The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Liu Yunong looked at her own sister and suddenly felt that between Liu Yunong and Fu Yu, it was hard to say who was out of whose league!

Actually, when you think about it, Fu Yu’s personal qualities are quite good.

The reason he’s been single can be understood by Liu Yunong, considering they work in the same industry.

Ultimately, it’s because he’s too young, entered society late, and hasn’t accumulated much financially.

He doesn’t have a house or a car, his family isn’t particularly wealthy, and his pockets probably aren’t very full either.

And being a head chef, his salary isn’t high.

It’s not just about the low salary; he has extremely long working hours, constantly working overtime, always on call whenever something happens in the kitchen, and infamously has no holidays!

The country’s public holidays apply to all other citizens but seem ineffective for chefs.

The more people relax and enjoy the holidays, the more the kitchen staff have to work overtime.

While families gather happily for meals during holidays, Fu Yu is stuck in the kitchen continuously taking orders, cooking, dealing with all kinds of ingredients and cookware, often too busy even to have a sip of water.

Enduring such a work schedule for a day or two, maybe because of his looks, is manageable, but over time, which girl could handle it?

They all got scared away.

Isn’t every girl looking for either wealth or a reliable male who is both family and marriage material when looking for a boyfriend? Fu Yu doesn’t fit into either category.

The consensus among the girls who know Fu Yu is that he’s impeccable in character, good-looking, and has a decent temper, but... it’s just that his work nature and schedule are things no ordinary, sensible girl can endure!

That’s probably why, despite his great qualities, Fu Yu remained single for so long until he met Liu Yuqing.

Liu Yunong herself had already resigned to being the older single woman.

So, ever since she fully acknowledged Fu Yu as a person, she increasingly felt that her sister had truly found a treasure this time.

Since the treasure is already in hand... return it? That’s out of the question!

Thinking of this, Liu Yunong immediately restrained her smile and softly scolded, ”Enough, stop laughing. Look at yourself! You neither stand nor sit properly! A girl should be steady and decent.”

Liu Yuqing laughed and threw herself onto Liu Yunong, hugging her neck and acting coquettish, ”Sister!”

Liu Yunong rolled her eyes, ”I’m telling you, a woman must have poise. Your behavior must be decent and elegant. Xiaofu is so outstanding, yet you’re acting crazy. Aren’t you afraid Xiaofu will dislike you when he finds out?”

”When you have time, go buy a few new clothes, and your hair, maybe it’s time for a trim, it’s really...”

Liu Yuqing froze as she listened to her sister’s nagging.

However, thinking about it, she snorted, ”He wouldn’t dare!”

Her words were tough, but her tone clearly lacked confidence.

She even felt strangely guilty.

Liu Yuqing glanced at her phone, hesitated for a moment, and sent Fu Yu a message:

[Who will manage the money at home in the future?]

At that moment, Fu Yu was rummaging through his closet for the clothes he bought when he participated in a cooking competition, planning to spray some water on them to smooth out the wrinkles. Suddenly, he received the message and was momentarily stunned.

What does this mean?

Could it be... the sisters are discussing their relationship?

Thinking about this, Fu Yu immediately went on high alert, carefully examining the message and racking his brain on how to respond.

This kind of question doesn’t require a formal answer but rather an attitude!

It’s one thing to be inadequate, but who wouldn’t know how to show some attitude?

Fu Yu considered it and replied back: [Managing money? Well, whoever is better at math should manage it, right!]

After receiving the message, Liu Yuqing immediately burst out laughing.

Liu Yunong saw her laughter and couldn’t help but ask, ”What are you giggling about now?”

Liu Yuqing handed over her phone, ”Sister, look!”

Liu Yunong leaned over to look at the phone messages. Seeing it was Liu Yuqing’s chat with Fu Yu, she was curious. After reading the content, she couldn’t help but laugh, ”He’s clearly just trying to make you happy!”

Everyone knows Fu Yu didn’t even finish high school before dropping out; this is clearly a way of saying he’ll concede financial control after marriage.

Liu Yunong was quite satisfied with Fu Yu’s response, and the sisters laughed together.

At this moment, another message came from Fu Yu:

[Come on, give me a math problem, mental calculation, send it over, and I’ll guarantee a reply within 3 seconds, how about that?]

Seeing this, Liu Yuqing was a bit eager, ”Oh, he wants to challenge me now!”

Liu Yuqing immediately replied:

[Alright, are you ready?]

[86759475+47478475=?]

Fu Yu indeed responded immediately:

[Too hard, couldn’t calculate it.]

Liu Yuqing couldn’t help but feel a little proud!

Just like that, with this level, still pretending to be tough?

Before she could choose an emoji to reply, another message from Fu Yu came through.

Fu Yu: [I’ll give you a math problem too, but 3 seconds seems a bit too short. How about this, I’ll give you 30 seconds. Ready?]

Liu Yuqing received the message and immediately exclaimed, ”Sister, quickly get the phone calculator ready. I have to beat him!”

Hearing this, Liu Yunong, although she felt Fu Yu was just playing with Liu Yuqing, was urged into opening the phone calculator with a smile.

She had just gotten into position, ready to help calculate at any moment, when suddenly Liu Yuqing burst into laughter with a chuckle.

Liu Yuqing giggled, holding the phone screen up to Liu Yunong, showing her the content on it.
