The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

It was just past lunch hour in the afternoon, and the kitchen staff gathered together, eating while browsing the news.

The fact that something from their own restaurant had gone viral made everyone unusually excited.

As expected, by the morning, that trending topic had already been pushed to the 27th spot on the real-time hot list by netizens.

Everyone had something to say about it.

However, the main focus was on the issue of the righteous chef, Fu Yu, refusing to let a leader’s acquaintance cut the line and getting retaliated against.

The comments section was almost unanimously calling for support for righteous chef Fu Yu and to severely punish the self-serving, fair order-disrespecting front desk manager, Jia Rundong.

Sun Qingning felt quite relieved as he said softly, ”I took the chance to post several comments scolding Mrs. Jia when I went to the bathroom this morning...”

”But the number of comments being discussed has obviously stopped growing,” Zhang Jinyu said while scrolling through her phone, ”If this continues, it won’t be long before it’s pushed out by new news.”

They finished eating and were about to make another batch of prepared dishes during the lull with no customer orders when someone suddenly noticed that Qianlima Restaurant had issued an announcement.

It stated that the restaurant had immediately begun investigating the incident and would provide a fair and just explanation for everyone.

Once the official investigation announcement was released, netizens were instantly fired up again.

With sympathy and anger, everyone once again cursed Jia Rundong thoroughly.

Within half an hour, the trending topic rose to the 15th spot.

Zhao Meng shook his head and said, ”Jia Rundong has really lost out badly this time, playing too recklessly...”

After another hour, Qianlima’s PR successfully controlled the scene, steering public opinion towards punishing Jia Rundong and compensating Fu Yu.

By half-past three in the afternoon, Qianlima issued a statement.

[Statement regarding the ”familiar face cutting in line” incident:

Every customer is important and deserves the best service from us.

We apologize for the management oversight leading to this incident.

After investigation, the matter has been confirmed.

On September 9, 20XX, front desk manager Jia Rundong abused his position at work, violated restaurant rules, and tried exploiting his role to let a familiar face cut the line, retaliating when refused by chef Fu Yu.

This incident has had a very negative impact. After departmental leaders deliberated, a decision has been made to publicly criticize front desk manager Jia Rundong for his disciplinary breach and relocate him from his original post, suspending him from duty.

As for chef Fu Yu, who courageously stopped the violation, he will be rewarded 5,000 yuan and awarded a banner by the restaurant recognizing his righteous conduct.

We thank everyone for their attention and reminders.

For over a hundred years, Qianlima Restaurant has always prioritized customers, committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive, and attentive service, striving to live up to the esteemed reputation of a century-old brand.]

This statement instantly shifted the battleground for the masses, uniting them to push the hot topic up to the 11th position.

Taking advantage of this crucial moment, Qianlima released a National Day promotional message.

[To thank all the enthusiastic netizens for their attention, our restaurant is offering an Eleven Promotion reward.

Any orders placed before September 25th, along with today’s hot topic discussion screenshot, entitle customers to an 88% discount and a commemorative item from the restaurant. Attached are photos of various exquisite dishes.]

Amidst their victorious joy over this battle’s success, the netizens suddenly saw Qianlima Restaurant’s reward announcement.

Before their overly excited minds could clear up, a wave of food promotion photos swept them over.

Subsequently, many local netizens inexplicably placed banquet orders, though this is a later story.

For the whole day, except for Fu Yu, everyone took breaks to sneak a peek at trending news, talking with relish.

Jia Rundong didn’t have a good reputation in the restaurant, and this time he took quite a fall, with many enjoying his misfortune.

Once the restaurant’s official announcement came out, Zhao Meng also breathed a sigh of relief.

The matter was finally settled.

However, Zhao Meng had no opinion on the punishment for Jia Rundong.

Although Jia Rundong was not a likable person, his work ability was undeniable.

Zhao Meng didn’t believe Dong Jun Tian would really move him from his post.

Yao Shi held the same view.

He had originally planned to arrange the specific layout of the Eleven Promotion at the music restaurant that afternoon but was called to the office by Dong Jun Tian unexpectedly.

He couldn’t leave for the entire afternoon.

He watched as Dong Jun Tian performed various maneuvers to turn the originally disadvantageous situation around and even successfully conducted a wave of promotions amid the hype.

This whole smooth promotional technique left Yao Shi stunned.

He could hardly believe these were methods Dong Jun Tian could pull off.

And when the final wave of promotion truly attracted attention without rejection or backlash, the anxiety hanging over Dong Jun Tian all afternoon finally settled.

With the big issue resolved, the next step was handling the aftermath.

The reward for Fu Yu needed to be granted, and the banner should be quickly prepared. At the right time, they would let Fu Yu take a photo with the big prize check and banner, posting it online might ride another wave of hype.

Accidentally enlightened about new promotional methods by the head of the publicity department, Dong Jun Tian felt as if his energy pathways had all been cleared.

While handling the remaining affairs, he was no longer as flustered as before.

Looking at the completely dispirited Jia Rundong, Dong Jun Tian felt no sympathy or reluctance.

After all, in Dong Jun Tian’s view, daring to touch the restaurant’s interests was entirely unforgivable.

However, regardless of character, Jia Rundong’s individual capabilities were undoubtedly clear.

At least for so many years, there hadn’t been any issues when Dong Jun Tian entrusted the front desk staff management to him.

After a little thought, Dong Jun Tian made a decision.

”Old Jia, you won’t be holding the position of front desk manager for now.”

Upon hearing this, Jia Rundong took a deep breath, showing a slight bitter smile.

He knew he was truly out of favor this time.

Since last night, he had been in a state of tension and anxiety.

Just like a tenant waiting for a second shoe to fall, from the moment the first shoe was thrown, he had been waiting all day and night, and now the second shoe finally dropped.

He suddenly felt a sense of relief.

Just as he was about to say a few parting words and voluntarily resign,

Dong Jun Tian continued, ”Since it’s a suspension for investigation, you won’t need to hold a title temporarily.”

Jia Rundong: ”!”

Looking at Jia Rundong, Dong Jun Tian said, ”The work remains the same, but the necessary punishment is also unavoidable. You’re fined half a month’s salary and denied the year-end bonus and dividends.”

This punishment mirrored exactly the one Jia Rundong previously imposed on Fu Yu.

Dong Jun Tian asked, ”Do you have any comments regarding the restaurant’s punishment?”

Jia Rundong secretly breathed a sigh of relief. This result had already exceeded his expectations.

He quickly shook his head, ”No comments.”

Dong Jun Tian happily concluded, ”Alright then, I’ll have finance put the punishment notice in the work group. As for your work attitude in the future, if you can’t adjust it, it won’t simply be a suspension.”

Jia Rundong solemnly promised, ”Boss, rest assured, I will definitely be stricter with myself in the future.”

Waving his hand, Dong Jun Tian said, ”Alright, get back to work.”

After speaking, he remembered something and stopped Jia Rundong again, ”Old Jia, contact someone to make a banner immediately and also arrange the Eleven Promotion activities...”

Seeing nothing more to handle,

Yao Shi, unconcerned, stood up and, without even glancing at the two of them, opened the door and walked straight out.
