Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 46: Chapter 46: How Dare You Touch My Intern!

”I didn’t kill them, you know, we just played a game. Uncle didn’t use any weapons. Who could punch through a door with their hands, you say? It was something Uncle and your dad talked about.

I’ll take you away, and then they’ll come looking for you. As long as they can’t find you, we win.”

Unlike the overly obese Asie, Olga, who lived only on fruit, was somewhat malnourished. Plus, girls grow faster than boys when they are young, so Fleit mistook her for a five- or six-year-old child.

In his eyes, this kind of child was easy to fool.

He only thought she was related to Alkemi, not realizing she was the daughter of the Pure Gold Maker, let alone that she was a little girl who had lived for over a hundred years.

As for using such methods just on suspicion and not caring about others’ lives, such things were not surprising to the members of CP9. As long as they could complete tasks, ordinary people’s lives wouldn’t concern them.

However, at Fleit’s words, a disdainful smile appeared on Olga’s face. A real kid might have been fooled by him, but not her. Not to mention punching through a door, even crushing stones with bare hands wasn’t strange.

After Shaina’s corrections over several months, she had overcome the habit of speaking her mind, only glaring fiercely at Fleit.

”You? A good person?”

”That’s right, Uncle is a good person. I work for the World Government. How can someone working there be a bad person? On the sea, only those pirates are bad people.”

This statement in itself was not problematic, except for children born into pirate clans. For ordinary people, pirates were the bad guys.

However, coming from Fleit, it sounded strange. Asie had also warned Olga not to reveal anything about Alkemi and Pure Gold to anyone, be they pirate, navy, or even the World Government.

As of now, the people of Hundred Beasts treated them pretty well. He dared not gamble on people’s hearts with potential futures. Pure Gold was a huge temptation, and he was quite aware of it. Plus, he himself harbored some suspicion toward the World Government.

As for Shaina, she had irreconcilable grievances with the World Government. Under her and Asie’s influence, Olga didn’t have much trust in World Government people either.

Not to mention she saw what Fleit did. She wasn’t stupid. Asie’s tone and Elizabeth’s screams when they fell didn’t sound fake.

”Bah! If you were a good person, there would be no pirates on the sea!”

”Don’t be so sure. Uncle is also from Alkemi Island, you know. If you don’t believe it, look at this. Now you believe, right?”

He recited the meaning of the text on Olga’s skirt pattern, trying to win Olga’s trust this way.

But he didn’t know that over a hundred years had passed since Alkemi was in the belly of the lanternfish, and there were no other living people on the island. His behavior made Olga believe he was the one Asie mentioned, coveting Pure Gold.

However, her eyes shifted, and she had a new idea.

”Uncle, you’re really from Alkemi? Were you just joking with Dad and them?”

”Of course. I never lie. If I do, I’ll swallow a thousand needles and end up burned by fire. But I haven’t been back to Alkemi in a long time. You weren’t even born then. When I went back, everyone was gone. Can you tell Uncle where they all went?”

”Okay, but it’s a secret. I can only whisper it to you.” Hearing this, Fleit’s ears leaned toward Olga. Bringing back Pure Gold would be greater merit than merely delivering news to the Heavenly Celestial Dragon.

However, the next moment, Olga lunged at his ear and bit it.

”Ow, that hurts...”

Olga sat down holding her teeth, feeling like she’d bitten onto a piece of Tekkai, and even chipped a tooth.

”You little brat, you’re really not behaving. But it doesn’t matter. You do have something to do with Alkemi.”

Seeing that he couldn’t fool her, Fleit stopped smiling. Olga’s reaction compared to him was much inferior.

As for why Olga felt tooth pain, it was the Rokushiki - Tekkai.

Mastering Rokushiki was a basic requirement for formal CP9 members. Although the Tekkai skill would cause bad luck for everyone except its creator, choosing to take attacks with Tekkai never ended well.

But it wouldn’t backfire facing a child. If she hadn’t used such strength, she wouldn’t have chipped a tooth.

Ordinary children wouldn’t be this alert and hard to fool. Even if not related to Alkemi, she must have many secrets.

”I didn’t want to be too unreasonable, but since you’re so ungrateful, don’t blame me for using some methods.”

Extracting information from the enemy was a required course for them. Even grown men might not withstand those methods. He believed he could make Olga talk in minutes.

But before he could act, a loud noise came from above the safe house. A huge blue claw burst through, pressing him down below.

”What methods were you planning to use on my intern? Just a World Government lapdog. A dog needs to understand its place!”

Then Elizabeth slid down Kaidou’s arm. The hastily stitched wound even continued to bleed, but it still crawled to Olga’s side.

”Elizabeth?! You’re still alive!”

”If you don’t let go, it really might die.” Arceus, who also stepped through the hole, said to Olga.

She was almost hanging on Elizabeth, risking the sutures tearing.

”Lord Sacred Beast! Kaidou... Captain Kaidou! How did you find us?” Upon hearing, Olga let go of Elizabeth. It was her first time calling Kaidou Captain. At this moment, she suddenly felt being a pirate wasn’t so bad.

”Elizabeth led us here. If not for it, we wouldn’t have been so fast.”

Compared to Olga’s awakening, Fleit’s head buzzed, wondering why Kaidou was here?

Such a person appearing here should be after John’s treasure.

”Kaidou, why are you here?”

”Huh? Didn’t you hear the brat calling? I am her captain. Daring to take away my chosen intern, who do you think you are?”

Kaidou grabbed Fleit with his Dragon Claw, flames rising from the claw. Under the dual devastation of Machamp and fire, Fleit let out miserable screams.

In front of typical pirates, he could still swagger, but facing a monster like Kaidou, he had no resistance.

Afterwards, barely alive, he was thrown back before Olga by Kaidou.

”Kill him, brat. Show me if you’re ready for resolve today!”
