The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

The lecture, initially scheduled for an hour and a half, was delivered by Jiang An for nearly two hours.

Throughout the lecture, he did not limit himself to a single perspective.

Instead, he unfolded layers from multiple dimensions, ranging from receiving the report, on-site investigation, corpse examination, interviews, undercover searches, to case diagnosis and analysis.

One could say that in this lecture, Jiang An withheld nothing, thoroughly dissecting the entire process of a homicide case from its occurrence to resolution.

Despite the lecture exceeding its anticipated length, the attendees remained fully focused, with almost everyone taking notes, their notebooks filled densely with key points and insights.

It’s important to note that in internal training, lectures combining technical depth and practical insight are rarely seen.

Many courses, despite their impressive titles, often skim the surface, focusing more on theory with little practical guidance, leaving the audience unsatisfied.

It’s similar to those who long term research theory, who might not cope with complex and changing real-world environments.

While those officers often directly involved in case resolutions may not be able to systematically extract logical theoretical methods.

The uniqueness of Jiang An lies in his organic integration of theoretical heights and practical experience.

It enables attendees not only to understand but also to apply. The entire lecture was profound yet accessible, clear in logic, and refreshing, leaving everyone with ample rewards.

At 11:50 AM, as the last page of the PPT unfolded, Jiang An humbly said, ”Dear leaders and colleagues, this concludes the content I wish to share today.”

”Please feel free to criticize or correct any inaccuracies or shortcomings.”

”Additionally, I warmly welcome criminal investigation colleagues from across the province to visit Jiangcheng for work guidance, mutual learning, and collective progress.”

As soon as he finished speaking, enthusiastic and prolonged applause erupted simultaneously from the main and the video sub-conference halls.

The faces of the attendees were filled with lingering joy, and the applause echoed for a long time, subsiding slowly only at Director Hou’s cue.

Director Hou then spoke: ”What Mr. Jiang shared just now about the ’skills and tactics’ in case resolution not only holds theoretical depth but also practical breadth, embodying strong methodological guidance.”

”This method provides a viable path for case strikes and resolutions in our criminal investigation work, further pointing out directions for expanding case-solving thinking.”

”As I was sitting below with other leaders listening to the lecture, I can say my personal gains are significant.”

”In some sense, this was a splendid course that truly integrates theory with practice.”

”Previously, it was often heard that Jiangcheng’s criminal investigation work was far ahead; today, I genuinely witnessed the master style behind such achievements.”

After a brief pause, Director Hou glanced at his wristwatch and continued: ”Next, we’ll hand over the time to everyone.”

”If you have any questions or ideas about the content just presented, feel free to engage through on-site questioning or video call-ins.”

”However, as the time approaches noon, we’re allowing half an hour for interactive sessions, aiming to conclude this lecture by 12:30.”

Upon saying this, video call-in requests from various police bureaus flooded in like tides, the notification sounds coming incessantly.

Director Hou gazed at the screen as the incoming requests refreshed, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

Notably, in the past, questioning sessions often were just formalities, systematically going through the motions, rarely seeing such enthusiastic participation from various cities.

But this time, not only was the response rapid, but the number of call-in requests surged in a short time, with nearly fifteen cities connecting simultaneously, impatiently waiting to speak.

Facing this unprecedented enthusiastic scene, Director Hou couldn’t help but smile slightly, gesturing, ”Thank you for your active participation.”

”Since many units wish to exchange ideas, we will follow the access sequence, one by one.”

Saying this, he skillfully operated the control panel, connecting the first call-in request, then turned to Jiang An beside him, indicating for him to take the call.

As the call connected, the voice coming from the speaker echoed clearly across every corner of the main hall.

At that moment, whether the leaders on the podium or those attending below, everyone held their breath, attentively listening to the voice from afar.

”Hello Mr. Jiang! We are Qin Feng, the Criminal Investigation Squad Leader from Qinzhou City Public Security Bureau.”

”Having just heard your lecture on the application of modern criminal investigation technology, I must say it was highly beneficial, especially appreciating your unreserved sharing of experience.”

”However, our primary reason for this call is not to ask questions but to earnestly invite you to visit Qinzhou at your convenience, to guide the resolution of a major case.”

This unexpected request stirred a slight commotion within the hall.

Upon hearing this, Director Hou’s face displayed a meaningful smile as he took over, ”Captain Qin, your ’question’ is really creative.”

”Others are asking for guidance, but you’ve directly attempted to bring our Mr. Jiang to the frontline, aiming to open a special alley!”

These words elicited a knowing laughter from the audience, instantly enlivening the atmosphere.

Upon hearing Director Hou’s teasing, Qin Feng, the Criminal Investigation Squad Leader from Qinzhou, hurriedly explained: ”Director Hou, you jest.”

”The case is indeed particularly complex — the case file alone is nearly a meter high.”
