Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1090: Chapter 1090: The Harsh and Critical Woman

An Hao was a military doctor, and naturally, a soldier too.

Being prioritized in line was not unjustified.

But the girl behind her wouldn’t have it and angrily said, ”I’ve been waiting all morning, why hasn’t it been my turn yet? Just anyone can cut in line now? I’m also a family member of a soldier, why can’t they prioritize me too?”

”You’re not a soldier. These are the hospital rules, just tone it down a bit.”

”What are female soldiers good for? All flocking here to get pregnant.”

”Shanshan, stop talking nonsense.”

Hearing the noise behind her, An Hao turned to look back.

The man speaking was a young warrior, his shoulder epaulets bare without any military rank.

The woman making a scene behind him seemed quite young, even younger than An Hao herself.

With a melon-seed face and almond-shaped eyes, her features were quite regular. At first glance, she appeared to be a decent person, but her words were somewhat sharp and harsh.

At that moment, An Hao, finding it unpleasant to hear, was just about to reprimand her when the young warrior looked up and caught An Hao’s gaze.

Immediately, he started apologizing repeatedly, ”I’m sorry, big sister! I’m sorry, she doesn’t understand, please don’t be like her.”

Since the young warrior had already apologized, An Hao let it go, but the girl just ignored her without even giving her a glance.

The woman from the ultrasound room came out, and then went in with her number.

Handing her test form to the doctor, he looked at it and said, ”You just got pregnant a month ago, the sac is very small, have you held your urine long enough?”

”I’ve held it enough,” An Hao said while climbing onto the examination table to lie down.

She had held it more than enough; she was almost unable to hold it any longer.

After preparing, the doctor gently placed the transducer on her abdomen and softly told her, ”Don’t be nervous, it’s like this for everyone the first time being a mother.”

An Hao indeed was breathing somewhat rapidly; the last time she had still been a virgin.

Not to mention having children.

Now, as she lay on the table undergoing the examination, her emotions were indescribable.

Happy, excited, but more than anything, anxious.

The doctor skillfully operated the equipment, occasionally stopping, the transducer rolling around on An Hao’s belly.

An Hao, feeling that it had been a while, anxiously looked up at the doctor.

Seeing a strange expression on her face, An Hao nervously swallowed, ”What’s wrong? Is there a problem?”

The doctor gave her a comforting smile and handed her some tissue, ”Wipe off the gel on your belly. Don’t worry, you are carrying twins.”

”Twins?” An Hao was surprised, ”Two children?”

”Yes! Congratulations!” the doctor said, smiling.

”Thank you! Thank you!” An Hao, covering her wildly beating heart, walked out of the ultrasound room with a smile she couldn’t hide.

She took her test results back to the consulting room, where another female military doctor conducted further examinations on her.

”So far everything is fine, but since you are carrying twins, the children might need more nutrients later on. You shouldn’t overexert yourself, ensure nutritional intake, and rest a lot!”

The doctor advised An Hao on the precautions and prescribed some supplements for blood and vitamins, which she was to take for a while.

Leaving the consulting room, An Hao went to the restroom to empty her bladder, after which she felt much more comfortable.

Zhang Yun came back from shopping, saw An Hao had already come out, and quickly approached to ask.

”How did it go? What did the doctor say about the children?”

An Hao smiled and nodded, handing the ultrasound report to Zhang Yun, ”Mom, take a look yourself.”

Zhang Yun, taking the report, was so excited she almost fainted, ”Twins! It’s actually twins!”
