The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

After all, herbal cuisine is different from general beauty treatments. Not only does it need to be effective, but it must also match the customer’s taste.

While ensuring its color, aroma, and taste are up to standard, it must also be effective.

The music restaurant received a total of five herbal cuisine orders after the new year.

The timing for customers to come and customize their herbal cuisine was deliberately staggered since, after customization, cooking and taste testing were necessary for the customers.

On one hand, it allows the customer to experience the dishes of herbal cuisine as therapeutic food.

On the other hand, it lets Fu Yu understand the customer’s taste preferences, facilitating the determination of cooking methods for herbal cuisine.

The first customers scheduled were those renewing their orders.

Having previously tasted the herbal cuisine cooked by Fu Yu and deeply felt its significant effects, benefiting immensely, they specifically renewed their orders for a deeper body adjustment.

If previously the customization of a few courses of herbal cuisine was primarily focused on beauty, it has now become more about nourishing and adjusting the body, prioritizing health.

With long-term regulation, they gradually realized that maintaining good skin and radiance requires not only external maintenance but, most critically, internal nurturing.

The well-being of energy and spirit greatly affects one’s appearance state.

Only when the body is well does one’s complexion improve.

Beauty and health are complementary.

Fu Yu was also very familiar with the situations of these two customers, and the customization of their herbal cuisine went smoothly.

After understanding their needs, Fu Yu precisely grasped the treatment direction, recommending a fully customized herbal cuisine menu.

Whether in terms of taste or effectiveness, despite not having a taste test, both customers, based on descriptions alone, expressed great satisfaction.

Fu Yu carefully organized the specific herbal cuisine menu.

He was so focused while writing that when his phone suddenly rang, it startled him.

Fu Yu picked up his phone to look at the caller ID; it was Yao Shi.

He then remembered that Yao Shi didn’t come today.

”Sorry, I need to take this call.”

Fu Yu informed others, connected the call, and walked out of the VIP room.

But, why would Chef Yao suddenly call him?

Almost the instant the call connected, Yao Shi’s somewhat urgent voice came through: ”Xiaofu, you’re at the restaurant, right? I need to tell you something.”

Fu Yu paused, hearing the urgency in Yao Shi’s tone, his heart skipped a beat.

He quickly stepped out, closing the door behind him, then curiously asked, ”I’m at the restaurant, just finished customizing a herbal menu with a customer. Chef Yao, what’s up?”

Yao Shi got straight to the point, saying: ”Someone’s coming to the restaurant shortly to observe your herbal cuisine cooking!”

Fu Yu was taken aback; someone is coming to observe him cooking herbal cuisine?

Who?

Why do they want to watch me cook herbal cuisine?

And well, this herbal cuisine cooking is considered a proprietary secret; if anyone can just observe, wouldn’t it lose its mystery?

Yao Shi knows a bit more about this aspect; previously during his cooking in the kitchen, he designated specific personnel for assistance, reportedly having already advised on this matter in advance.

Now suddenly bringing someone over to observe, what on earth is going on?

Various thoughts rushed into Fu Yu’s mind, but before he could question, Yao Shi continued: ”It’s the National Herbal Cuisine Research Association’s herbal cuisine expert, this time coming before the year to inspect various associations. I estimate they heard about our restaurant’s herbal cuisine therapy and insisted on coming to see. I guess they’re here with not-so-good intentions, yet due to existing connections, refusal wasn’t an option...”

”If you ask me, maybe reschedule today’s herbal cuisine customization to avoid meeting him as much as possible. This Expert Liu is very likely here to find faults!”

”I’m about to meet up with them now and might bring them directly to the restaurant in a bit, so hurry and communicate with the customer on your side. Alright, I can’t talk more, not convenient here.”

Without waiting for Fu Yu to respond, Yao Shi decisively hung up the phone.

Fu Yu held the phone, feeling a bit amused and helpless at the same time.

He knew that the system wouldn’t lower the task’s difficulty for no reason.

What seemed like a simple daily task to accomplish easily now suddenly had a hurdle emerge.

Otherwise, with his progress, he could have completed the task effortlessly today and received the reward.

But thinking again, the reward for completing the task is a freckle-removing herbal cuisine recipe!

With such a generous prize, it’s natural for the task to be a bit challenging.

With this thought, he felt comforted.

Especially since he eagerly anticipated and was determined to obtain that freckle-removing herbal cuisine recipe!

Forget about just one expert wanting to observe cooking; even if the whole research association came as a group, he wouldn’t mind at all.

It’s just observing herbal cuisine cooking, right?

Let them observe all they want!

He possesses advanced skills in herbal cuisine cooking and holds a crucial recipe for endocrine dietary adjustments in herbal cuisine therapy.

Moreover, the music restaurant has always had high standards for ingredients.

With both hardware and software in hand, he fears no one!

Isn’t the intent to observe and find faults?

Let them come ahead boldly!

With a calm demeanor, Fu Yu put his phone back in his pocket.

Just... during the observation, make sure to keep the composure and not get overwhelmed.

As Fu Yu was about to head back to the VIP room, Li Xintong happened to find him.

Li Xintong should have also received instructions from Yao Shi, hurriedly ran up and whispered, ”Chef Fu, the boss asked me to assist you in persuading the customers scheduled for today’s herbal cuisine customization to leave, and set another date.”

The notification came too suddenly, making Li Xintong a bit at a loss.

The customers had already been scheduled. Changing plans last minute won’t be easy on the communication side.

It’s easier to speak to those who haven’t come yet, but what about the two in the VIP room?

The herbal menu is almost finalized, but asking them to leave without a taste test, how would that be explained?

What a headache!

Looking worried, Li Xintong asked, ”Chef Fu, what should we do?”

Fu Yu smiled, ”No problem, I’ve just finalized the herbal menu. We’ll prepare it and let the customer taste it.”

Hearing this, Li Xintong breathed a sigh of relief.

Her intention was also to avoid cancellation. Everything had been arranged, and after all the effort, it was almost time to collect the deposit and place the order. Any mishap would affect more than a regular cancellation!

An advance order roughly equates to a day’s worth of ordinary business revenue for the restaurant.

However... the boss asked for cancellation, so is it feasible acting against orders?

This is involving Fu Yu, after all.

Though just turned thirty-seven, Li Xintong was recruited by Yao Shi from the provincial capital and had strong professional abilities.

Although called a restaurant, the music venue is comparable to a grand hotel and serves affluent or noble clientele, maintaining high standards for service staff.

Yao Shi sending her to assist Fu Yu signifies trust in her.

Finding the matter a bit tricky, Li Xintong, seeing Fu Yu’s calm demeanor, felt inexplicably reassured.

This blind trust didn’t stem solely from looks but gradually developed through understanding Fu Yu’s character and abilities over time.

Fu Yu isn’t someone who makes empty boasts, nor does he show off needlessly.

He stands by what he can do and recognizes what he can’t.

His decision to continue serving the customer showed his confidence in handling the situation.

Li Xintong couldn’t help but relax too.

As they conversed, Li Xintong’s phone rang again.

Yao Shi called to inform her that he was bringing the person and would arrive at the restaurant in about ten minutes, advising her to prepare the private room for reception.

Upon hearing Li Xintong recount this, Fu Yu was surprised too.

Coming so soon?

But it was just right, as he had completed the herbal menu customization and was preparing to cook in the kitchen.
