Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 50: Chapter 50: Purilite Takes the Fall

But after a moment, she still pinched her nose and bit down, and as her face turned ashen, a fluffy fox tail grew from behind her.

Pointed snout, round ears, limbs slightly short, after complete bestial transformation, its size wasn’t large, and it looked somewhat cute.

”Is this... a Nordic Fox?”

This world also has Arctic and Antarctic regions, and whether Antarctica is colder or the Arctic is colder is a topic that could spark a fight between two of the Four Emperors.

Among the classifications under the Dog-Dog Fruit are categories like foxes, dogs, and wolves, so it’s not surprising to have the ability of a fox.

However, this Nordic Fox is clearly in its winter form, covered in white fur all over.

Olga at this moment felt a strong nausea; the taste of the Devil Fruit is indescribable, and she already hated fruit as a thing. Combined, she felt as though something was trying to pull her stomach out from her body.

After calming this feeling, she, like Elizabeth earlier, began to familiarize herself with the fruit’s abilities.

The first to appear was the beast transformation ability; the changes of Inteleon weren’t much, but Olga’s perspective after beast transformation changed drastically.

Looking at Kaidou beside her, she didn’t even know where she had gotten the courage to hijack him in the first place.

Of course, after this, she heard words that made her bristle with anger.

”Even though it’s a fox, Kaidou bro, shouldn’t it be more resistant to beating now?”

”Um... why is there a need to be resistant to beating?” Turning back from a fox to a human, Olga had a bad premonition. She thought getting stronger involved constant training.

This process might be tough, but she was prepared for it. But being beaten was a whole different matter.

Previously, Kaidou’s physical training always pushed her to the extreme of the human body, leaving her with no extra strength to worry about other things.

She’s not afraid of hardship, but she is afraid of pain. The potential tapped during a previous injection even made Queen take notice.

”Don’t be afraid, you’re still quite a distance away from being beaten. At least first train your stamina, but you can first observe how others train.”

Queen was applying pressure on Olga, but the pressure soon returned to himself.

”Well said, then let’s start with you later.”

Kaidou’s voice reached Queen’s ears, causing him to shudder.

”Um... Kaidou bro, I have to steer the ship, training isn’t convenient now.”

”Isn’t the course already set?”

”That’s right...”

”And the steam pressure is stable, isn’t it?”

”That’s so...”

”Then there’s no need to worry, I’ll control the force, leaving you with some energy to monitor the ship’s situation.”

Queen originally thought he was the only one managing the ship, so Kaidou wouldn’t have him train now, but that assumption was wrong.

Olga still needed physical training, but Queen was different. Though rotund, he had pretty much perfected his stamina training, and the development of his fruit ability depended on himself, with Haki being the remaining part.

Getting beaten is always a crucial part of Haki training. Whether it’s Armament’s defense power or Observation Haki’s perception, they both can be gradually enhanced during the ”getting beaten” process.

The goal of training is not to get beaten. As long as Kaidou’s requirements are met, with Observation Haki able to dodge attacks and Armament able to withstand attacks, then one won’t get beaten.

However, reaching that level directly is evidently impossible.

Once Olga had her ability, Kaidou would inevitably adjust her training intensity, otherwise it would be wasting the massive recovery power of the Zoan fruit.

But even if training is due, it’s not now; the next part is the eagerly awaited ability modification session.

Although Olga consumed the fruit before undergoing modification, this time Arceus didn’t choose the kind of undirected mutation that Queen had, but used the power of the Dread Plate.

With the presence of that type of Plate, directed guidance is somewhat better than undirected mutation.

Undirected mutation has an uncertainty: the fruit ability might not be in its final form, and special form changes like mega evolution and dynamax can be developed based on the fruit’s awakening.

But a fruit is not a Pokemon; evolving on its own is unlikely. It would require a second modification, which is why his modified abilities are all in their final form.

Using the Nordic Fox as the base, a brand new transformation was occurring within Olga, and just like that, a standing demon fox appeared before everyone.

Demon Fox Pokemon - Zoroark.

The winter white fur of the Nordic Fox turned into a summer gray-black color, but her golden hair was retained, and the red mane originally on Zoroark’s back turned into gold.

Compared to abilities like Blaziken, Tropius, Aerodactyl, and Inteleon, Zoroark’s ability was not so apparent.

Even Kaidou and Queen couldn’t determine Olga’s ability until Zoroark’s figure became a phantom, and then turned into another Queen.

Then in front of Queen’s face, she slimmed down, and Olga took out a mirror from her body to take a look.

”Uncle Queen, your slimmed down look... doesn’t seem much better either.”

”Idiot! Change back now! You’re defaming me, this isn’t what I look like slimmed down!”

Using phantom to disguise oneself as others is considered Zoroark’s unique ability as a race.

Not just humans, Zoroark can also morph into the forms of other Pokemon, although this requires enough understanding, and Olga doesn’t understand these, so she can only mimic the forms of other people.

Then, Olga continued to master her ability. Zoroark’s ability is not just to morph into others; it’s just one of the most basic abilities.

The pirate ship continued its voyage, and Olga’s life was well organized, learning cultural lessons and various knowledge from Asie and Queen, guided personally by Teacher Kaidou for physical training, having Shaina help develop her fruit ability, and teaching Elizabeth to speak.

About a month later, however, the News Bird that flew in brought news they couldn’t understand.

[Death Theater - Purilite, Bounty 500 million Belly, ONLY LIVE]

”This guy’s already dead, how can his bounty still increase? Are those Navy guys useless?”

Looking at today’s newspaper, Kaidou was a bit bewildered, and his bounty had risen to 1.5 billion.

But this had nothing to do with the Natehuo Kingdom incident; it was purely because he escaped from the research lab. King and Shaina were still not bounty targets, indicating the previous incident was well concealed.

But why had Purilite’s bounty increased, and why was there a special condition of needing to capture alive to claim the bounty?

He didn’t know, all of this was attributed to Spandine, or rather, Spandam.

Previously, being upset, he caused a fire in Spandine’s office, which led to a small-scale blaze, and during this fire, Purilite’s Life Card was lost. With the disappearance of Fleit and CP0, they sent more personnel to Natehuo Kingdom.

Due to Spandine’s misinformation, a series of misjudgments occurred.
