Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 563: Gathering of the Myriad-Race Alliance Ancestors, 31 Ancestors of the Myriad Gate

The Yellow Ancestor initially came here to see if Grey could use his heavenly powers once more. However, given the state Grey was in right now, he might be helpful even without those specific powers. Perhaps he could assist by acting as a decoy?

They traveled through the Yellow Ancestor’s magnificent spatial powers. Within seconds, they arrived at the battlefield. It was a merged space, and surprisingly, Grey felt the presence of other planes of existence around this area.

”This place is...?”

”This is the ascension platform of our universe, connected to the lower planes of existence,” the Yellow Ancestor explained, pointing at a blinking light where tribulation energy continuously rained down. ”Beings from lower existences ascend into our world by touching upon this platform.”

”If our gathered intelligence is not wrong, ever since the Myriad Gates were revealed, ascenders are now given an option to choose which side of the universe to cross into.”

Grey was surprised upon hearing this.

”Then, why did the Origin Body evolvers choose this place as the battlefield?”

”This is a strategy plotted by their leaders. They know no new ascenders are joining their ranks. But if they fight a war here, the events that transpire will eventually reach the lower realms through the connection between the planes of existence. This could encourage ascenders to join their ranks instead. Information flows freely between realms thanks to the information layer.”

”Hm.” Grey’s lips twitched.

These people sure thought in different ways, did they not?

”Is there another ascension platform, Yellow Ancestor?” Grey asked curiously.

”Yes,” the Yellow Ancestor replied. ”It is in the eighth layer of space, hidden away very deeply. It is completely eroded by chaos miasma, and navigating through it is incredibly hard. But if you come across it, chances are you will not return to this universe. By then, you will naturally have an option to ascend from the tenth plane of existence we are in right now to a higher eleventh or twelfth plane.”

”It is usually the eleventh for eighth rankers and the twelfth for ninth rankers.”

”Oh.” Grey nodded.

This was quite informative.

But now, it was time to focus on the battlefield.

The battlefield was filled with multiple Alien Alliance spaceships.

Of course, the Crystal Zerg race was not present. They were the natural enemies of humans, demi-humans, and elves alike.

Far away, Grey could sense the presence of several eighth rankers.

Some were as strong as the Yellow Ancestor and Kaelith. They both were at the peak of the eighth rank, just one step away from the ninth rank.

”Let us go meet the others,” the Yellow Ancestor spoke.

They soon arrived in front of the other ancestors.

The Silver-Moon Ancestor (the Yellow Ancestor’s wife), the Crimson Ancestor, the Void-Severing Ancestor, and the Thousand-Lotus Ancestor were all here.

”Yellow Ancestor. Why did you bring this kid over here?” The Void-Severing Ancestor had a dumbfounded look on his face.

He knew Grey was strong, but what could the boy do by being here with them?

They were not facing seventh rankers, but genuine eighth rankers who had control over the space-time of this universe.

Just before the Yellow Ancestor could reply, a booming voice echoed across the void.

”You people of the other side. Just merge with us and follow our Origin Body Evolutionary path. Why must we people of the same universe fight amongst ourselves?”

From the depths of the nearby galaxies, several stars shot up into outer space.

They all unleashed their powers, which began to overpower the entire battlefield.

There were thirty-one of them, and surprisingly enough, they were all eighth rankers.

Just then, the Spirit Elf Ancestor arrived, bringing with him the High Elf Ancestor, the White Elf Ancestor, the Dark Elf Ancestor, and the Blood Elf Ancestor.

The ancestors of the Dwarf race and the Werewolves also appeared one by one.

Following behind them was a massive celestial body made entirely of cosmic water.

Out of it, terrifying beings emerged. These were none other than the Sea Race ancestors.

But even with all of them present, their numbers still fell short of the opposing eighth rank ancestors.

”How are they mass-producing these ancestors? Do they have a machine?” the Spirit Elf Ancestor could not help but curse as he eyed the enemy line.

The others silently agreed with him.

Just as quickly, he spotted Grey.

”What are you doing here, Saint Grey?”

Grey immediately caught the attention of every ancestor.

They all recognized him.

He was the so-called saint who managed to reach the fifth rank in just a year’s time.

They felt it was too nonsensical to believe. And as of right now, Grey gave off no fluctuation of power.

Then, they all heard Grey speak up.

”I am just here to test out my full capabilities,” Grey replied with a smile.

Everyone except the Yellow Ancestor looked at Grey in profound confusion.

Against whom?

The eighth rankers?

The following moment, amidst everyone’s shock and confusion, Grey stepped forward.

”Do you have a death wish?” a Sea Clan ancestor shouted in disbelief.

However, just as he said that, he froze.

Grey’s soundwave ring-like halo erupted above his head, and boundless Axiom power surged from his body.

All the ancestors froze in shock when they felt the crushing pressure, especially after realizing what genetic lock Grey was in.

Kaelith and the Yellow Ancestor, in particular, were now more certain of Grey’s true combat power.

The following moment, the booming enemy voice echoed once again.

”Huh? What is this? A kid? Are you kidding me? Why is there a kid at the sixth rank on the battlefield? Does the Myriad-Race Alliance take us for a joke?!”

”Did they lose their sanity after seeing our sheer numbers?”

”Do not worry, friend,” Grey grinned. ”I am just here to test out my full capabilities.”

As he spoke, several dark cracks formed in the void behind him.

They twisted and turned as the surrounding space began to heat up drastically.

Ancient devilish chants erupted from the portal behind Grey. Out of it, an obsidian being that looked terrifying and the size of several stars emerged, followed by another.

”H-huh?!” The Yellow Ancestor let out a yelp in shock.

So did the other ancestors.

”Is that an eighth-ranking devil from Hell?!” the Spirit Elf Ancestor shouted.

However, what truly terrified them was that it was not the end of it...

After the first devil, another one emerged. Following that, even more began pouring out of the portal like a dark tsunami.

The battlefield heated up to the point where the space around them began burning.

Ten... twenty... fifty... one hundred!

One hundred eighth-ranking devils descended onto the mortal planes with their boundless might in full display.

The following moment, Grey waved his hand, and the devils began transforming. Golden-purple wings emerged from their backs as a Nexus frequential wave-like halo formed above their heads.

A massive spear appeared in each of their hands as they began producing pure Axiom power from their halos.
