Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1574: Chapter 1574: Open Just for You Alone

”This isn’t your fault. You don’t need to blame yourself, nor should you carry such a heavy burden in your heart. Once this matter is resolved, I’ll get you a good teacher to properly instruct you.”

”Okay.” An Ping nodded his head, said goodbye to his sister and brother-in-law, and then left.

An Hao had basically grasped the situation by now; the company was facing even more severe circumstances than last time.

After comforting her brother, An Hao herself felt extremely upset, facing such a dilemma without knowing what to do.

She simply didn’t have any more money to spend, and time was pressing.

Such a headache!

”An Ping is still young after all.” Qin Jian sighed, ”You’ve been the one taking care of business before, and although he has made progress over the years, when compared to others, he is still quite green. He needs more experience.”

”I understand. Actually, I blame myself for this. Initially, I just felt that with An Ping and his friends starting a company, I was worried they wouldn’t cope if the company grew too large, so I only provided the most basic setup. In reality, I should have hired him a lawyer and assembled a professional team, letting him focus on making decisions.” An Hao was always blaming herself internally.

Qin Jian saw the pain and agony in his wife’s eyes and gently embraced her: ”This isn’t your fault. An Ping still needs to grow, you have to give him space. If you pave the entire road for him, it wouldn’t be right for him to just reap the benefits without any effort! Of course, An Ping has done pretty well these past two years, you have to let him continue to grow and learn. Who in business only profits without loss? So many have gone bankrupt before learning how to make money...”

”But this time I really... I am indeed a bit worried. Everything that could be sold has been sold...” An Hao said, biting her lip, ”I really don’t know what else to sell.”

”Don’t rush. You still have me.” Qin Jian hugged An Hao even tighter.

”Okay.” An Hao nodded, leaned her head against his chest, and slowly closed her eyes, ”Let me rely on you for a while, perhaps I’ll feel a bit better.”

”Don’t just talk about a while, this embrace is yours for a lifetime. It’s open only for you!” Qin Jian tightened his arms and hugged An Hao even more firmly.

Inside a private room at Nanguofeng Restaurant.

Guan Qing was hosting Hou Zicheng alone for a meal.

”Hmm, not bad! This taste is really good.” Hou Zicheng wiped his mouth with a napkin and set down his chopsticks, ”I’ve been all over the place these past years and have had my share of good food. But I must say, Nanguofeng’s dishes are genuinely authentic! This flavor, I’ll remember it for a lifetime!”

”That’s for sure.” Guan Qing proudly took a sip of red wine and slowly said, ”My chef is not someone just anyone can hire. The cooking is also very particular. Now things are different from the past, during the seventies and the early eighties, when people were poor and could barely eat or stay warm, and there were few wealthy individuals. With the economic reforms and opening up, the coastal areas have developed, and many have gone into business, creating a substantial wealthy population. As a result, the pursuit of quality of life has begun.

My restaurant doesn’t just cater to the ordinary masses; in the future, we aim to become a high-end establishment. Like the State Guesthouse Grand Hotel... that is my ultimate goal.”
