Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 570: Ji Gong’s and Chaos Emperor’s meeting, the similarities of Nirvana

To think a common elder like him could offer such profound help. Indeed, Grey realized he was still very young and lacked certain experiential wisdom that could only be acquired through the long passage of time.

He wasted no more time. He swiftly did what the ancestor proposed and began adjusting his Axiom power, allowing it to flow in the exact same intricate wavelength as the talisman.

Ting!

The Nexus Axiom power and the talisman’s ancient energy perfectly aligned, creating a harmonious resonance.

The huge talisman plastered above the body immediately disintegrated into golden dust. The following moment, the Holy Corpse dissolved entirely and shot straight into Grey’s body like a beam of pure light.

Grey’s vision immediately began glitching violently. The boundless power that had just entered his body fully assimilated into his newly transcended source.

At the exact same time, the Chaos Source Codex violently reacted.

His vision glitched into pure white as his senses overloaded from the sheer power of the Chaos Source Codex.

The next moment, a vivid vision began to unfold.

”Is this truly worth it, Monk Ji Gong?”

The ancient, echoing voice most likely belonged to the Chaos Emperor.

”Why sacrifice your own enlightenment for the sake of mere mortals?”

”Is that not what we are supposed to do?” Ji Gong chuckled warmly. ”I have achieved Nirvana, yet my purpose, and the purpose of others like me, is to guide the beings who have not yet been enlightened.”

”These bodies, they are fragments of my power. Once utilized, they can grant immense enlightenment regarding the Nirvana state.”

”Guiding someone to the righteous path does not require any ulterior motive.”

”That is the fundamental teaching of our Buddhist scripture. The Great Bodhisattva taught us that.”

”Now ask yourself, Chaos Emperor, what is your true purpose in life? The way I see it, the only reason you have not fully tapped into the Chaos State is because you lack a personal goal, aside from the rigid mission assigned to you.”

”Anyways, do you have any booze?”

The vision briefly cut out. When it returned, the Chaos Emperor seemed to be standing alone in a vast, dark space.

”I have finally understood my purpose, Monk Ji Gong.”

”That is to actively guide him and protect what truly matters.”

The vision violently cut off once more, plunging Grey back into reality.

Grey was left standing in a dark, isolated mental space with nothing but profound silence.

To think he would witness a direct flashback of Ji Gong and the Chaos Emperor’s ancient conversation. That was incredibly interesting.

But just then, a majestic golden light began pouring directly into Grey’s form.

Boom!

The golden light seeped into him and surged straight into his second spark. The second spark immediately lit up brilliantly, drastically increasing his frequential power.

However, it did not stop there.

Boom!

The third spark lit up just as quickly.

Then, the fourth.

The fifth...

And it finally reached the sixth.

Grey’s power just kept on exponentially increasing. However, just before it broke through the ultimate genetic barrier, Grey forcefully suppressed and halted the advancement.

”I managed to reach the absolute peak of the sixth rank?” Grey was pleasantly surprised.

This was beyond his expectations.

The Enlightened Body was even more powerful than he had originally thought.

But the surprises did not stop there.

A profound golden power entered his frequential body. The instant it merged with him, his mind fell into a deep, inescapable trance.

If he was not mistaken, this was the pure, conceptual power of the Nirvana state.

His Chaos Lotus stirred actively in response to the overwhelming presence of the Nirvana state.

The lifelong experiences and accumulated wisdom of Ji Gong were flawlessly transmitted directly into his mind.

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing the Nirvana state, you have gained comprehension over it!]

However, as the enlightenment flooded his senses, Grey’s expression began changing at an alarming rate.

”This power...?” Grey’s source practically skipped a beat in sheer disbelief

And The Axiom power that he possessed began to move and tremble, as if forming a perfect resonance with the Nirvana state.

”No way.” Grey was utterly baffled.

Standing perfectly still in the void, Grey had realized something incredibly crucial about the Nirvana state.

It made perfect sense why this power could surpass everything else. It made sense why this specific power could deal immense damage against a Paragon who utilized ascendancy power as their main source of attack.

It was because Axiom power was a power derived directly from a ”State.”

The Axiom power he possessed was a base version. It held no special attribute of transcendence like someone who had truly reached a state would possess.

But it made a lot of sense. What he had essentially done here was merge his soul and his source.

Others spent countless years comprehending a special state just to do the exact same thing and achieve this same power. Making your source of power and your soul flow in the exact same resonance was impossible through normal means.

This enlightened State was precisely for that purpose, and this very state was the absolute key to the Ascendancy Domain!

This finding was so incredible that he was left speechless.

Did that not mean he had basically reverse-engineered a State, albeit a lesser version of it?

Did that not mean there was a genuine possibility where he could form a State of his very own and make it function?

Tian Yuan who was observing grey in the outside world frowned and then his face also twisted into pure disbelief when he felt a resonance form from within him.

”It’s true.” His face was completely ugly as several thoughts raced in his mind.

How did Grey get his hands on this power.

Was forming a state power that easy?!
