sasaki’s Spiral Sword, Who’s-Who’s dagger blade, each one of these people can be said to be more outrageous than the other. As for traditional teaching, people from Wano Kuni are actually more suitable.

Besides those Daimyo back then, there are still many famous swordsmen in Wano Kuni.

As for whether Kojiro teaches personally or arranges another teacher, Arceus believes he can handle it.

”Shaina, you take her over first and also check how Kojiro’s evolution process is going.”

”As you command, Lord Arceus.”

After saluting, Shaina and Iscariot left, leaving only King and Drake here.

”What about you? Is there something you want?”

”Hmm... Lord Arceus, can I have the final say over Kikunojo’s fate?”

”Hmm?”

”That guy is so stubborn, it’s a waste of that face. I feel he might cause trouble in the future. If it’s within a tolerable range, could I handle him? If possible, I wouldn’t mind having some treasure either.”

After thinking it over, Drake really didn’t have any special demands, just some requests on the lifestyle front.

”King, see to it. I need to research some new things.”

”As you command.”

Arceus agreed but had no intention of handling it personally, just entrusted it to King.

Unlike Iscariot’s immediate rewards, Drake received a card a few hours later.

”Big Brother King, what is this, treasure?”

”No, it’s your spending card. You can use it freely with Hundred Beasts and Wano Kuni’s businesses, but it’s only for you - no treating others, no transfers, no buying on behalf of others.”

Arceus gave the handling over to King, who thought giving treasures was pointless, as no matter how much was given, she’d spend it all anyway. So he came up with a new method to solve her low-income lifestyle.

She’s just that kind of person: if it’s only for her own spending, ordinary financial resources are entirely sufficient. But with her spending habits, her wallet is always empty, so the card’s restrictions mean it’s for her use only. Without this limitation, who knows what she’d do.

It’s like giving her special supply channels; many products will have her special versions, which is a rare honor. It also prevents her from doing strange things like reselling resources in certain situations.

”Why does it feel weird...”

”There’s nothing weird about it, look at these officers - who else, like you, only has money on payday? Also, the treasures are for your indulgence.”

He said, handing her some more treasures to satisfy her unique consumption psychology.

.....

With the return of the Fighting Type Plate, a new group of Pokemon appeared on Ghost Island. In the training ground on Ghost Island, several Machokes carrying large crates walked in, and inside the crates were Machamp’s belts.

Similar in shape to humans, their entire body was muscular, but their skin was grayish-blue, with red marks on their arms. Their heads had tile-like crests, with faces akin to lizard-like creatures, more like tailless lizard people than humans.

They belong to the Fighting Type Machamp Pokemon, with a robust body full of powerful muscles, wearing a signature Golden Belt with patterns resembling black trunks.

Their physical bodies are very tough, possessing unfathomable strength.

The Golden Belt, similar to a champion’s belt, is not a symbol of honor but a power restrictor, as their power is too immense. They wear the Power Limitation Belt to control their strength and maintain their daily lives.

But when facing strong enemies, they’ll unleash their full power by removing the belt, though doing so puts a huge burden on their bodies. Consequently, almost nobody has seen Machamp removing the belt.

Just like Slaking’s lazy trait, the belt, evolved from the energy inside during evolution, is meant to protect themselves. These belts also serve as new training equipment for the people of Ghost Island.

After moving the items, the Machamps burst into Ghost Island’s gym. These Pokemon have a particular dedication to physical training, continuing their exercises while others rest.

”What are you looking at now? Another big news?”

The morning’s newspaper was delivered to Ghost Island, attracting the attention of many. When he moved closer, the headline immediately caught his attention.
