The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Chapter 404: Chapter 403: As Long as It Tastes Good

Luo Rang cleared his throat and solemnly said, ”Now, everyone is aware of the current order situation, so I won’t go into the impact this review might have. I’ll just go straight to our thoughts and strategy.”

”Since customers have ordered five flavors, we plan to prepare the more popular options in our store: original grilled, secret recipe grilled, spicy grilled, five-spice grilled, and marinated grilled. Although these aren’t particularly extraordinary flavors, we’re aiming for stability without mistakes, and we can’t focus on anything else for now...” Luo Rang said seriously, ”I think it’s fairly standard, and there shouldn’t be any major problems.”

”Mainly, our store doesn’t specialize in barbecue, so as long as we can maintain a decent appearance after the review, that’s enough...”

The others nodded in agreement.

The situations in various shops were quite similar.

The only specialized barbecue shop was under more pressure.

However, the stores chosen for the review are all highly praised for their grilling flavors and reputations, and they’re quite confident in their chefs’ skills.

Every shop has its own unique secret recipe!

A seemingly simple dish, though it seems you can find it anywhere, each shop has its own specific cooking secrets.

When customers taste it, they can immediately tell the difference in uniqueness and flavor.

But even so, satisfying customer tastes is a difficult balance!

Some like it heavy, some light, some love spicy, others sweet, and so on.

No one knows the preferences of the three streamers conducting the review, so they dare not make overly exotic flavors for the barbecue.

After all, some flavors might be delightful to some but completely unacceptable to others.

The safest bet is to choose flavors that are generally accepted by the masses and have a high order rate in daily operations.

It’s safe and less likely to go wrong!

After finishing, Luo Rang couldn’t help but sigh.

Being selected for the review is indeed something to be proud of and happy about.

But the anxiety of responding is truly unsettling.

The head chef from an established barbecue place nodded in agreement: ”Yes, Chef Luo makes a good point. We’ve thought about it the same way, but I have a slightly different idea. Just now in the livestream, the two hosts commented that among the barbecues they’ve tasted, very few were astonishing. Since they ordered five flavors, we’re planning to make four of our best-selling flavors, and also choose one less commonly ordered but actually very delicious sauce...”

After Luo Rang started, the others began to join in the discussion.

Yao Shi stayed silent, listening intently.

These people’s understanding and suggestions regarding grilling are quite fair.

At Yao Shi’s level, although barbecuing isn’t his strength, he can still discern the shortcomings they mentioned and the aspects worth learning from.

He planned to leave the day’s takeout orders for Fu Yu to handle, so he had no intention of participating actively, much less pointing fingers.

Fu Yu’s grilling skills are quite good; with his expertise, there shouldn’t be any major issues.

Moreover, that Brother Hua also mentioned that previously, when they’d had takeout barbecue from Qianlima, although it wasn’t astonishing, it was undeniably good.

Good taste is what matters.

As Luo Rang said, their store doesn’t specialize in seafood barbecue, so any review is fine.

They discussed enthusiastically.

In the livestream room, the takeout hadn’t been delivered yet.

Fans listened to the streamers chatting about their past culinary experiences, becoming increasingly eager for the upcoming barbecue takeout evaluation.

Time ticked by.

The first fan spammed the screen, saying they’d also ordered a barbecue to align with the review and had already started eating it.

Slowly, more fans started to follow suit, eating their delivered barbecue while leaving comments in the livestream about the concerning delivery speed of these restaurants.

Gradually, the audience shifted from eager anticipation of the review to collectively demanding faster delivery.

Comments like ”Hurry up! Where’s the takeout?” filled the screen.

The frequency of tips also dropped.

This change of pace made the company’s leadership in the livestream room a bit anxious.

If this continues, and people start leaving, it would be disastrous.

Bo Ming’s studio, affiliated with a company, had leadership hold up cue cards asking the streamers: ”Three orders have been delivered now; shall we start the review right away?”

The leaders of Feng Xiaoxiao and Brother Hua’s management companies echoed the suggestion.

After all, the review involves tasting one restaurant at a time, and they can eat while waiting.

Nearly an hour had passed already, and the other restaurants’ orders were likely on their way, so there’s no need to waste all the time on waiting.

This is Bo Ming’s main event, and Feng Xiaoxiao and Brother Hua, being guests, had to follow instructions.

But Bo Ming seemed to ignore the cue cards from the leaders and continued to chat casually about his travel experiences.

Feng Xiaoxiao and Brother Hua exchanged puzzled glances.

Brother Hua discreetly looked at his own management company’s leader.

The leader signaled him to be patient.

Reassured, Brother Hua thought to himself, since this livestream is Bo Ming’s event, all he needed to do was cooperate, and everything would be fine.

As for everything else, if Bo Ming wasn’t in a hurry, being an invited guest, he’d just follow instructions.

”Chef Fu, the livestream room is all about urging for the orders!”

Zhang Jinyu kept an eye on his phone screen, updating Fu Yu in real-time about the latest developments in the livestream room.

Fu Yu had already finished grilling the food in four flavors.

Knowing he had taken a large order, he delegated any further barbecue orders to Gu Yunwu’s side.

Fu Yu focused on his work, artfully plating the grilled seafood.

Compared to Four Seas Banquet, which only ordered one dish of grilled lamb spine, he had to grill a total of twenty-five seafood dishes, and time-wise, even if he tried to speed up, he was struggling.

If he couldn’t increase speed, he’d just focus more on the quality of the grilling.

In the livestream room, just as the company boss was getting anxious from Bo Ming’s lack of response, Bo Ming suddenly shifted to the topic of the review.

”We’ve actually tasted the signature dishes from these seven restaurants and have some initial impressions of their chefs’ skills and dish flavors,” said Bo Ming. ”Before we start the actual tasting, why don’t we have a pre-betting activity? Please leave a comment under the pinned promotional video on my public page. Share which restaurant you support more or which one you think will do better. We’ll have dedicated staff to tally them up, and all the fans who bet on the first-place restaurant will receive a fine gift as a reward!”

Feng Xiaoxiao: ”!”

Brother Hua: ”!”

Bo Ming’s company boss: Overjoyed!
