Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 48: Chapter 48: Inteleon

This is the advantage of the new ship chosen by Queen, with steam engine and paddle wheel dual power. As long as the boiler pressure and direction are controlled properly, it can enter an unmanned navigation mode for a short time.

The territories of the New World are no secret; one could say everyone knows this. In the Underworld, it’s easy to find maps of their influence distribution.

It’s especially true in the Natehuo Kingdom, known as the Gray Kingdom, where Underworld intelligence agents sometimes even receive news before the World Government.

Understanding the territories of Great Pirates is even easier. Compared to the Four Emperors Era after many years, the current situation in the New World is entirely different. Five years ago, the Rocks Pirates were undoubtedly the strongest power.

But today, after the disappearance of the Rocks Pirates, the captain of the Flying Sky Pirates, admiral of the Golden Lion Pirate Fleet, ”Flying Pirate” - Golden Lion Shiki holds the largest power in the New World.

The Float-Float Fruit’s ability gives the Golden Lion’s fleet a huge advantage in naval battles. However, although they are the largest in scale, in terms of strength, they are still somewhat inferior to Whitebeard. At this time, the captains under him have not yet come into their own.

But Whitebeard is also not troubled by illness, and the Whitebeard Pirates are likewise a top force in the New World.

Then there is the Roger Pirates, who have no fixed territory and roam around in search of the final land. These three groups can be said to be the strongest pirates in the New World today.

Charlotte Linlin, John, Silver Axe, and the other remnants of Rocks together form the second echelon in the New World. Now, such a large power gap has appeared, and once the news spreads, countless pirates will flock like sharks smelling blood.

However, for the news of John’s death at this location to spread, it will likely take quite some time, which is Kaidou’s opportunity.

”Then let’s settle here, but there’s one thing to do before we set off.”

Kaidou looked at the sail on the mast, even though this was a steam paddle ship, it still retained two main masts and sails. Right now, it was blank, without a flag belonging to Kaidou.

Pirates have always valued their flags highly; destroying a flag is tantamount to declaring war, and pirates also use flags to denote their territories.

The smaller boat and the Navy’s patrol ship didn’t matter, but now this ship was truly under the name of the Hundred Beasts, and the vacant flag needed to be painted up.

Afterwards, a new problem arose.

”Is anyone of you good at drawing?” At ten years old, Kaidou was already fighting in the kingdom’s army. Although the army taught literacy, drawing relied solely on talent. Drawing a proper pirate flag was a bit too challenging for him.

Arceus was also not proficient in such things. After absorbing the four Plates, his overall power had greatly enhanced, not just limited to using attribute skills individually.

After absorbing the four Plates, the power of the Thousand Cosmos Bracelet was also fully activated. He could manipulate single elements through the power of the Plates, like water or flames.

Invisible water in his hands can replace arms, far more convenient than arms.

He wasn’t a Smeargle; some things weren’t something you could just draw because you imagined them, otherwise there wouldn’t be so many driven-crazy Party A’s in the world.

As for Shaina and King, everything they learned since birth had only one purpose - survival, so nearly everyone on the boat was a black hole at drawing.

They had seen Olga’s doodling level, so they didn’t even bother asking. As for Asie, letting him draw a pirate flag would be too demanding.

And so, in the end, the task fell back onto Queen once again.

”We need to recruit people, Boss Kaidou, we need to recruit. Even if they’re just cannon fodder, at least let them do the chores!” Queen cried out his frustration holding a paint bucket.

Though Kaidou always said he wanted to expand the manpower, for the people he met recently, he either found them too weak or unsuitable, so to this day, Queen still remained at the bottom tier of the ship.

Olga and Asie couldn’t handle heavy work; having them do something for even a minute would take hours.

Under Kaidou’s rough sketch guidance, a demon-horned skull appeared on their flag.

The ship continued sailing towards the New World, while Kaidou and Queen started counting treasures. The items John kept close were real treasures. Aside from artifacts that looked immensely valuable, there were also several boxes.

”This thing seems like the necklace the Heavenly Celestial Dragon lost back then? I remember the event causing quite a stir.” Queen observed with a magnifying glass in his hand, recalling the bloody incident of a few years ago.

”Not surprising, the Heavenly Celestial Dragons that fell into Rocks’ hands weren’t just one. It seems they couldn’t retrieve everything from Rocks. And John was that kind of person, collecting valuable items.”

Kaidou wasn’t very interested in the necklace and opened another box instead. This time, his expression brightened considerably, as a Devil Fruit lay inside.

”Queen, where’s your encyclopedia? Let’s see what fruit this is.”

”This one is... hmm, it should be a Dog-Dog Fruit, but which type is unknown. Brother Kaidou, mine is just a manuscript, and the original doesn’t record all types either. Regarding this fruit... just half a page.”

”No matter, as long as it’s Zoan, it’s fine. It seems that kid also has his own ability.”

Meanwhile, Arceus is conducting a new modification experiment, but the target isn’t Olga, it’s Elizabeth.

After Shaina’s ability bestowment, King’s fruit modification, and Queen’s ability-user random mutation, Arceus decided to conduct a fourth test, modifying animals other than humans.

This world has many strange creatures, and those with sufficient intelligence are equally powerful when cultivated, like the baboons on Hawkeye Island, or the Kung Fu Sea Cows in Alabasta.

Elizabeth’s intelligence was comparable to a human child, looking at its previous behavior of risking its life to convey messages, modifying it wouldn’t be an issue.

”Snake Monster Lizard... then this should do.” The power of the Splash Plate enveloped Elizabeth, in a burst of white light, its arms began to extend, spine began to straighten, and its skin color turned from green to blue.

”Hmm, modifying animals is much easier than modifying humans. Is it because of the different body structures...”

Modifying animals is even easier than modifying Devil Fruits alone. Canceling its ability to switch forms would require even less power, giving Arceus some new ideas.

Yet creatures like Elizabeth, with enough intelligence and not too large in size, are not commonly seen.

Elizabeth seemed a bit bewildered, constantly switching between its original and new forms, seemingly sensing the change in its body, which also stunned Olga nearby.

”Holy Beast Lord, what’s happening to Elizabeth...”

”A new power. Its race should now be called - Inteleon.”
