The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Liu Yunong watched her sister’s face filled with surprise, and the smile on her lips unconsciously deepened, but her expression became more and more serious.

She nodded, ”Hmm, I actually think buying another house in Bei’an isn’t a bad idea. The real estate market here is developing quite rapidly, keeping money in the bank is less beneficial by the day, so it’s better to buy a house to preserve value.”

”Actually, my initial thought was to buy two houses after you return from studying abroad and decide which city to settle in. Two houses close to each other would make it easy to visit you in the future.”

”But since you want to settle down in Bei’an now, I think it’s a good idea. If you have this thought, buying a house is necessary. The one you’re living in right now is somewhat too small, it doesn’t even have a decent walk-in closet.”

Hearing this, Liu Yuqing felt warmth in her heart, and a lump in her throat.

Since childhood, no matter what requests she made, her sister would always satisfy them without hesitation.

In both daily life and other matters, her sister always prioritized how to better care for and accompany her.

In this world, her sister is the one who loves her the most and treats her well unconditionally.

Liu Yuqing couldn’t resist giving her sister a hug and said with heartfelt emotion, ”Sis, you’re the best!”

Liu Yunong felt pretty delighted inside but mumbled, ”Alright, alright! Sit properly, don’t mess around, I’m driving here!”

Glancing at Liu Yuqing’s smiling face, Liu Yunong felt even more determined to buy this house no matter what.

Moreover, Liu Yunong had carefully considered it.

If Fu Yu can have a good relationship with Liu Yuqing and they get married in the future, then spending money on a house for them is definitely worth it!

The reason for this consideration is that if Liu Yuqing marries Fu Yu, and they settle down in Bei’an for work and life, then the time she will spend with me will surely be more than with Fu Yu’s parents.

If I have a family of my own in the future, and both families often interact, I will inevitably trouble Fu Yu.

And... I only have one sister, whom I raised with my own hands. In the future, the large business empire I build will definitely be shared by the two sisters, the money I leave aside for my children and my family will ultimately be used to support Liu Yuqing.

And the money given to Liu Yuqing is actually given to Fu Yu.

One must be open-minded and think for the long-term.

The sister will eventually get married, and to ensure her happiness, winning over the future brother-in-law is necessary.

As the saying goes, a poor couple is sorrowful about everything.

I certainly cannot stand by and watch my sister suffer from poverty and toil. If I want my sister to live a happy life, providing some material assistance is absolutely necessary.

Moreover, just spending some money can make them both happy, and if they really start a family, they can have a favorable standing with Fu Yu’s family. Thinking this way, it’s quite worth it.

Anyway, I have the money, and I’m not short of it.

Thinking of this, Liu Yunong wondered if she should simply get the garage and the car sorted out for them as well.

...

The next day at work, both Fu Yu and Liu Yuqing carried their own thoughts, each planning to give the other a surprise.

When delivering the menu in the morning, their exchanged glances were filled with mysterious smiles.

The love between those in a relationship cannot be hidden.

There are always endless things to say, smiles that cannot be hidden, and thoughts that cannot be suppressed.

If there’s good news, the first person you think of sharing it with is your partner.

Fu Yu and Liu Yuqing’s relationship hasn’t been publicly announced yet.

However, those close to them can somewhat see the signs.

The two of them don’t have any formal intentions of going public, because this covert atmosphere of ”sneaky love” is quite thrilling!

Though they are in no rush, those around them can’t help but inquire out of concern.

Zhao Meng usually pays a lot of attention to Fu Yu’s matters, and he knows about their secret romance.

However, there is a rule in the store against internal relationships, so even when it comes to his affair with Dai Li, everyone is aware but keeps it discreet.

Now seeing Fu Yu and Liu Yuqing exchange flirtatious glances but without officially confirming their relationship, Zhao Meng couldn’t help but have it on his mind.

He must know, Zhao Meng has mentored Fu Yu for more than a year and understands him too well.

This guy never makes uncertain statements.

The last time he mentioned they’ve just started on the journey together, and then nothing followed—implying he hasn’t succeeded yet.

So, Zhao Meng was suddenly concerned.

Taking the chance during the afternoon lunch break, Zhao Meng caught up with Fu Yu and quietly suggested, ”Take the initiative to ask for an evening off from your mentor, I plan to invite Chef Yao to a dinner.”

It’s always better to act early rather than late.

Even though there’s a level of closeness with Yao Shi, Fu Yu still needs to show some consideration.

Otherwise, Yao Shi might think Fu Yu is inattentive.

Social interactions work on a reciprocal basis.

Hearing that he was to dine with Yao Shi, Fu Yu promptly agreed, ”Alright, I’ll call my mentor right away to request leave.”

Zhao Meng nodded and then asked, ”Hey, what’s going on with you and Liu Yuqing?”

After saying that, he stared at Fu Yu with sharp eyes, making Fu Yu inexplicably a bit guilty.
