The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Fu Yu shook his head when he saw the situation: ”No need to bother, I’m just here for a consultation. The house isn’t ready yet, so I’m not in a rush to renovate.”

He didn’t have a good impression of Wang Kangxu at all.

This guy was just saying polite words to show off in front of Liu Yuqing, but Fu Yu wasn’t going to give him that opportunity.

However, Liu Yuqing obviously didn’t grasp Wang Kangxu’s real intention.

She even nodded earnestly: ”Really? What brand are you representing?”

Wang Kangxu was taken aback, but he still mentioned his brand.

Liu Yuqing laughed instantly upon hearing: ”Wow, that’s great! This brand’s furniture is indeed nice, you have a great eye!”

Being praised, Wang Kangxu’s face immediately showed a smug look: ”Just so-so, actually besides furniture, I also have two sporting brand stores under my representation.”

Liu Yuqing asked with great interest: ”If I were to shop at your stores, how much discount could I get?”

Wang Kangxu was dumbfounded.

How much discount?

Since it’s my brand, I could give it for free!

But the cost of brand furniture is indeed quite high.

If it was for Liu Yuqing’s house renovation, he surely wouldn’t charge a cent.

But to give furniture to Fu Yu for free, he wasn’t an idiot.

Thinking privately, Wang Kangxu smiled slightly on the surface, looking at Fu Yu: ”I can’t say for sure, but choosing furniture at our store, at least a fifty percent discount is no problem, and I guarantee the manufacturer’s custom orders will strictly follow the design without cutting corners.”

Actually, this last point alone is quite commendable.

After all, nowadays, in terms of custom manufacturing, cutting corners is rampant and hard to prevent.

And as for the choice of raw materials, unless you’re an expert, it’s impossible to truly discern quality.

Not to mention how materials might be skimped on details.

”If you need anything, you can visit our store. Just at the beginning of the month, the manufacturer sent over a batch of new designs, and two of them are really nice.”

”Not only is the appearance great, but the materials used are also excellent, thanks to a new batch of raw materials the factory received, unlike previous mixed materials, this batch’s quality is outstanding.”

”However, these new furniture pieces come at a higher cost. But since you’re Xiaoqing’s friend, which makes you my friend too, I can offer you a direct purchase at cost.”

Wang Kangxu’s words might sound enthusiastic and polite, but upon careful taste, the implied hints in his tone were all too obvious.

However, Fu Yu wouldn’t confront him directly.

Moreover, he wasn’t planning to buy furniture now.

Fu Yu smiled slightly at Wang Kangxu, speaking politely but distantly: ”That’s great, when the time comes, I’ll definitely head to your store first.”

”After all, don’t let good things go to outsiders, Mr. Wang, rest assured.”

After speaking, Fu Yu suddenly held Liu Yuqing’s hand: ”Xiaoqing, let’s go eat first, we’ll come back to browse when we have time later.”

After speaking, Fu Yu looked at Wang Kangxu.

The two of them locked eyes, their pupils reflecting under the light, dazzling and resembling sparks flying about.

And over at Wang Kangxu’s side, his face turned pale with anger.

He stared fixedly at the hand Fu Yu was holding Liu Yuqing’s with.

What the hell!

Daring to hold Liu Yuqing’s hand!

Even though he was raging inside, Wang Kangxu still maintained his composure, not uttering a word, though a subtle anger like a small flame flickered between his brows, but he held it back from bursting out.

He was almost mad to death!

Regretting that he procrastinated all along and didn’t cling shamelessly to Liu Yuqing, pursuing her until she was his.

It’s said a persistent man wins over a good woman, but he cared too much about his own image.

Now great.

His rival had come right before his eyes, now trying to pursue and fight, does he still have a chance to win her back?

Unwilling!

Too unwilling!

The goddess he chased for years got ahead by someone else!

The more he thought about it, the angrier he became, to the point of wanting to kill!

And at this moment, his phone suddenly rang.

It was a call from the manager of one of his sporting brand stores.

These brand stores under his representation were usually managed by the store managers, calls were rarely made.

Most likely something went wrong.

Wang Kangxu didn’t dare delay, quickly answering the call: ”Hello, what’s up?”

”Boss, we’ve got a problem. A customer came into the store with pants they bought from us, saying they’ve faded.”

Wang Kangxu, already fuming, immediately roared: ”Nonsense! How could our pants possibly fade?”

He represented a sports apparel brand, not denim; they’re made of 100% polyester material, not only non-fading but also non-pilling and non-shrinking.

This is known to everyone in the industry!

The store manager hurriedly explained: ”Boss, it did fade. It’s the new spring model 2506, the one with denim fabric used as pocket decoration.”

”The customer reported that while wearing the new pants for a contract signing and shaking hands with a client, they discovered the material dyed their hand.”

”Because of this, the customer was very agitated, demanding an immediate refund and wants an apology posted on social media.”

Wang Kangxu was stunned.

Spring model 2506?

The avant-garde sports pants style quickly popped into his mind.

During the initial purchase, the clerk had reminded that denim fabric tends to fade, and he had intentionally touched it.

The material, as long as dry, wouldn’t possibly fade!

If washed before wearing again, it wouldn’t leave such staining; float colors would diminish significantly after one wash.

Wang Kangxu frowned: ”How can this be? I touched it during the purchase, it didn’t fade.”

The manager sighed: ”The customer said before the signing, for good luck, they specifically washed their hands. The hands hadn’t dried completely and may have accidentally clutched the pocket while sitting.”

Wang Kangxu was dumbfounded, utterly shocked.

This is possible...

What on earth was this idiot customer thinking?

Shit, really!

When misfortune comes, what ridiculous things can happen?

Wang Kangxu’s face twisted, so mad he wanted to smash the phone!

But seeing the bustling customers around, he suppressed that impulsive emotion.

It was already unlucky enough, he couldn’t afford another loss.

Smash the phone and he’d have to spend money to buy a new one!

What a loss!

Being delayed by this incident, he looked up again to find no trace of Fu Yu and Liu Yuqing.

Thinking of how Fu Yu had held Liu Yuqing’s hand before, Wang Kangxu felt his heart about to explode with rage.

Feeling his mentality crumble with anger, desperately wanting to vent, yet having no outlet.

Not only unable to express his fury, but now he also had to calm himself and handle customer refund disputes.

Furious, furious!

Wang Kangxu was about to explode from anger, but helplessly had no means, had it not been for the sake of his image, tears of grievance might have flowed.

He took deep breaths repeatedly, striving to calm himself down.

”Agree to the refund, additionally offer a new-pants gift, negotiate well, if that doesn’t suffice, give a discount card, but no way for a public apology on social media. And handle the issue straightforwardly, making sure the customer agrees not to spread word.”

”For future sales of this pants model, clearly inform customers to wash before wearing; the denim fabric on the pockets has floating color, prone to fading!”

After clearly stating the instructions, Wang Kangxu hung up the call in frustration!

He hurried to the main entrance, his mind a blank slate, unsure of what he was doing!

Meanwhile, Liu Yuqing’s mind was also somewhat frozen.

She looked dazedly at her hand, tightly held by Fu Yu, letting him pull her forward.

Her heart leapt from its original spot, jumping to her throat.

If pulled with a bit more force, it might just jump out of her mouth!
