Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 557: Fate Race, The Compilation Error that the Chaos Lotus cannot find

He thought of three possibilities.

One, Bai Yue was kidnapped by a Paragon.

Two, Bai Yue herself was a Paragon.

After all, her eye abilities were unseen and unnatural. They were something he had never seen on anyone else but himself.

His fate insight that allowed him to see the threads of fate was similar. But that was actually part of his Fateless One physique. Bai Yue’s power to perceive fate perhaps surpassed even his own, Azathoth’s, or Tian Yuan’s.

This was why he leaned more towards the second possibility.

But then there was also a third possibility.

Maybe the World Tree mistook the ascendancy power, and there were races like the Chaos Race or the Mecha Race with fate-related abilities.

Out of curiosity, he decided to ask the World Tree.

”Hm? A race with fate-related powers?”

”I do not know of any,” the World Tree replied.

However, that was when Finality spoke up.

”There is one,” it spoke. ”They are called the Fate Race. They are born out of something known as a Holy Grail in the Ascendancy Domain and possess mystic powers and control over fate.”

”The ability you have in mind matches the Fate Race.”

”The Fate Race? Could it be them who abducted Bai Yue?”

”Where do I find this Fate Race, Finality?” Grey asked with a serious look on his face.

”I think I have seen their traces,” Finality spoke. ”They even tried to use my power once.”

”It must be those fellows who descended here via reincarnation for the core.”

”Via reincarnation, huh?” Grey let the detail sink in.

That was new.

”Does that mean the Mecha Race also reincarnated?”

”Well, a few,” Finality explained. ”They were one of the many that arrived in this world from the domain. As a result, they naturally spread, and the Mecha Race’s ability to spread is terrifyingly strong. Now you have a renewed race you will find out in the void.”

”Hm.” Grey nodded.

This information was useful to him. He could use it.

With that said, he did not think it was necessary to inform the others about her disappearance.

The chances of Bai Yue being taken by the Fate Race were substantial, or it might be she was a Paragon or a clone of a Paragon.

Whatever the case, such terrifying existences tied to fate would easily be able to see through those who were aware of their existence. Hence, keeping it a secret was the best decision.

He went back to the main tower with Jasmine, where he gave her a room to stay. At the same time, he also scanned a copy of her structural data.

He had an idea. Since he had promised to help Alissa comprehend the Myriad Law of Chaos, he could research the Future One physique and then help her cultivate the law.

It would be interesting. Now that he knew the requirements to be a Future One and how to awaken it, he wanted to see what results Alissa could achieve with it.

He went back to his room and began analyzing Jasmine’s structural data.

The Future One physique was obstructed by many layers of Jasmine’s structure. It was deeply rooted within her, existing as scattered fragments across her structural data.

”It is partitioned like this so no other being can comprehend this power and reverse engineer it.”

Unfortunately for the creator, he possessed the Sovereign Ontological Technique, which allowed him to convert data into frequency.

”I wonder where it originates from.”

The fact that it had a name meant someone made this technique. A being like Grey who could convert data into frequency.

Would this being not also be able to analyze things like the Future One physique and claim it for themselves?

The overall process of finding the scattered bits was demanding. But in the end, he managed to compile them together.

His entire existence was designed to tackle complex tasks like this, after all. He had a heaven-defying comprehension, so he naturally needed incredible processing power to match it.

With that done, he analyzed the data.

If he theoretically transmitted this data into Alissa, she should essentially be able to form the physique.

But at the same time, his calculations stopped because an error had occurred.

While cross-checking the bits of the Future One physique in the structural data against the one he compiled, he noticed something.

”It is incomplete?” Grey was baffled.

How was that possible? He compiled the bits flawlessly as they were, and the program he executed even confirmed it after cross-checking. Yet, it still somehow emerged as incomplete.

It was complete yet incomplete at the same time, stuck at ninety-nine percent.

”As expected, this physique is not as simple as copying and pasting it onto another layer. There is a driving force behind it. This compiled data I generated is missing it.”

And what was even more jarring was the fact that even his comprehension could not sense the last piece of the puzzle.

The driving force of the Future One physique.

It was hidden within this structural data, yet he could not find it. He was sure that even if he completely dismantled it, he would not be able to.

This was a systematic lock, or rather a prevention mechanism, against someone like Grey copying that driving force.

The person who forged this physique naturally put a lot of thought into it.

Perhaps its creator even knew about the Sovereign Ontological Technique to form event horizons.

”Impressive.” Grey unexpectedly let out a smile.

It had been a while since Grey had lost.

Even against a Paragon, he had emerged victorious.

But this just made him feel more excited.

If he could extract the driving force from this structural data, it would be his victory either way.

And he firmly believed he could do it.

He just had to run several complex processing cycles.

”But I can let Alissa use this physique and observe the results.”

One way or another, it was still ninety-nine percent complete. Meaning, it could technically be given to Alissa.

Whether the Myriad Law of Chaos would reject her or not depended on whether this partial integration worked.
