Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1584: Chapter 1584: The Young Rabbit Has Quite a Few Tricks

”Secretary Zhang! What have you been doing these past few days? Didn’t I ask you to keep an eye on the vegetable company? How come everything there is booming? You haven’t given me any updates at all?” Guan Qing was furious.

”I’ve been running around with you all this time, haven’t I? I don’t even know what’s going on over there! Besides, you never really told me to keep an eye on them!” Secretary Zhang felt wronged.

When the boss is in a bad mood, the first thing he does is take it out on the secretary! He has always been Guan Qing’s punching bag and never complained.

But now, he felt like he might not be able to stay by Guan Qing’s side for long, suddenly feeling rebellious.

Guan Qing has always scolded Secretary Zhang, who never dared to talk back.

Usually, he’s as sweet as honey, calming her down and advising her not to get angry, but today he suddenly seemed like a different person.

”What? You want to revolt??” Guan Qing glared at Secretary Zhang and said harshly, ”Secretary Zhang, you should never forget your identity and your duties!”

”I haven’t forgotten my role; because I haven’t, I’ve been diligently working by your side, serving you! You really never mentioned that matter to me! As for this situation, it’s not too late to mend. You see, Guan Ping has been wholesaling vegetables at extremely low prices. When I went to sign the contract, I even asked about the prices! I know the bottom line cost of these vegetables.

How many people have been attracted to buy vegetables because of An Ping’s price reductions? Every vendor in town is happy! Their prices are low, which means yours are high, and you won’t be able to sell them! If you want to sell, you must lower your prices! Lowering prices means you’ll lose money! But if you don’t sell at a loss, you can only wait for a final clearance.”

Secretary Zhang rattled off a slew of words and then said to Guan Qing: ”Boss, what you should be considering now is how to avoid losing money, not scolding me here!”

”How long can his vegetables last?” She knew exactly how much was stored in An Ping’s warehouse.

”They won’t last long, but he’s dragging it out! Dragging it until your vegetables aren’t fresh anymore! By then, you really have to take a loss,” Secretary Zhang said.

Guan Qing narrowed her eyes and cursed bitterly, ”This little bastard has quite a few tricks up his sleeve! Now I know why he insists on paying five days later! This kid is forcing me to lose money!”

”Yes! So, you really need to think of a solution now! These vegetables can’t last long!”

”Well, since that’s the case! Let’s reduce the price while the vegetables are still relatively fresh! How much is An Ping selling?” Guan Qing asked.

”I don’t know! Haven’t I been with you all this time? Look, boss, I suggest you personally check out the competitor’s sales situation and then look at our financial status before deciding how much to price these vegetables?” Secretary Zhang suggested.

”Let’s go, let’s do it now!”

.........

After Guan Qing visited the site, she came back almost spitting blood.

An Ping, under someone wise’s guidance, kept lowering the prices and continually selling the vegetables.

Seeing the low prices, all the vendors rushed to stock up on vegetables.
