Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1077: Chapter 1077: She Was Sold

An Hao indeed couldn’t hold on any longer and quickly cleared the way.

Yan Ye swiftly took over, commanding the nurses with calm, ”Establish two intravenous lines, inject adrenaline...”

An Hao stood aside, the voices near her clear one moment and distant the next.

Once the patient’s emergency treatment was complete and fluid infusion was underway, Yan Ye called all the doctors out for a meeting in the physicians’ lounge.

”What happened just now? This patient’s vital signs are currently stable, and they were under conservative treatment while awaiting surgery, which should not have led to the earlier condition. Why did this happen?” Yan Ye asked with a gloomy face.

The nurse explained, ”This boy is very stubborn. No matter what we say, he just refuses to be infused! He even curses and hits us nurses! Even when Dr. Ruan went to check on him, he poked her with the needle.”

”So you’re saying it was the patient’s own emotional instability and acting out that caused this?” Yan Ye inquired.

”Yes,” said the nurse, ”Director Yan, as you saw, the mess on the floor was all his own doing! The other patients in this ward have been disturbed by his noise.”

”Patient in bed three is indeed troublesome!” Ma Mei, his attending doctor, was rebuked by this boy every time she made rounds, always leaving her seething with anger.

Yan Ye nodded, ”The last thing a heart patient needs is to lose temper. If he keeps getting angry and causing his condition to flare up, that’s going to be troublesome! Have you discussed this issue with his family?”

”His family has given up on him; they haven’t been here for days,” said the nurse.

”It looks like we need to think of a solution,” Yan Ye remarked.

Ruan Fangfang listened, relieved that she wasn’t being blamed, and that the nurse’s responses were excellent, not implicating her at all. She felt extremely fortunate.

Just as she was about to breathe a sigh of relief, An Hao’s voice suddenly rang out, ”The patient’s emotions were the major cause of this episode. However, there are two reasons behind the emotional disturbance.”

As soon as An Hao spoke, all eyes turned towards her.

Ruan Fangfang knew An Hao might be about to mention her, her palms sweating quietly.

”Let’s hear your analysis,” Yan Ye said, wanting to hear An Hao’s assessment.

Ruan Fangfang’s heart leapt to her throat, truly afraid that An Hao would call her out. Last time, when she made a major mistake at work, An Hao had chosen to hide it, not revealing the truth.

Would she do the same this time?

Perhaps An Hao didn’t intend to reveal it, possibly just to scare her, intending to hold another mistake over her head.

Ruan Fangfang comforted herself, listening anxiously and silently praying that An Hao wouldn’t betray her.

”The first reason! The boy’s condition was indeed partly due to himself. The second reason is our intern’s overly aggressive speech, which provoked him! It even included some insulting words. For instance, calling him a ’burden’ and saying he ’didn’t have the guts to die’... Moreover, she even planned to use physical restraints, to forcefully tie up the patient for the infusion. This is inappropriate conduct, completely against our profession’s ethical standards!” An Hao articulately revealed the events involving Ruan Fangfang in the patient’s room.

Ruan Fangfang immediately felt her heart rate skyrocket.

She, had been sold out by An Hao!

Upon hearing this, Ma Mei thought it did sound like something her niece would do. She was waiting for Ruan Fangfang to defend herself, but the latter just stood there, dumbfounded, with no reaction whatsoever.
