The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

This gift package is a bit too generous, isn’t it?

And aren’t gifts usually given when you purchase a house?

He’s already paid the down payment, and all the paperwork is done. Now they’re giving so many things, this matter...

Fu Yu looked at Meng Dan with a puzzled expression: ”Manager Meng, are these... all for me?”

Meng Dan, already instructed, smiled warmly and kindly explained, ”Mr. Fu, President Wu specifically asked to give these to you, as your new home renovation subsidy. These gifts are originally given as customer rewards, and since you have this connection with President Wu, of course, we prioritize offering discounts to our own people!”

Fu Yu was dumbfounded: ”New home renovation subsidy? No, no, it’s too valuable!”

With so many gift subsidies, it added up to over a hundred thousand.

Fu Yu felt a bit breathless just thinking about over a hundred thousand being given away like this.

This is hundreds of thousands, not just a few bucks, given just like that.

And it was Yao Shi who helped with the connections back then; ultimately, the favor would fall on Yao Shi.

Meng Dan chuckled, ”Mr. Fu, this was specifically instructed by President Wu, so please accept it. I’m just following orders! If there’s any problem, I think you should contact President Wu directly.”

Fu Yu thought it made sense; talking to Meng Dan was useless, after all... she’s just following her boss’s orders.

Thinking of this, Fu Yu smiled at Meng Dan, ”Alright, let me contact someone first, and we’ll discuss the gift later.”

Finishing his words, Fu Yu left the office and called Yao Shi from around the staircase corner.

Seeing Fu Yu’s call, Yao Shi picked up: ”Hello? Xiaofu.”

Because of Zhao Meng, Fu Yu was quite close with Yao Shi, although they rarely contacted each other privately.

Fu Yu hurriedly said, ”Chef Yao, I came to the sales office today...”

He explained the situation in full detail, feeling a bit troubled, ”I better not accept the gifts, I’ve already owed quite a few favors, anymore and...”

Before Fu Yu could finish, Yao Shi said, ”Oh, so you’ve already gone there? I was going to mention it to you. Since they’re giving it to you, just accept it.”

Fu Yu heard, ”Chef Yao, this... though they call it a gift, it’s actually a subsidy, I did the math, it’s over a hundred thousand. It’s too valuable, I really shouldn’t take it.”

Yao Shi responded, ”It’s fine, just take it. I’m aware of this, Boss Wu and I are old friends, it’s normal to give some discounts.”

Is it really normal...

This is a hundred thousand...

Just like that, given away for free...

Fu Yu was still hesitant, ”But...

Yao Shi decisively said, ”Alright, just accept it.”

Then, fearing Fu Yu might still refuse, Yao Shi elaborated, ”The Fengqiao Riverfront is developed by the Golden Port Real Estate Company, get it?”

Fu Yu: ”...”

Damn!

Golden Port Real Estate Company, that’s a very well-known big company in Bei’an.

And previously, Boss Pang from the dessert shop seemed to have mentioned that his ex-wife is the owner of Golden Port Real Estate Company.

So this is...

Leveraging Boss Pang’s ex-wife’s connections?

Yao Shi continued, ”Boss Pang helped arrange this; he’s interested in reconciling with his ex-wife. Your situation just serves as a bridge. Now his ex-wife is offering discounts, just take it. Don’t worry about the details, once you receive all the gifts, proceed with your renovations.”

Talking about renovation, Yao Shi added, ”By the way, have you decided on furniture or anything? I can help you with contacts.”

Fu Yu quickly replied, ”No need, I’ve already got it sorted.”

Yao Shi muttered, ”Oh... is that so!”

”Alright then, and about the gifts, once you’ve received them, don’t spread the word. It’s better to keep things simple.”

Fu Yu replied, ”Got it, Chef Yao, I understand.”

Feeling assured, Yao Shi finally hung up the call.

Holding his phone, Fu Yu couldn’t help but marvel, ”Wow, impressive!”

Who would’ve thought, Boss Pang has quite the scheme.

It turns out my house purchase benefited from Boss Pang’s connections.

Now that Boss Pang’s ex-wife is offering so many discounts, it looks like there’s hope for their reconciliation!

With Yao Shi’s permission, Fu Yu felt much less pressure.

Returning to the office, upon hearing Fu Yu decided to accept all the gifts, Meng Dan wasted no time and promptly started processing the acceptance procedures for Fu Yu.

Meng Dan explained, ”Mr. Fu, here’s how it is. The gift subsidy can actually be directly deducted from the house payment, processed as a special discount house, and we’re treating it as a group purchase. We can issue special event paperwork for you as the winning customer...”

When it came to the house payment reduction, Meng Dan spoke eloquently.

While tapping on the calculator, she analyzed for Fu Yu how each gift subsidy should be converted.

Fu Yu listened, feeling somewhat bewildered, but... I have to admit... these sales offices have their fair share of strategies and tactics.

Thanks to Manager Meng’s professional handling, Fu Yu left the sales office with more money in his account.

An additional 130,000.

Fu Yu realized.

Boss Pang and his ex-wife have probably reconciled, otherwise, how could he receive this kind of treatment?

...

Leaving the sales office, Fu Yu pondered and then called Zhao Meng.

Although it was Yao Shi who helped with the connections, he saved quite a bit of money. There are people to whom he should show appreciation.
