Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1555: Chapter 1555: You’re Thinking Too Much

”You’re sure you’re not joking? I’m a cardiologist, and you want me to treat someone’s ankle?” Yan Ye was naturally unwilling.

Specialization is key in this profession, and even if it was something he could do, he wouldn’t.

The hospital clearly had orthopedic doctors and general surgeons, how could he overstep his boundaries like this? Moreover, he simply didn’t believe An Hao would make such a request.

At first glance, it was obvious that this young man here was the one causing trouble.

Although, at the moment, he was still unclear what this young man was scheming.

”Go, and you won’t regret it. An Hao is waiting over there, please hurry!” Qin Jian kept urging him.

”Just this once! It won’t happen again!”

”Alright!”

Yan Ye, extremely dissatisfied, followed Qin Jian downstairs, and upon entering the ward, he saw Lin Qiushu sitting on a stool, with one bare foot swollen high, particularly at the ankle, where the bruise looked very painful.

”How about it? You’re satisfied with your patient, aren’t you?” Qin Jian looked at him proudly.

Yan Ye gave him a glare: ”You’re overthinking!”

”Not at all,” Qin Jian said with a smile, ”Didn’t I promise before to find you a woman worthy of you? This is also what your aunt and uncle want. They’ve entrusted your lifelong matter to my wife, and as a husband, I ought to help you out, and relieve my wife’s worries, right?”

”Childish!” Yan Ye gave Qin Jian a cool look, ”You were cuter when you were wrapped up like a zongzi mummy a while ago.”

”Sorry, I have nothing to do with the word cute. But I do know that if you keep stalling with me, in a moment, this lady in front of you won’t be cute anymore.” Qin Jian threw those words at him and pushed Yan Ye forward with a raise of his hand.

”What’s the matter? Director Yan seems quite reluctant to treat me?” Lin Qiushu had overheard their entire conversation, and she was particularly unhappy with Yan Ye’s attitude towards her.

Yan Ye ignored her words, lifted her foot, examined it carefully, and pressed it: ”This is just a soft tissue contusion, I’ll apply some ointment and that should be fine. Wait here for me.”

”Hmph.” Lin Qiushu snorted coldly.

Yan Ye went out to get the ointment, and as he passed by Qin Jian, he grabbed his arm and said in a low voice, ”Perform well!”

An Hao couldn’t help but want to laugh watching the expressions of these two.

The ointment arrived, and Yan Ye crouched down to apply it on Lin Qiushu’s ankle, gently massaging it to help it absorb.

Lin Qiushu stared at his slender and beautiful fingers, feeling the light and appropriate pressure as he rubbed her skin, and that sensation was quite peculiar, like a feather teasing across the heart, neither quite ticklish nor numbing...

However, she rather enjoyed this sensation.

Realizing what she was thinking, Lin Qiushu’s face suddenly turned red, blossoming with two vivid peach flowers on her cheeks.

”How did this ankle injury happen? Did you twist it while walking?” Yan Ye asked.

”No,” Lin Qiushu shook her head, ”It got injured during a fight.”

Yan Ye suddenly looked up: ”You fight?”

”What? You look down on me? Who said I can’t fight?” Lin Qiushu lifted her chin defiantly, looking at Yan Ye.

”I mean, how are you so fierce?” Yan Ye said quietly.

”I... Director Yan, I think we’re just destined to clash, really not meant to be under the same roof! I can’t get along with you at all! Is my foot better? If it is, then I’m leaving!” Lin Qiushu, agitated, attempted to stand up.
