The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Jia Rundong almost slammed the table in anger!

”Nonsense! I just saw him in the front hall, he’s definitely not in the kitchen handling the pots!”

Gao Wenjing was stunned on the spot.

What’s going on with Fu Yu...

And Jia Rundong was infuriated by Fu Yu’s slick maneuvers!

He gritted his teeth and thought bitterly.

No way!

This kid is a complete troublemaker!

If I don’t teach him a lesson, no one will listen to me anymore!

Jia Rundong said to Gao Wenjing, ”Alright, you don’t need to deal with this. I will call him myself!”

Gao Wenjing indeed had other things to attend to, so he agreed and hung up the phone.

Jia Rundong picked up the phone and called Fu Yu.

This time it was picked up quickly.

Fu Yu’s voice came through the receiver, ”Hello?”

Jia Rundong frowned, he really hadn’t saved his contact info!

”Fu Yu, it’s Jia Rundong.”

Fu Yu was a little surprised, ”Oh! Manager Jia, hello.”

Jia Rundong took a deep breath and said, ”Fu Yu, I need you to come to my office right now, I have something to discuss with you!”

Fu Yu replied, ”But, Manager Jia, I just finished my work and I’m eating now. Later I have to prepare the ingredients for the evening, I really have no time! How about I come to see you when I hand over later, okay?”

Jia Rundong got anxious hearing this, and said coldly, ”Do as you like!”

Fu Yu immediately said, ”Ah, alright, thank you so much!”

Jia Rundong was taken aback... Was Fu Yu kicked in the head by a mule?

Is that what he meant with his words?

For the first time in his life, Jia Rundong found himself at a loss for words.

He realized that his usual strategies had no effect on Fu Yu whatsoever.

This kid wasn’t afraid of him at all!

In the entire restaurant, who doesn’t treat him with respect and politeness?

Except for this Fu Yu!

No respect for authority!

Doesn’t follow orders!

Previously, he embarrassed him by disregarding his authority.

Now he’s even bolder!

Completely ignoring his words!

Obviously, he doesn’t take him seriously at all!

Fine!

Fu Yu, you’re really something!

You think you’re so great?

I want to see just how impressive you can be!

Jia Rundong turned and walked out, heading to the finance room.

With Xin Li on leave, Jia Rundong directly told cashier Su Hong, ”Xiaosu, for Fu Yu, let’s temporarily deduct half a month’s wages as a fine, and also print out a criticism notice. The content should be about Fu Yu leaving his post during work hours, leaving work without permission, having a poor work attitude... and revoke his year-end bonus.”

”Get it ready for my signature, and I want it announced at the next meeting!”

Su Hong looked surprised.

Isn’t this punishment a bit too harsh?

It was just one absence, does it warrant this?

Moreover, Fu Yu works in the kitchen, under Yao Shi.

As a front hall manager, shouldn’t you at least notify Yao Shi if you’re meddling in the kitchen’s affairs?

Su Hong was uncertain.

Especially since the accountant is on leave today, these matters are usually handled by Xin Li.

Plus, such issues need to be reported to Xin Li as well.

Earlier that morning, when Jia Rundong said he wanted to fine Fu Yu, Su Hong sent a message to Xin Li about it, but Xin Li never replied.

With no choice, Su Hong had to agree for now, and then she sent another message to Xin Li.

After all, Xin Li would eventually handle it, and her job was to pass on the message.

After sending the message, Su Hong couldn’t help but shake her head.

This Fu Yu is so unlucky, provoking Jia Rundong.

Everyone knows how troublesome Jia Rundong is!

If he gets fixated on you, you’re in for it!

Jia Rundong left the finance room and returned to his office.

He slammed the door shut behind him.

With a loud ”bang”!

Jia Rundong’s face was ashen!

I won’t believe it!

Can’t even discipline a newly regularized chef!

The money was fined.

The disciplinary action was issued.

But Jia Rundong still hadn’t vented his anger.

He walked around the desk twice, then picked up his phone and sent a group announcement in the store’s work chat.

[Notice

Backend staff member Fu Yu, on September 12th, 20XX, left his post during working hours, violating the store’s disciplinary regulations.

This establishment has consistently emphasized the importance of station discipline, but this employee has continually ignored the regulations and displayed a lax attitude towards discipline.

To prevent such occurrences, and according to the store’s work discipline regulations, it was decided after departmental leadership discussions to issue a notice of criticism towards backend staff member Fu Yu for his disciplinary infractions, and to fine him half a month’s wages as well as revoke his year-end bonus.

Let all employees take this as a warning! Strictly adhere to the store’s management regulations, or similar incidents in the future will be met with equally severe penalties! This serves as a notice!

Now, everyone in the store knew Fu Yu had been punished.

There was a lot of chatter.

”What happened to Chef Fu? I saw him clocking in yesterday, he didn’t leave, right?”

”Why’s the penalty for this absence so severe? Last time, Old Zhang from cleaning just got a verbal warning, I think?”

”Wow! Didn’t see this coming! Did he really piss off Manager Jia?”

”Piss him off? Jia’s always so nitpicky! Last month, I almost got a tardy because I ran into him, and he went on about my outfit not being tidy, held me up so I barely clocked in.”

...

Today, Feng Xiaoxiao took her team to the riverside morning market to shoot an episode of a store visit video.

For the sake of footage, she downed three bowls of lamb offal soup and two servings of tendon pancakes.

Having eaten too much in the morning, she didn’t feel hungry by noon and planned to just grab something light for dinner, but her best friend suddenly invited her to go shopping.

After they finished their manicures, they didn’t walk far before they passed by Qianlima.

Feng Xiaoxiao remembered the restaurant’s specialty dishes she had before and suddenly felt a bit hungry.

After a quick discussion, they realized this was the perfect time — not quite dinner, so it’d be less crowded. They placed their orders and waited for the dishes to arrive.

So they turned into Qianlima, were led to the ordering area by a waiter, and accompanied to pick out seafood by the order staff.

As a seasoned food anchor, and a frequent diner at Qianlima, Feng Xiaoxiao was well-versed in the restaurant’s specialty dishes.

”This season, you just have to eat mantis shrimp, crab, and yellow clams, they’re so rich!”

Feng Xiaoxiao picked seafood while explaining food knowledge to her friend.

This was part of her job; she was so used to critiquing food that she couldn’t help but comment whenever she saw something.

”Hey! Jiang Mo, did you see the group message?”

Jiang Mo had just returned from delivering an order to the kitchen when she heard someone call her and quickly turned her head.

”What message?”

”Chef Fu got disciplined by the restaurant!”

”Huh? What happened?”

As they talked, they stepped out from behind a pillar.

Seeing a customer present, they quickly fell silent.

Meanwhile, Feng Xiaoxiao, who was picking seafood, turned around curiously.

Chef Fu?
