As the powerhouses of the Society of Demons and Fiends hurried back to the Realm of Life, nearly 90 percent of the Demon Court’s core members had also returned.

Only Slytherin and the Dream Beast, who were leading the campaign against the entire Shadow Clan, remained stationed in the Shadow Realm.

Considering how intense the Shadow Realm war had become, Yu Zi Yu had given up on summoning them back for now.

First, because they couldn’t easily leave their posts.

Second, Slytherin possessed the inheritance of an Eternal. He possessed amazing strength, and even a Dreamscape of his own.

Even if faced with formidable enemies, he could still protect himself.

As for the likes of Nine Tails, Bull Demon, and the others… they were still slightly inferior to Slytherin.

…

“Most of your old followers have returned, haven’t they?” Suddenly, a voice sounded beside him.

Turning to the source, it was none other than Anzuiel gazing up at the skies, a rare gesture on his part, as he sized up Yu Zi Yu’s returning subordinates.

“En…” Yu Zi Yu nodded slightly and replied truthfully, “About 80-90 percent have come back. Only Slytherin, Dream Beast, Zi Lian, and Flathead haven’t returned yet.”

As he said this, Yu Zi Yu added, “Slytherin, Dream Beast, and Zi Lian are all extremely powerful. Even without me, they can handle themselves. As for Flathead, he walks the Dao of Battle. He grows by fighting, lives for the fight… So closed-door cultivation isn’t suitable for him.”

Listening quietly, Anzuiel nodded in agreement as well. “That’s true… That little guy only knows one way to grow stronger and that’s through combat.”

With a chuckle, Anzuiel couldn’t help but recall the figure cloaked in silver lightning, donned in a silver cape, like a war god incarnate.

[That little fellow… he’s a true extremist, isn’t he? A rare sight indeed, in this vast cosmos. Always fighting, or already on his way to the next battle. And yet… oddly enough, that’s precisely what makes him rather likable.]

Still, Anzuiel wasn’t certain whether Flathead could truly undergo transformation while Yu Zi Yu was in seclusion… After all, the Dao of Battle was a perilous one. No one knew how brutal the next fight might be…

…

At that moment, as if recalling something, Yu Zi Yu’s lips curled slightly as he stated with a smile, “With this, I can finally go into seclusion without worry.”

“Enter seclusion without a worry, huh…” murmured Anzuiel, and then asked, “You plan to seal off the Nine Realms?”

“Yes.” Nodding his affirmation, Yu Zi Yu smiled and added, “Not only will I seal the Nine Realms, I’ll also take them with me deep into the Void Space. In that place, the Myriad Races will never find us, and the chance of unexpected incidents will be minimal.”

“That’s wise of you.” Hearing Yu Zi Yu’s plan, Anzuiel too couldn’t help but nod in anticipation.

[If Yu Zi Yu’s seclusion went well, he might very well become an unprecedented prodigy of the ages… But before that, there is still much he needed to do. At the very least, he has to fully let go of his responsibilities over the Demon Court. Otherwise, even in seclusion, his heart would be restless…]

With that in mind, Anzuiel reminded him, “Handle your forces properly. Don’t let a century’s accumulation crumble in a day once you return…”

“I know…” Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but sigh in helplessness.

After all, who could predict the future?

Even if he sat at the helm of the Demon Court, there was no guarantee it would thrive for countless millennia, let alone when he was gone

In the end, it would all depend on fate.

What he could do now was to ensure no regrets before entering seclusion, to settle all he could.

With that thought, Yu Zi Yu’s awareness shifted toward the deepest reaches of the Celestial Realm, where a towering silver tree stood silently, unmoving.

…

“Osmanthus…”

“Master, I am here…”

“I’m entrusting the Demon Court to you… This time, my seclusion will be long. Even I can’t say when it will end. Moreover, I’ll be taking Nine Tails, Bull Demon, and the others with me…”

“Master, rest assured. With me here, even if oceans turn to dust and time shifts the world, the Demon Court shall remain.”

With words exchanged back and forth, Yu Zi Yu and Osmanthus shared a rare, heartfelt conversation.

But just then, as if sensing something, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze shifted toward a distant spot.

There, atop a massive stone, sat a girl with waist-length hair and star-like black pupils, crouched quietly. At that moment, as if aware of Yu Zi Yu’s gaze, the girl softly called out toward the boundless starry sky, “Master…”

“En…” As Yu Zi Yu responded, the starlight across the sky converged and wove together into a tall and slender figure.

It was Yu Zi Yu’s projection.

For the current him, everything within the range of his will, anything could be used to cast his projection.

Raising his right hand, he gently stroked the hair of his young Disciple, Shea, and asked with a smile, “Little One, do you have the confidence to support the Demon Court?”

“I do.” With a firm nod, Shea’s eyes gleamed with a flash of rainbow light.

That rainbow light was deep yet dazzling, so much so, that even Yu Zi Yu narrowed his eyes slightly.

It was the highest form of the Eyes of Death. The Rainbow Eyes, a power unique to Shea.

And just how terrifying were those eyes?

It could be said, among the countless Heavenly Eyes in the universe, they ranked in the top ten.

Of course, an ordinary Eyes of Death could not make such a list. But Shea’s Eyes of Death reached into the root of all things. It was far from ordinary.

And worth mentioning: not just Shea’s Eyes of Death, Yu Zi Yu’s own Crimson Celestial Eye also ranked in the top ten of all Heavenly Eyes in the universe.

After all, having given birth to a true Grand Divine Ability, his Crimson Heavenly Eye was nothing short of monstrous. Even among the legendary Three-Eyes Divine Clan renowned for their Celestial Eyes, the eyes of Yu Zi Yu’s level were exceedingly rare.

That alone was enough to reveal the terrifying nature of Yu Zi Yu’s Heavenly Eye.

“En… I hope that in the days I’m gone, you can truly become the next pillar of the Demon Court.” Saying this, as if something else crossed his mind, Yu Zi Yu added, “If you ever run into something you can’t handle, go to your Senior Sister or Senior Brother.”

“Yes, Master.” A smile curled on Shea’s lips as she involuntarily recalled those two Senior Disciples she was closest to.

Though they had only met once, that single encounter was enough to bond them.

The bond of fellow Disciples often surpassed even that of Family. However, at this moment, her Senior Sister and Senior Brother did not seem to be doing very well.

One was still braving the Twelve Trials of the Elemental Clan. The other remained on Earth, honing the heart amidst the joys and Tribulations of the mortal world.

That was also why Yu Zi Yu didn’t want to take them along.

They were still growing. How could he interrupt that?
