The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

The Little New Year is approaching, the New Year is almost here.

The staff at Qianlima have reached their busiest time of the year again.

Fu Yu leaves in the early morning darkness and returns late every day.

During the day he’s at Qianlima, and in the evening he goes to Shangshi Private Kitchen. He doesn’t have any shifts at the music restaurant this week, but he’s still busy enough that his feet barely touch the ground.

If a normal person were this busy, they wouldn’t have the mental space for other things.

However, Fu Yu found that he wasn’t as single-mindedly focused on just cooking and working as before but started to be distracted by thoughts of Liu Yuqing.

As soon as Liu Yuqing came over to deliver a menu, no matter how busy Fu Yu was, he would always glance her way, and if there was a chance, he would chat with her for a few moments.

By the time the employees had their afternoon meal, he even personally made a dish of cherry pork, kept a plate for himself, and secretly handed another plate to the front desk as an extra meal for Liu Yuqing.

Fu Yu didn’t mean to make it obvious, but he found himself unable to control himself.

He was always worried whether Liu Yuqing was eating well, drinking well, too tired from work, or in a bad mood.

Liu Yuqing ate in silence, a dish of cherry pork, clearly with the front desk girls, but as she ate, her face turned red without realizing it.

The main reason is... the feeling of being secretly pampered is just too blissful.

Their relationship wasn’t explicitly mentioned to others, so somehow when they were together, there was this sneaky feeling.

This feeling of hiding from everyone else and enjoying their own private joy made both of them delighted and excited.

A casual meeting of eyes, just a shared gaze, was enough to make their hearts flutter.

This constant thinking of each other—wanting to see each other, talk, chat, even just a quick glance—was enough to secretly delight them.

It was at this time that Fu Yu finally understood why many places banned office romances.

This really could affect everyday work efficiency.

As Little New Year approached, boss Dong Jun Tian took the opportunity to gather all the staff together for a pre-New Year motivation meeting when no customers were around in the morning.

Old topics in new clothes, still the same old talks.

About shift adjustments and related bonus commissions during the time from Little New Year to the Spring Festival.

Throughout the year, this has always been the busiest time for the store.

With a heavy workload, in order to maintain employees’ enthusiasm, the store often implements some bonus reward systems.

After listening to the boss announce specific reward measures, the meeting moved on to each department leader summarizing their own department’s big and small issues and proposing various urgent problems that need solving.

While the leaders were passionately discussing, those below, unable to leave or intervene in the meeting, each zoned out, entertaining themselves.

With nothing else to do, Fu Yu flipped through his personal attribute panel.

[Name: Fu Yu]

[Profession: Chef]

[Level: lv10:618/1000 (Beginner Apprentice) (Head Chef)]

[Professional Skills: (Job change in progress)

Profession 1: Barbecue Master: 88 points/100 points

...]

Fu Yu was slightly stunned, not expecting the Barbecue Master job change to have a score?

And it’s already at 88 points!

Looks like all the time spent in the cooking area hasn’t gone to waste.

Fu Yu suddenly became curious, what would the next professional skill be if he successfully completed the Barbecue Master job change?

He reopened the relevant hints behind the job change and carefully reviewed them.

[Hint: Each skill mastered earns you corresponding professional level scores. Every related culinary operation earns you corresponding professional level scores. Completing a matching mission content also earns you corresponding professional level scores.

Note: When the professional skill score reaches 60 points, the relevant learning task can be activated automatically. When the professional skill score reaches 100 points, a second profession can be unlocked]

That is to say, as long as Fu Yu gains another 12 points in barbecue and cooking, he can unlock the second profession.

This made Fu Yu quite happy.

After all, from receiving the job change task reminder to now, it’s only been about two months.

Surely it won’t be long before he can successfully unlock the second profession.

After Qianlima’s expanded renovation, the newly added barbecue area has become another major section in the kitchen comparable to the Red Case District and White Case District.

Though not explicitly stated, the barbecue area is now entrusted to Fu Yu.

He gets the most orders from regular customers, and the barbecue area is usually under his management.

And with such impressive barbecue skills, the second profession certainly wouldn’t be far behind.

What Fu Yu needs most now is to improve his culinary skills in all aspects.

It seems that lately, he needs to put in even more effort.

The leaders were still debating heatedly about the attitude of front desk staff.

Fu Yu simply reviewed the content of the prompts again.

Previously, he hadn’t paid much attention, but suddenly discovered that professional skill scores only need to reach 60 points before the relevant learning task can be activated automatically.

Does this mean that the tasks he previously received were systematically prioritized to assist in completing skill scores?

It seems the system truly wants to mentor him!

Fu Yu felt grateful!

If it weren’t for the system being without physical form, Fu Yu felt that he should pay homage to it.

The system is practically a life mentor!

He marveled quietly for a moment, looking at the long list of various skills below.

Almost all were intermediate to advanced, with the few elementary items because the related task content hadn’t been received, and thus temporarily remained undeveloped.
