So, under these circumstances, all Yu Zi Yu could do was expand the influence of the Void Clan.

And besides that, he needed to rapidly cultivate two of his most trusted subordinates, Avril and the King of Knights, to Tier-6.

These two were Yu Zi Yu’s true confidants, worthy of absolute trust.

As for the other Void King, like Pride and Wings, while they held decent potential, they lacked in the loyalty department.

And thus, they simply were not worth investing in.

A slight smile played on Yu Zi Yu’s lips as a plan was formed in his mind.

However, the next moment, he threw these plans to the back of his mind for now, as his mind wandered about his return to the Demon Court.

Lifting his gaze toward the horizon, a flicker of brilliance flashed through his eyes.

“Soon… I’ll be back soon…” A soft chuckle escaped his lips, as a look of expectation appeared in his gaze.

It had already been four to five years since he had left the Demon Court.

He could not help but wonder how everyone was doing now.

However, what Yu Zi Yu was most concerned about was Shea, the very first summoner of the Eternal Dragon.

He held high expectations for this little girl.

He could not help but wonder how much she had grown.

If she met his expectations, Yu Zi Yu wouldn’t mind accepting her as his Personal Disciple.

…

However, just as Yu Zi Yu was pondering all this, unbeknownst to him, three hazy figures descended upon the Angel Star Domain.

*Boooom…* The starry sky rumbled, and countless stars trembled uncontrollably.

Looking up, one would witness the planet at the center of the Angel Star Domain, Lumina Sanctis, flickering with a bright radiance.

And the reason for this was merely three figures standing calmly not far from the planet.

The one standing right in the middle of the three garnered the most attention.

A sacred halo enshrouded his entire being, making him appear divine.

Furthermore, an overwhelming holy aura also radiated from him, spreading far across the cosmos.

The aura was quite divine, far holier than any ordinary Angel’s.

Adding more to the dread, their arrival seemed to have brought dawn to the entire Angel Star Domain. Everything became dazzlingly bright.

“God said ‘Let there be light’…” As that divine voice echoed through the starry sky, Lumina Sanctis quaked violently.

Immediately after, light surged in from all directions.

Just as the voice had declared, let there be light, and light was there.

His words became the very law.

“We’re this generation’s God of Light, Balthazar. We came uninvited, please forgive the intrusion…” A calm and indifferent voice echoed through the starry skies, causing the faces of all the Angels to change drastically.

Even the powerful figures seated high in the City of Angels wore grave expressions.

A God, and it was the legendary Higher God, the God of Light.

It was not a welcome guest.

After all, during the Era of Gods many epochs ago, when the Angel Clan had yet not made a name for itself, the God they used to serve was precisely the God of Light, a Higher God.

Wielding the Authority of Light, he was the incarnation of Light.

Although this generation’s God of Light could not hold a candle against the former God of Light, Apollo, who was a Half-Step Eternal, or in the terms of Gods, a Half-Step Supreme God, his status as the God of Light still exerted a suffocating pressure on the Angel Clan.

Just how Mice held instinctive fear toward Snakes, the Angels too instinctively feared the Gods, down to their very bones.

Though the Angels were a symbol of Light and Holiness, their purity still fell short of the God of Light.

To put it more plainly, the God of Light was a natural suppressor of the Angel Clan, both in terms of Bloodline or power.

Even if both were at Tier-6, a God of the Pantheon of Light would still have a significant advantage against an Angel.

And now, the ruler of the Light System, one the Nine Pantheons of the God Clan, the God of Light had personally arrived.

As for his purpose? It went without saying.

The Angel Clan was undeniably a first-rate Force. If he could bring them under his command, it would be a huge boost for the Pantheon of Light.

As for whether the Angel Clan refused his invitation?

At the thought of this, the golden-haired figure at the center, who was enshrouded in a divine glow, curled his lips into a faint, cold smile, his gaze flickering non-stop.

Now that the Gods’ supreme legacy, the Spear of Fate, had returned, he believed that no one could stop the Gods from ruling the entire universe.

So, if anyone refused to submit, there was only one fate awaiting them: Annihilation.

And that was the choice now laid before the Angel Clan.

…

At that moment, two figures following not far behind Balthazar, suddenly revealed a chilling expression. One of them even took a bold step forward.

“Is this how you welcome your God?” A cold, mocking voice echoed through the starry sky, carrying a tone of extreme ridicule.

[So these slaves, after being left to grow for a few epochs, now think that they no longer need their Master?]

*Hmph…* With a cold snort, two beams of divine light shot out from Lumina Sanctis.

Following the sound, one could vaguely make out two figures, each bearing six radiant wings.

One of them was, of course, Seraphim, the leader of the Angels, a fearsome Intermediate-Stage Tier-6, and the current patriarch of the Angel Clan.

The second was none other than the Lord of City of Angels, Archangel Michael.

“We, the Angel Clan, have no ties with you, do we?” Seemingly challenging the speaker, Seraphim’s voice carried a biting coldness.

“No ties, huh?” A faint chuckle escaped the golden figure. He seemed utterly unconcerned.

He had never expected a peaceful submission.

After all, might makes everything right, that was the only truth that mattered in the vast universe.

Thus, Balthazar believed that he just had to crush a few of the defiant ones, and everything would work out fine.

Still, before resorting to messy means, Balthazar didn’t mind using a soft approach.

Thus, he slowly raised one hand…

*Booooom…* A thunderous roar reverberated through the starry sky, before beams of light began to converge before Balthazar.

The next moment, before Seraphim and Michael’s astonished gazes, the light weaved into a scroll that seemed to resemble an aged sheepskin.

“By the ancient covenant… the Angel Clan shall serve the God of Light, generation after generation…” In a soft voice, Balthazar recited the sacred text, a faint smile playing on his lips.

And with his words came, beams of light gathered into a massive net of light, vast enough to blanket the entire starry sky.

This was the Oath of Servitude, an ancient contract once made by the Angel Clan using their blood, when they had bowed to the former Half-Step Supreme God of Light.

Though the contract itself had long faded from existence, every generation of Light God inherited the divine pact.

If Balthazar managed to succeed in signing the covenant again, then the Angel Clan would once again become a subservient race under the Pantheon of Light.

Of course, this all depended on one thing: whether this generation’s God of Light could completely crush the upper echelons of the Angel Clan.

In past eras, while the God of Light was always strong, bringing down the Angel Clan’s leadership single-handedly had proven near-impossible. After all, the Angel Clan was no ordinary Force. At one point, they had ranked among the Ten Great Races.

Their strength vastly exceeded what most could imagine.

But things were different now.

This time, the supreme legacy of the Gods, the Spear of Fate, had returned.

In fact, it had not just returned, it brought with it the full inheritance of the Era of Gods, when the God Clan ruled all of existence.

As for what did that mean? It did not need further explanation.

The Gods would once more rule over this world.
