Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1576: Chapter 1576 There is Another Way

”Of course. No problem, just arrange a meeting with Commander He, and if we have the chance, we can talk more and let me persuade him as well!” Hou Zicheng said.

”Mm!” Guan Qing agreed, then thought for a moment, ”Mr. Hou, we have known each other for two years now, haven’t we? I have never seen you take a keen interest in anyone before. I just wanted to ask, Mr. Hou, what is it about Zhiyuan that caught your eye?”

Hou Zicheng laughed heartily: ”Then I should also ask Ms. Guan, what is it about Mr. He that caught your eye?”

”I...” Guan Qing smiled playfully, ”I’m different from you. My admiration for Hen Zhiyuan comes from a woman’s love for a man, it’s romance!”

”Well, my liking for Mr. He is purely because he caught my eye. Sometimes, liking someone doesn’t need a reason or explanation, right?” Hou Zicheng raised his glass and said.

”That’s true! For the sake of affinity, let’s toast!”

As An Hao had said, things that are meant to happen will always happen.

According to the delivery deadline in the contract, An Ping couldn’t provide the vegetables, which meant he was violating the contract, and as a result, he needed to pay a substantial penalty.

That day, Guan Qing, brimming with rage, arrived with her team at An Ping’s vegetable company. She sauntered into An Ping’s office, leaning back with her legs crossed, her expression dauntingly fierce.

An Ping also knew what was about to happen, and was not panicked at all.

Even if he were to panic, it wouldn’t help, as Guan Qing was deliberately seeking trouble and wouldn’t stop until she had achieved her goal.

As soon as Guan Qing entered the office, the company’s staff gathered around, crowding at the door to watch the situation unfold.

Everyone had heard that if this issue was not handled well, the company might go bankrupt. They were the workers; the company’s future was tied to their own futures. If the company went under and the boss bore losses, where would they find such well-paying jobs in the future?

”So Ms. Guan, you brought so many people over, are you getting ready for us to fight?” An Ping sat behind his desk, watching Guan Qing’s theatrics emotionlessly.

”It won’t come to a fight.” Guan Qing’s eyes angrily stared at An Ping, ”Didn’t I sign a contract with Mr. An before? What does the contract specify? How did Mr. An assure me then? Have you forgotten all about it now? Because you failed to deliver the vegetables, I lost a huge order. I had already bought and prepared the meat, poultry, and fish, all waiting for your vegetables. Where are your vegetables?”

”That’s something you should ask Ms. Guan, right?” An Ping stared right back at her, ”The pit Ms. Guan dug for me was not shallow at all!”

Guan Qing’s lips curved up slightly: ”I don’t understand what you are talking about! Whatever you say is useless, I have already suffered losses and I want to discuss compensation issues with Mr. An.”

”Okay.” An Ping agreed promptly.

”Double the price!” Guan Qing pulled out a document from her bag, ”Take a look for yourself, my losses are all on it, just compensate me double the amount listed.”

”I need time.” An Ping said.

”Okay. Three days.”

”Not enough, that’s too little time. One week!”

”No, that’s too long, I can’t wait.”

”Then how can I pay Ms. Guan if I don’t have enough money?”

Guan Qing slowly stood up, walked over to An Ping’s desk, leaned on it with both hands and smiled, ”Now you have one option left, if you can’t gather enough money, it doesn’t matter, you can mortgage your company to me! Then our accounts will be settled!”
