Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 589: Birthday Celebration

The grand hall of the Tower in Nexus Domain was filled with a warm atmosphere.

His parents, Anderson and Angela, had gone all out for this occasion, preparing an enormous banquet that stretched across several long tables. Delicious aromas of roasted meats, fresh pastries, and exotic cosmic fruits filled the air.

Guests continued arriving from every direction, filling the Nexus Domain with laughter and conversation.

”Make sure the plates are full over there!” Anderson called out with a wide, proud smile, directing a few servant automatons toward the God tables.

Kaelith stood near the central fountain, swirling a glass of sparkling nectar. He was deep in a relaxed conversation with Alan. ”I must say, seeing this much peace in one room is a rare luxury,”

Kaelith chuckled, raising his glass.

Alan nodded in agreement, a soft smile on his face. ”Indeed. It is all thanks to the master’s efforts.”

Not far away, Little Hong was happily stuffing her cheeks with an assortment of colorful sweets.

Julie sat beside her, laughing brightly as she tried to teach her how to play a modern Earth board game, drawing a crowd of curious gods who watched the simple game with profound fascination.

While everyone was waiting downstairs, Grey remained alone in his room.

He stood before the tall mirror and quietly looked at his reflection.

Today marked his eighteenth birthday.

A full year had passed.

Grey let out a soft sigh as a wave of nostalgia washed over him. He recalled exactly how everything began. Just one year ago, he had crossed over to a tiny, insignificant planet called Blue Star. Back then, he was just an ordinary nobody. He had no latent talent, no special physique, and no grand destiny.

Then came the awakening of the Chaos Lotus.

That single, miraculous moment completely changed his fate.

Since then, his life had been a nonstop blur of progression. He had continued comprehending countless universal Laws. He had created unimaginable techniques that defied the heavens. He met precious companions who stood by his side through thick and thin. He built an entire planet from the ground up and protected those he cared about from ancient threats.

He had climbed from a fragile, ordinary mortal to a terrifying existence standing at the peak of the Eighth Rank.

He smiled to himself, adjusting the collar of his suit.

If someone from his old world heard this ridiculous story, they would never believe a single word of it. It sounded like a fantasy novel, yet it was his reality.

Just then, a soft knock echoed through the room.

”Come in,” Grey called out, opening the door.

Standing outside were Valeria, Lia, and Alissa.

Grey was briefly stunned by the sight.

Valeria wore a stunning crimson dress that perfectly accentuated her confident posture, paired with a delicate ruby necklace. Lia stood beside her in an elegant, flowing silver gown, her hair styled beautifully with small diamond clips that shimmered like stars.

Alissa wore a beautiful, delicate blue dress that matched her eyes, complete with refined silver jewelry that rested gracefully against her skin.

They all looked breathtaking.

They smiled softly upon seeing his reaction.

”Happy Birthday, Grey,” the three spoke in perfect unison.

Valeria was the first to step forward. She confidently wrapped her arms around his neck and placed a firm, lingering kiss on his cheek. She pulled back with a playful smirk.

Lia followed right after. She stepped close and gave him a warm, deeply affectionate kiss on the lips, her eyes filled with love. ”I wish you happy birthday, Hubby. Thank you for everything.”

Alissa however remained frozen behind them.

She looked incredibly embarrassed. She actively avoided Grey’s eyes, staring intently at the floor as she nervously fidgeted with her fingers. Her face became redder with every passing second as if thinkin about something.

Grey noticed her panic. With a teasing smile, he tilted his head.

”Hm? Aren’t I getting a birthday kiss from you too, Alissa?”

Alissa immediately flustered. She pouted, her cheeks puffing out slightly.

”Hmph...”

After gathering her courage for a few long seconds, she slowly walked over. She closed her eyes tightly, leaned in, and gave Grey a very quick, gentle kiss on the lips before immediately looking away.

”Happy birthday...” her voice was barely above a whisper.

She looked as though she sincerely wished she could use World Breaking Source Power to disappear from embarrassment.

Valeria and Lia chuckled softly after seeing her adorable reaction. Grey simply laughed, his heart feeling incredibly full.

Valeria clapped her hands together, breaking the moment.

”Alright, birthday boy. It is time to cut the cake.”

Before Grey could even utter a word of protest, Valeria and Lia each grabbed one of his arms and happily dragged him out the door and down the stairs. Alissa quietly followed behind them, her face still flushed a deep shade of pink.

As Grey entered the banquet hall, the room erupted.

Everyone cheered loudly. Applause filled the grand room, echoing off the high ceilings. The atmosphere was a genuine, heartwarming family celebration.

Grey was guided to the center of the room, standing before a massive, beautifully decorated cake. He looked around at the smiling faces of his family, his friends, and the gods.

He cleared his throat and gave a short speech.

”Thank you, everyone. Thank you all for being here today to celebrate with me,” Grey began, his voice steady and sincere.

He turned his gaze toward his parents. ”I specifically want to thank my father and mother. Thank you for raising me, for always supporting me, and for giving me a place to call home.”

Anderson wiped a small tear from his eye, while Angela beamed with pride.

Grey then looked at his sister. ”Thank you, Julie, for always being there for me as my little sister, even when I was busy or causing trouble.”

Julie nodded with a blank look on her cute face.

”And last but not least my girlfriends.” He turned to the girls and smiled. ”Your existence is what keeps me going daily.”

Finally, Grey looked at the rest of the crowd. ”And to all of my friends that came here today. Thank you for coming.”

The room erupted into another round of loud applause.

Grey smiled and cut the birthday cake.

The celebration continued with renewed energy. Grey spent the next few hours simply enjoying his life.

He chatted with his family about ordinary things. He talked with his friends, joking about their past.

He laughed with the Gods, who shared embarrassing stories from their ancient pasts.

He shared lighthearted, peaceful moments with everyone present. The overall mood was incredibly warm, devoid of any threats.

During this time, Joestar also came to visit with a few others from the Helios.

Eventually, night fell over the Nexus Domain.

The grand celebration came to a peaceful end as the guests slowly retreated to their respective quarters.

Grey returned to his quiet room. He took off his suit jacket, tossed it onto a chair, and stretched his arms wide, letting out a satisfied breath. He smiled to himself in the quiet room.

”I did not make any progress today...” he murmured softly.

”But...”

”It was worth it.”

Just then, a soft sound broke the silence.

Click.

Just then, his bedroom door slowly opened.

Valeria, Lia, and Alissa quietly stepped inside. All three of them had slightly flushed faces from drinking a little too much during the celebration.

Grey blinked in genuine confusion.

”...What are you three doing here?”

Valeria locked the door behind them and grinned mischievously.

”What else would we be doing?”

She laughed softly before walking over, wrapping her arms around him, and giving him a deep, affectionate kiss.

Lia smiled warmly, her eyes heavy with affection, and stepped forward to join them, resting her hand gently against his chest.

Alissa immediately turned bright red again.

She hesitated near the doorway for a brief moment, her fingers twisting the fabric of her dress, before shyly stepping inside after the others.

Grey looked between the three of them, completely puzzled by what they seemed to have planned for the rest of his birthday night.

Valeria and Lia exchanged amused, knowing glances, while Alissa struggled to hide her overwhelming embarrassment.

Grey could only stand there with a bewildered expression as the warm lights of the bedroom slowly began to dim.
