The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

With time management skills in hand, I can cut down cooking time much more efficiently when taking orders in the future.

Starting next month, Fu Yu can earn commissions at the standard rate like Zhao Meng.

The more orders taken, the more money can naturally be earned.

Thinking of this, Fu Yu couldn’t help but feel a bit excited.

Let’s see how awesome this time management skill is when I go to work tomorrow!

The recent trending topic event has drawn attention from people all over to Qianlima and many have come just to dine there.

Some are purely curious about the chef Fu Yu whose culinary skills are said to be exceptional, wondering just how good he really is.

Others come to get to the bottom of things, trying to get first-hand info on how the situation is developing from the staff.

Quite a few online influencers even brought their teams over to do live streaming.

In no time, Qianlima was flooded with customers, business booming.

Whether in the front or the back of the restaurant, the staff were all bustling with activity, unable to handle the overflow.

Dong Jun Tian watched the endless flow of customers and the packed seats, grinning from ear to ear all day long.

The successful marketing of Qianlima quickly caught the industry’s attention as well.

From close friends to restaurant owners who had crossed paths with Dong Jun Tian, everyone started to get in touch with him.

Most would call to inquire about the specifics of the situation.

After all, Qianlima is a famous old brand in Bei’an, considered quite influential in the culinary world.

Currently, there’s a lot of attention because front desk manager Jia Rundong was disciplined for neglecting duties.

But more people were curious about the chef who managed to bring down Jia Rundong.

Who exactly is this chef Fu Yu who refused Jia Rundong’s request for queue jumping for acquaintances?!

Everyone knows Jia Rundong’s situation well; he’s essentially the manager of Qianlima and usually holds a lot of sway in the restaurant.

But now he’s been toppled by a chef, and looking at the situation, it’s clear he won’t be working openly at the restaurant for a while.

When Wang Jingrui came to visit Dong Jun Tian this time, he was accompanied by Yang Wenqiang, the owner of Li’s Private Kitchen Hot Pot.

Yang Wenqiang and Wang Jingrui were college classmates, and later both ran their own successful restaurant businesses.

The two stayed in Dong Jun Tian’s office, not leaving in a hurry but instead calling Yao Shi over to chat together.

”Chef Yao, is this Fu Yu newly hired? Has he not been with you long?” Yang Wenqiang couldn’t help but ask.

Yao Shi smiled and said, ”He came last year, it’s almost been a year now.”

Yang Wenqiang nodded, ”Where did you find him? I heard his cooking is particularly good? Previously on the provincial TV show, weren’t the new modified dishes you launched all created by him?”

It’s not just Yang Wenqiang; anyone who heard the news and asked around could match the details.

They learned that the innovative new dishes promoted by Qianlima lately were all made by this chef named Fu Yu.

To be able to create and improve dishes, he must be a veteran.

After all, cooking isn’t like other industries; you need to first master your craft before starting to innovate and improve.

Going through such a process, this person should be at least around forty years old.

And the young chef mentioned in the trending topic was thought to be, at most, thirty-eight or thirty-nine, barely over forty, but in the culinary world, this age is already considered to be quite talented.

Yao Shi said, ”Yes, they’re all his creations, Xiaofu is very talented in this respect.”

Wang Jingrui turned to Dong Jun Tian and said, ”Hey, you! How do you keep finding such good people? First, it was our Chef Yao, now you’ve got this Chef Fu; with such impressive people in the kitchen, you might just become a leading figure in Bei’an’s culinary industry!”

Wang Jingrui has always admired Yao Shi, not only for his cooking skills but also for his character, both impeccable.

Though he had previously failed to recruit him, they gradually became friends, even developing a sense of mutual admiration.

When Yao Shi co-opened a musical restaurant, it was Wang Jingrui who helped close the deal for the property, so they have maintained a good private friendship.

However, they have a mutual understanding to keep this a secret from Dong Jun Tian.

If Dong Jun Tian were to find out, Wang Jingrui suspected he would have been taken off his friend’s list long ago.

Yang Wenqiang chimed in, ”Indeed, this Chef Fu is really something, isn’t he? How old is he? In his forties?”

Wang Jingrui replied, ”What forties?! Chef Fu is young!”

Yang Wenqiang laughed, ”Then he must be at least thirty-seven or thirty-eight, right?”

Wang Jingrui sighed, ”Not even thirty-seven or thirty-eight! I came over a month ago to help with the final assessment, and he wasn’t even officially hired then!”

This made Yang Wenqiang even more curious, ”How come? An experienced chef still needs to intern with you?”

Yao Shi realized Yang Wenqiang misunderstood, so he laughed and explained, ”Fu Yu just graduated from culinary school last year, he only became a full-time employee last month, he’s just in his early twenties this year.”

Yang Wenqiang was dumbfounded.

Only twenty years old!

This young!

Yang Wenqiang was extremely curious about Fu Yu and eager to meet this legendary prodigy.

”Can we take a look in the kitchen?”

Dong Jun Tian readily agreed, ”Sure, but it’s busy right now, so we might not be able to pull him aside to chat.”

Yang Wenqiang quickly replied, ”I just want to see him, I don’t know him, there’s nothing to chat about.”

Dong Jun Tian personally accompanied them to the kitchen.

Upon entering, Yang Wenqiang saw Fu Yu busy cooking.

The handsome young man, wearing Qianlima’s chef uniform, with short hair slightly damp with sweat, had striking dark eyes.

He looked genuinely dynamic, and despite wearing an unsightly light green floral apron, his sharp appearance couldn’t be hidden.

Especially watching his light, quick, fluid cooking motions, and his deft, agile wok handling, his basic culinary skills were clearly very solid.

The knowledgeable onlookers could all see the artistry in it.

Seeing Fu Yu cooking for the first time, Yang Wenqiang found it particularly pleasing to the eye.

Couldn’t help but softly exclaim, ”This is truly remarkable!”

However, his amazement came a bit early; Fu Yu’s subsequent moves were jaw-dropping.

Everyone watched intently as Fu Yu handled the wok.

Yao Shi had seen it many times before, but each time brought new surprises!

Especially during the final stir-fry, when Fu Yu flipped the wok, the clams practically formed a flat plane, tossed into the air, spinning freely, then landing neatly in the wok.

His exquisite wok-flipping skills left everyone stupefied!

”Absolutely incredible!”

”That flipping technique is unparalleled!”

”Wow!”

Listening to the exclamations of others, Yao Shi smiled contentedly.

It seemed he wasn’t the only one awestruck.

One had to admit that Fu Yu truly is a genius in the culinary field.

To have such seasoned techniques, without a dozen or twenty years of practice, how many could achieve it?
